  1. Correct Orlando also has testing right in the terminal
  2. I guess I am strange, because I have never cared to meet the captain. He steers the boat, cool. He's a good manager, cool Back to work, shoo, shoo
  3. I play the conversion game....how much can I convert to cash? Best way, but dull and slow, is roulette.....bet black or red and never waiver...stick to that color. ( choose whatever appears to be trending) and I can usually convert my FP 100% or more. My wife usually does it and she shops with the winnings (she doesn't gamble)...so more fun for her
  4. Don't think people aren't being infected on long plane flights or local trains and subways. Everyone just disperses immediately with no reporting
  5. The ships just aren't built that way, like a giant medical ship. You'd technically need dedicated A/C's for each cabin and so much more. They're trying to make due.
  6. Cheers package. It's not just beer and booze, but also coffee/specialty coffee, frozen drinks (even virgin), sodas and even bottles of water on deck.
  7. Hand pays get offers for sure, they want to win it back
  8. My next is a casino offer for a 9-day Rome-Lisbon and I was able to secure an aft balcony, $500 FP and Drinks Everywhere for $100pp (refunded as shipboard credit). The airfare is what kills it
  9. In Central Florida, for a while, we couldn't get some of the flavored cola's, like cherry coke or cherry pepsi. Gatorade also became hard to come by, think it still is.
  10. Yeah, trying to keep wife off the ledge
  11. Then test upon disembarkment on your own, no problem, should have nothing to do with cruise, cruise line or other pax
  12. Why, IMO, that once everyone is vaxxed and on-board, we should stop worrying about it. It's inevitable that someone is going to pick the bug up in a port stop and carry it back on. It's going to happen, no way to avoid, zero, none, unless you make every cruise a sterile cruise to nowhere. So, why test vaxxed people? Won't get sick, won't die. Everyone is vaxxed. It should all end there. I am not trying to argue, just a different look. Testing vaxxed pax at this point stops or accomplishes little to nothing.
  13. There ya go...it's a business. Between supply issues, from booze to certain sodas to cuts of beef due to costs, things are different now. There is a worldwide supply chain issue, it's not just the US, it's worldwide.
  14. Are you vaccinated? Then exposure or not, there is nothing to worry about. You won't get terribly ill or die, be nothing more than a normal flu, thanks to the vax. You'll never stop the spread, not every person in the world is vaccinated. Anyone not vaxxed here in the US has done so by choice. Knowing changes nothing. You are still vaxxed, you still won't die or even get terribly ill, because you're vaxxed. The constant on and on of this or that vaxxed person tested positive accomplishes nothing but continuing panic. Immunocompromised people are a different issue, but they still would have other bugs and flus they have to avoid, because they're immunocompromised.
  15. I am pro-vax, pro-mask, pro everything....but now we have reached a tipping point, in my opinion. The vax is available to pretty much anyone who wants to get it. Anyone immunocompromised to this is also likely at immunocompromised risk for many things and care is always a concern. But we and the media needs to stop caring about and reporting positive test results for vaccinated people. No one ever said the vax stopped infections, only it would stop severe illness and death. People are going test positive for this for years, but illness and deaths will eventually drop. I am not advocating an end of testing, for now, but media needs to stop worrying about and reporting on positive vax cases. If some politician or celebrity who is vaxxed tests positive, who cares, let's more on, not like they're gonna die or even get sick...because they're vaccinated It's unnecessary hype. If everyone on board is tested negative at boarding, then it is no big deal if a pax picks up the bug in say Panama, carries it onboard and spreads among the pax, because we know everyone is vaxxed. It reduces everyone's concerns and liabilities. If you are vaxxed and you test positive, no big deal, it's why you got vaxxed
  16. Hello, have a cruise in the fall (Carnival Pride) Rome - Lisbon I built in a couple days at the beginning and the end, and wife and I have both discovered the fun of walking food tours. We do not drink, so wine isn't necessary, just food. Want to try local cuisines. Looking for three cities actually...Rome, Lisbon and would also like to do one in Messina Sicily. Anyone with ideas or experience on this in these locations? Thank you
  17. BTW, games with the best player edge, but worst when it comes to offers.....Craps and Video Poker Video poker is so bad, they give you 1/2 the points you get for slots. Oh yeah, if I remember right, it's something like $2.50 per point on slots (so $5 per point on Video Poker). Craps is great fun, great player edge if you keep it simple . Ask the dealers to help, they'll keep you going and so will others.
  18. Funny thing is, everyone can get free drinks in casino after something like 50-100 points I believe
  19. You must be a fellow degenerate
