We will probably ride the tender in and walk around. Eat lunch on the ship. Hang by the pool. Maybe book something in the spa. Its my chill day. Its nice because half the ship is empty.

I have typed a reply to you twice but decided your grumpy rudeness is not worth me wasting my frivolous time.

Sounds nice. I love massages and have a membership at a local place. I strip down all the way because there are places on your back that is low and hard to get with clothes on. They will always keep you covered and not expose areas. Do what you feel comfy with though.

Sep/Oct/Nov are all hurricane season but also have the best prices for cruising. We've taken several in those months with no problems.
MaiTaiMary, have you tried priceline before? I always wait to buy my airline tickets 3 - 4 weeks out. It makes my family nervous but I always find great last minute prices.
I am local to Galveston (lived by the Gulf all my life not DC) and you couldn't pay me to cruise in Sept. The other months I would. It is rare for us to get a hurricane threat in the other months.
-
Dont sail in Sept. That is our high hurricane time here.
-
We eat dinner out the last couple days also. We eat breakfast the day of at our favorite local diner.
Also hubby and I both get a massage the day before. Saves $ doing it on the ship and helps us relax and sleep that night thru being excited to board.

My kids love Magic as do we!

Belize may be what it is but I would take going on that route just to go to Roatan. Its so great. I kinda make Belize our chill day and we do big fun stuff the other 2 places.
-
IMO you do need to book a tour in Belize, not much to see in town. DW and I did the Shark Ray Tour with Coral Breeze and the tour was great. However, on our cruise this December we will be booking threw the ship because Belize is a tender port and those passengers that book with the ship get off first.
Unless you have FTTF then you get off when ever you want.

I have done the Roatan one and have it booked again. Its awesome and so much better then the Jamaica route.
-
Put this one on the list of reviews that never get finished and died!

I am local too and would chose Magic. Magic sails 3 different itineraries. Why don't you sail one of the other ones? I LOVE Magic! Such and awesome ship!

We booked Oct 2013 for Christmas 2014 and bought it with booking.

It doesn't say steel drums. It says live music on the Lido and Caribbean music. Im excited either way.

No, I don't like second rate Johnny Come Lately copycats.
NCL did it in their early years, copying every little thing CCL did, but poorlly. It didn't work for them, and luckily, they dropped it and became innovators.
Its painful to watch CCL do the same thing now.
Maybe someday I will see you have a positive reply to a post because I have never seen that.

It seems to be getting an awkward reception over there as well. It appears oit took getting 24 CD's together to copy other lines ideas instead of something new and inventive. Maybe next they'll have the horn blowing Hickory Dickery Dock during sailaway.
Perhaps life size Fruit of the Loom furuit characters is next. Those 4 guys need some more exposure, and fit fight in.
You seem like such an unhappy negative person. Do you just not like anything and always grumpy? or do you do it to get a rise from others? Its not really working.
-
Its not a prank. If you join John Healds FB page you will see that all the cruise directors are in conference. They are coming up with new things to replace the same ol same ol.
-
So, basically they are moving Halloween to September??
No it sounds like it will be 1 day on every cruise that is pirates day. Not just a 1 time thing. They are trying to come up with new things to do.
-
Sounds fun and if you don't like it you don't have to participate. Problem solved.
-
Looks like starting in Sept there will be Pirate Day Fleet wide! I think its cool and will be something different and fun!
Sorry if this was already posted.

We did Mariner and Magic the yr after. While we loved Mariner and what it had to offer we loved Magic more! However I have kids who enjoyed Magic more and I think we went on a retirement village cruise week. We were the youngest on board it felt and we are ate 30's.
That said I did like that RCCL was a bit nicer then Carnival. As you can see though I am booked on Magic again. It was just way more fun.

Roatan is amazing!! Go with a private tour co and take the kids zip lining! My kids still talk about it to this day 2 yrs later. We are booked to do it again Christmas. They can also take you to the beach or something after.
Biggest advice don't stay by the ship in Roatan!

Excited for your review as we sail Magic this Christmas!

I love to sit at the aft pool chairs facing the wake. Also like those comfy yellow chairs on the deck above Lido.
