  1. To clarify, I when I type in the email associated to the account and the password, I get a message that says that the username or password are incorrect.  I have tried on the computer and on an iPad.  Safari and Chrome.  Keep getting the same error.  My dad has no problem logging into the account from his computer.

  2. Hi all,

I am trying to help my parents to book shore excursiones for a cruise they booked that leaves in less than three weeks.  My dad has given me the credentials to log into his account so that I can look up the shore excursions offered and help them decide.  However, no matter what I do, I cannot log in.  Anybody encounter this, or have any tips.  I am at a loss....

We just did our last tender port at Queensferrry (gateway to Edinburgh).  I highly recommend the bus shuttle into town combo with the HOHO bus.  It's £27/pp including the return shuttle to the tender platform.  The shuttle stop in town is right in the heart of action at St.Andrews square.  The green line has a live commentator while the red line has pre-recorded multi language commentary.

if you read my blog entry for today, I'll be honest about Princess' tender process. It'll be a few hours before I post it.  It's dinner time and that takes priority.  We gave a sea day tomorrow and Le Havre the next day.

Did you post a link to your blog on this thread?  I would like to read it if possible.

Does anyone have info regarding the HO/HO bus for Dublin?

If the bus begins right at dun laoghaire, the port of call, will it have a special pick up place to bring us back , since the HO/HO buses usually on do a loop around Dublin?

The HOHO does not go to port, but they sell a return train ticket along with the HOHO bus.  You can purchase in advance, or buy at the train station.

  5. Hi all,

Can you get a VAT refund when you purchase something in port?  I am interested in purchasing a gift for my daughter in France (Le Havre or Rouen).  However, because it is a British Isles Cruise ending in Southampton, I fly out of the UK, which now does not belong to the EU.  So my question is, is there a way to claim the VAT refund upon embarkation in Le Havre?

    Thanks in advance,

Looks like Princess is trying to fill those cabins showing and highlighting the deep discounts.

Except these do not seem like real discounts at all.  The cruise I am shows for the "today" price, the same price it was listing yesterday, and only 50 dollars less that what had been selling for unchanged since I booked in November.  For my particular voyage, they doubled the "was" price, and kept the "today" price the same.

  7. Hi all,

I am considering purchasing the DoDublin HOHO tour for cruise ship passengers that includes a DART return ticket.  A few questions:

    1) Am I correct in understanding that a DART return ticket means what in the US is called a Round Trip Ticket?

    2) The tour states the following: "Your ticket also covers your return trip from Pearse Street Rail Station back to Dún Laoghaire when you have finished visiting the City. "  I am wondering how the DART works.  In some major cities the price of the metro, subway, tram, etc. is a fixed price within a zone.  Does the DART work in a similar way?  I am wondering if I can return from the Tara St. Station with the ticket they will give me as part of this tour.

    3) Can the O'Connell or Rosie Hackett Bridges be crossed on foot?

    Thanks in advance,

On behalf of myself and all the people who have pulled out all of their hair and ground their teeth down to the roots, I thank you!  I board Regal for its first European cruise of the season and never had a doubt that things would be ironed out by then.

That has been my hope all along!  I have a European cruise as well.  Now if I could figure out how to put my "state" in the address....

Hope you are enjoying your cruise. Can you tell me which beach you went to? What type of transportation that you used? Did you  have loungers? We go in about 2.5 weeks and seeking beach options.  Up here in the NE and looking forward to this cruise.

@cruisegal40not the OP, but local to SJ.  Closest by far is El Escambron https://sanjuanpuertorico.com/balneario-el-escambron-beach-san-juan-puerto-rico/

On this same listing you will find a couple of other beaches that are close to SJ.  El escambrón is pretty protected by close rocks which is a plus.  All of these beaches are in the north, and for the last several weeks there have been rip tide warnings.  Be mindful of this, because its a serious thing.  Several tourists have died already because they do not heed the warnings.  Not trying to scare, but to warn you so that you have a safe and enjoyable day.

But, here's the rub.  For this voyage, the cruise fare for Standard in USA is $1,048 (Catg IF).  Plus is $600 more (as expected) at $1,648.  If I look at Category IE, the price jump is $100.  The Non-Ref Fare Code KGR is $1,216!!!  So, it is quite a bit more than the Refundable option.

What I am saying is, it looks completely possible (based on a 3rd party booking engine that shows ALL eligible fare types), that one can book a IF cabin using N3A and not forced to book with KGR.

So keep in mind that I booked before December 14 (after TG, so might have caught a Black Friday Promo).  At the time the price to book was exactly the same whether Princess chose my cabin or I did myself.  I chose the least expensive cabin and chose a specific cabin within the options given.  Being new to Princess I did not know what cabin category I had within the type of stateroom chosen (which was interior).  Last Wednesday I got a notice from Princess that I was being upgraded from my original cabin (listed by them as IF), to the new cabin (now IB).  This is the first time I realized I had been on an IF cabin.  It occurred to me then after reading some that even though I had picked my cabin it was a guarantee fare and that is why I was moved....But the point is that I was able to book an IF cabin even though I chose the cabin that I wanted...

See if you are getting the same result using the web Personalizer.  For most people is shows up there exactly the way it appears in MissP22's post above.  If so, print that out and carry it with you.

@JimmyVWine this is what it looks like on mine: Personalizer vs what I can see on the app. So its all incredibly confusing.... especially if the crewmembers go by what's in the app.

  12. HI all,

I cannot input my address on the Medallion App.  It keeps giving me a red pop up that says Invalid Address - State. I tried a different address (my old one) in another state, and keep getting the same error....  Anybody know how to fix this?

  13. Hi all.  We are new to Princess, and the last time we cruised on a mainstream line, the check in process was done entirely at the port.  I would like to know how soon before the cruise one can start the process of "check in".  Also, how soon before the cruise (if at all) can one see the MDR menus on the App.  That will help determine whether we choose to go to Specialty Dining or not.    I was able to make MDR reservations already and also note dietary requirements.

    Thanks in advance,

Also I have seen bar menus showing lists of liquors and wines that say included with Plus no mention of multiple plans

@memoak You are correct in that it doesn't distinguish between Plus (the current one), the Plus-50 (as mine is called) or the previous Plus-40 on the drink menus.  But on the following thread, which both of us previously commented on, there are some spirits that are 14.00 or 15.00 but are under the "Included with Premier", not under the "Included with Plus".  That, combined with the reports of people with the Plus-40 or Plus-50 that when they ordered a 14.00 drink were charged 2.00 + tip, or a 16.00 drink were charged 4.00 plus tip (should be 1.00 plus tip in this case) is what has me worried.  See post #18 for the drink menu pictures I am referring to.

This is the same as any order you place, you receive the product you paid for, no matter how much they raise the price (from $12 to $15) for drinks for Plus package.

Similar to the new vehicle we just purchased for one of our children. We ordered a Model Y in January when the base price was drastically slashed to $52,990.  Took delivery the beginning of this month; and now the current base price is $54,990.  We didn't pay "the difference" of $2,000.

Except people are reporting that they are being charged for drinks over 12 (but 15 or less) and that the drink prices have gone up….  I’ve seen it from at least three sources in two different ships.

You may share this with her.  There are two "disclaimers".

    1.  Plus beverages up to $15.

    2.  The check marks aren't included.

I'm not sure if she has Plus or Premier, but the same should apply.

If you can live without the "extras" you shouldn't have to upgrade to the $60 price.

She is on board and posted this.  Even went to guest services
