  1. OK, now that I have experienced Pier 29. Here are my thoughts. It is harder to drive into. If you arrive at a peak time you should expect to wait both to get to luggage drop off with your car or in a taxi and then also outside to get inside the terminal. If you time it right, it won’t be so bad. I got to the terminal just at noon and it was a little crowded but OK. Contrary to what I had read there is a priority line for security for those who are in suites and or pinnacle members of Royal Caribbean‘s crown and anchor society. Once inside, again this is specific to Royal Caribbean comma there are the usual check in lines by Crown and anchor status.

So the upshot of my feedback is to arrive before noon or perhaps after about 1 or 130 and avoid peak time.

Thanks for your feedback! We hope to arrive as early as we did last year and avoid the rush!!

  2. That was our original itinerary but it got changed due to the hurricanes. We'll be onboard the Freedom the 11th through 19th. I can post the compass for you, it's an 8 night still. Will that help?

  3. I really love the Freedom too!! My absolute favorite thing was the Solarium. But I also loved the Royal Promenade. We hit Starbucks / Cafe Promenade a lot on our Freedom cruise. We also had one of the most amazing meals ever at the Chef's table on the Freedom. We loved it so much it will be our next cruise and we are debating doing yet another out of San Juan after it moves down. Having a hard time making up my mind!

    Enjoy your cruise!!

  4. Hi, we are considering a southern Caribbean on either Navigator or Freedom for 11/2018. We sailed on the Freedom in February and LOVED ❤️it. DH wants to stick with what we know but I would rather choose the Navigator as it sails from Miami (no airfare for us) and it goes to Labadee. So I want to make sure I know what might be different and as I am trying to search I think I am running into old info.

Is there one more signature restaurant on Navigator (Izumi) or did that replace one of the signature restaurants we are familiar with from Freedom?

All the following questions are about Navigator:

    Is there a Johhny Rockets?

    Is there an Sorrento's pizza?

Does the Cafe Promenade serve Starbucks coffee like the Freedom?

Any other big differences I might need to warn DH about?

    Thanks!

  5. I've got the Deluxe package for our upcoming sailing and I prefer black coffee over cappucino and latte drinks so I drink the free stuff still. Is it great? No. But it's decent enough. I've had much worse in my life. About the only free stuff I don't really care for is the "Orange Juice" served in the machines. Maybe that's the Florida in me......

Have you ever tried a Cafe Americano? I think it is similar to regular coffee.

  6. We were able to get hubby the refreshment package for $18 instead of the normal $26 and we booked a Nellie's Beach Cabana for 20% off. Went ahead and added my alcohol drink package just in case they start making both of us have the same package. Hubby doesn't drink any alcohol at all so being able to get the different packages is important to us!
