  1. We have two evenings listed on our 10 night cruise. One in Koper and one in Dubrovnik. Will we get to go to both ?
  2. I am having the same problem - no history and my upcoming cruise shows me as a newbie. I am also having problems reserving shore excursions. The excursion booking form now asks if you want to use obc I guess that is an improvement and you can go ahead and reserve shore excursions without it adding to your account. However, it does not save them and every time you log in nothing is reserved ! how do I fix this ?
  3. We are not big drinkers but do like to have a cocktail after dinner. Last time we cruised Azamara we did not upgrade and we probably won't upgrade this time. I have looked at the included drinks menu and it hasnt changed since our last cruise. I found only one or two drinks in the included cocktails that I liked. I have heard mention many times that you can have ANY cocktail made with included spirits but I'm not familiar with any cocktail names I might order. What would I be able to order that is not on the menu ?

URGENT HELP NEEDED I have tried to book online as the phone is not open for answering (out of hours) I dont know if my booking was successful and I want to book back to back. Am I supposed to get confirmation ? email anything that lets me know I have booked. i have 2 hours until the special runs out. DO I just go through an agent ? what happens if the booking I am making is for new bookings only and I have just booked already ? So many questions
  6. I have often looked at "Victoria cruise line". You can do deals with them everything you "need" included, laundry, wifi, food and drinks. You have to pay for the extras. It seems like a good deal and you dont have to commit to the 3 years. You can go for as little as 6 months. I also saw in their last minute deals an inside for one month. I dont think I would like to commit to 3 years either. What if you didnt like it or had noisy neighbours lol
  7. Add bags to your booking now ! before your flight. Thats if you dont have any already booked. Its a lot cheaper to do it now than wait until you get to the airport.
  8. We got our health check email today. Will do the test in Brisbane the day before we board. The instructions are one day before boarding ...." ... COVID-19 VACCINATION & TESTING REQUIREMENTS All guests, including U.S. nationals, aged two years and above, regardless of vaccination status, MUST take a self-administered rapid antigen test (RAT) within 24 hours or a PCR test within 48 hours prior to boarding. Evidence of a negative result is required to cruise. If you receive a positive result, you will not be able to travel and can contact our customer service team at 13 31 94 (or 1-800-CARNIVAL if you are in the U.S.). Please note, a document of recovery is not applicable for this Transpacific cruise and ALL guests will be required to provide a negative test result. Guests who do not follow these required vaccination and testing guidelines will not be able to sail and will not be provided a refund. "
  9. My flight home after the cruise is 25.50 hours - Seattle to Vancouver, Vancouver to Sydney, Sydney to Hobart. Its going to be a loooonnngggg night
  10. I booked my own flights and can't check in. i have been able to print my luggage tags for ages so will just go with that.
  11. More changes. A little bit more anxiety for those DIY excursions in port. 2 hours less in Papette and Suva.
  12. Believe me you are not the only one - there are a lot of us.
  13. Dot and Janet. Taken on our last transpacific September 2020 on yhe Carnival Spirit.
  14. Nice to see you Kay - cant wait to catch up onboard. I'll be the one leading the old blind lady around :0 mum is 92 and can't see very well - I think she willb e close to the oldest on the ship. We will be hard to miss. So if you see us say hi
  15. The doco says "self administered" we are reliably ? told that you can take your own test and then take a photo of the result with the date and passport in the picture - so a newspaper with that days date on or your phone with the date and time on
  16. On the last Transpacific we had major sports played on the big screen on pool deck. They played the AFL (Australian Football League) Final for the Aussies. I think if you ask the CD they will try to accommodate any major sports.
  17. I'm ok with a party crash 😉 its open invitation - the other meet and greet is 3pm red frog BAR on pool deck
  18. Our airport shops and port chops are much more expensive than if you shop in town. Lots of discount stores sell souvenirs. (same stuff just cheaper)
  19. Hello haywoodgw - there are several meet and greets offered on "the offical Carnival Luminosa Transpacific" facebook page; There is a meet and greet specifically for solo travelers to meet others for the purpose of setting up meal buddies etc... Its the first sea day at 3pm in the red frog pub. There are approximately 35 or so solo cruisers already signed up for this meet. You likely to find someone to chat with, game with or just make up table mates for dinner.
  20. Thay always blame Australia for their problems lol. That statement is in fact incorrect. But because we are way out to see the satellite service sucks. Last transpacific in September they didnt have reliable internet and refunded everyones package and made people buy day by day. They are doing the same this cruise. This came out by email on Friday ""INTERNET CONNECTIVITY We have been actively working with our satellite internet providers to ensure adequate bandwidth is available during the voyage. However, because global satellite providers limit coverage to ocean regions, there may be instances when connectivity is slow or interrupted. Please keep this in mind as you make plans to communicate with friends and family. As a result, we will automatically refund all pre-purchased Wi-Fi packages to the original form of payment. The social, value, and premium plans will still be available for purchase on board at the discounted pre-cruise price, but only on a day-to-day basis.""
  21. You have to have an Electronic Australian visa ETA for entry to Australia it can be done on an app - or website. Just make sure you use the official page and not a visa third party it should cost you $20 AUD (around $14 USD) https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/Pages/Visas-and-citizenship.aspx
  22. Hello fellow cruisers. I know this is a long shot but I am looking for the person sailing in cabin 5326. My question being would you be willing to swap cabins so I can be next to my elderly mother. My mum is 92, blind and nearly deaf. She is not so mobile these days and needs assistance. She is in cabin 5324 and I am in cabin 5328 - it would be so much easier to help her if we were next door to each other. Let me know if this is you. Kind Regards Janet
  23. YES you cannot enter Australia without a visa. They are easy, electronic and take only a few minutes. The cost is $20 AUD (about 14 USD). Make sure you use the correct visa site with " .gov.au" in the address line. Visas and citizenship (homeaffairs.gov.au)
