I read through most of this thread and didn't see this.
I've only cruised once so I am by no means an expert.
Heading out again in May on FOC.
We took our first cruise in 2007 on the Carnival Holiday.
Neither my wife nor I drink soda or any sugary drinks (unless they have alcohol in them of course) so we were excited to hear that they had free unsweetened iced tea as we drink a lot of it at home. It was TERRIBLE. Too strong, too bitter and clearly designed to have you buy soda! :-)
On our upcoming cruise we plan to bring those individual packets with unsweetened tea that we could just add to water. One could easily do the same with other flavored or sweetened drinks.
I assume this would be allowed.
I like the iced tea. I put in a couple of lemons and lots of ice. ;)
And yes, you can bring packets to add to water.:)

Deck -Boardwalk Cabin 12329
Class – B1
Bed near the bath
Quiet Cabin-You can hear music from the Aqua Show. It isn't very loud with the balcony door closed but it is there. It was never a problem for us.
Balcony View -A great view of the aqua theater, one of the rock climbing walls and some of the boardwalk. You also can see the the water and the wake but nothing like an oceanview balcony.
Balcony Size? Normal
Was wind a problem? Not at all
Any other comments- This is a unique type of room only available on the Oasis and Allure. I would recommend this cabin.I really enjoyed watching everything from the balcony. Very nice view of the Aqua Show.
