    Using OBC at the Casino Tables?

    We have a large amount of refundable OBC for an upcoming cruise. People have explained how to use at the machines. Can I use OBC to get chips for the tables? If yes, how's best to do it? Thanks

     

    Yes...just hand them your card and tell them you want to make a charge to your room. You can also take your card to the cashier and get cash to play with.

    No "live from" this round? Boo... Who else would drag their mattress onto the balcony?:eek:

     

     

    Ummmmm...never again with that particular travel companion! Just didn't have stamina to do a "live from"'on this sailing. Plus I think everyone is tired of me after my weeks long Regal review!

    Why go home at this late date? Stay in Florida until your next cruise... :)

    All I can say is NEVER AGAIN to that travel companion!!! Just didn't have the stamina for a "live from"...maybe in January????

    I've actually been in Florida since the 7th (including 10 days on the Royal). Head back on Friday and can't even stand the thought of the cold!

    Hey Lew!

     

    Great minds...

     

     

    Triple that...I actually wouldn't hesitate. Regal and Royal BOTH dock VERY early and start disembarking passengers shortly after 6. We just finished a cruise on Royal and were off the ship by 7:30, on the shuttle to the parking lot by 7:45 and driving home by 8:00. If you do what Tracie suggested you shouldn't have a problem being at the airport by 8 or shortly after!

    Hotel in Copenhagen

    In June we stayed at the Wakeup Copenhagen Borgergade. Rooms are tiny but efficient. As we weren't there any more than to sleep and get ready in the morning it was great. The room did have air conditioning which is a rarity in Copenhagen. We were only a few blocks from Nynhavn, Stroget and close to the HoHo bus/boat stops. Hotel and rooms were super clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again! I paid $389 for two rooms for two nights. I booked through an online agency and paid prior to leaving so that I could use my credit card and forgo the 3% up charge for using it at the hotel. They do have a breakfast buffet available for purchase, I think it was $12-$15 per person.

    Casino credits

    After seeing your post I went in and was able to purchase $500 in casino credit for my cruise in December. Makes me think maybe you were experiencing a website problem. Casino Credits don't seem to be discontinued!

    Royal's St. Thomas dock?

    Does the Royal usually dock in Havensight, or does it use Crown Bay? From what I can ascertain, it's the only ship scheduled to be in St. Thomas on that day.

    Here's a link to to the page that has the schedule. It's only through October right now so you'll have to check closer to your sailing. We happen to also be on Royal at the same time.

     

    This will be my third year in a row doing this same itinerary. The first year we docked at Crown Bay....last year we docked at Havensight. It all just depends!

    Hairdryers/straighteners allowed on Princess cruises?

    Does anyone know what kind of hair dryers are on Regal? This is my first Princess cruise and I'm assuming since Regal is a newer ship they have regular hair dryers in the cabins. The last few cruises we've done I simply use the dryer in the cabin. I have relatively short, fine hair so I don't need a heavy duty model.

     

    I personally hate the dryers on Regal and Royal both. You have to hold the button down continuously to get it to work. I have super thick hair and that just doesn't cut it for me.

     

    I ALWAYS bring my own dryer and my straightener. There's NEVER been a problem!

    Thank you for your story! It was so much fun to read it. Your dealing with your daughters brought back so many memories of our daughter when she was that age. Believe me, they do get nicer as they get older.

     

     

     

    Travelling with parents can be such a hair pulling event but I'm lucky to be still able to do it. We will treasure every minute.

     

     

     

    I'm hoping we will read your next trip!

     

     

    I'm actually booked on the Royal in December WITH my parent in an inside cabin. Could make for an entertaining trip to say the least!!!

     

    Much like you I'm totally blessed to still be able to travel with my parents. And I do hope we have many more travels together!
