We are HAL cruisers and this will be our first NCL - no comparison at all and looking forward to it even thou its bigger and busier than we like.

interesting -  I feel like too many people "change" with the times -  If more held to the standard ( which has been lowered by - hmmmm snow flakes LOL)   maybe things that hold the standard high would not be lowered- just a thought  

bottom line - where what you want

gotta love all the complaining -   pick a new cruise line - I'm sure there's one out there to meet your desires  - or stay home - no one is making your cruise these lack luster, severely cut back  cruises

there is no dress code really - long pants and a shirt for men -

My husband wears a tux and I long a sparkly -   because we are older lol and enjoy elegance - but many people could care less and do what ever they want -  

love all the back and forth -   you sure can't please everybody -  glad there are so many cruise lines to choose from

Friends are dropping us off at the port.  What kind of documentation do they need just to drive in and drop us off?

if you are looking for things to do - regularly - planned activies etc.   You might not like HAL - they are not in the Let us entertain you - business LOL

I love that on a Princess ship I can order a cappuccino with an extra shot every morning that is delivered directly to my stateroom at no extra charge if I have the drink package.  Nothing beats sipping a hot drink on your balcony in a bathrobe!

don't often have a drink package but go for it

again I say - bring coffee to my room that's part of my cruise experience - also so glad I'm not a coffee Connoisseur (snob) lol    - coffee is great every where because I don't have to make it or clean it up LOL

I am so glad that coffee is coffee to me -  oh my

what I  don't understand is how you make several hundred people happy at one time  - across cultural and generational and socio economic backgrounds - I'm sure I will need find a perfect cruise and things will change over and over again-  we roll with the changes and decide whether to cruise or not and which line to cruise on.  To do what most people seem to want would cost the average cruiser more money up front -  I don't like shrimp so if you want 2 appitizers you can pay for them -  and I'll pay for the things I like.   HAL is far from perfect but I believe they are trying to stay in business and keep us happy - if you aren't - let HAL know and move on

I don't hack and where all the time -  or at all for that matter -  I don't travel sick - If someone does- I just don't sit next to the hackers Lol  as stated above

you say - "Table for 2 please" 

four hours in the  middle of the night doesn't sound like a big deal - flush the toilet later

is HAL leaving the nice reusable bags as a gift?   I like them for the beach
