Can we bring wine onboard now? things have changed. Please respond only if you have actually done this - not word of mouth info

so very well balanced thanks - wondering if 5 days effects entertainment? the food was disappointing but yes - budget cuts - I love your attitude

The people are leaving reviews on a travel website. I certainly want to know if a cruise has widespread bedbugs, bad food, etc…. And some want to know if the line is a good match and often it is not. Occasionally their tone may seem a bit snarky but in general I find most of the reviews quite reasonable even if I disagree.
and I agree - but all I heard about was "they are charging for a second shrimp" They are charging for ... If there are problems - state them and move on -

I don't think so but seems like people just want to complain - Is that the point of these threads? Lots of cruise lines - pick another

I think I've missed the point of this post - HAL doesn't live up to my expectations? Things aren't like the old days? I want what I had before without paying for it? Fortunately we all can cruse any line we want - If we aren't happy we can move on- I am just thrilled that COVID didn't kill the cruise line - and if you think it did - save your money and stay home

took advantage of this offer for sure !!!

its a do as you want dress code - yes - many basically follow the 'guidelines' - but many do not. dress as you'd like and enjoy your cruise - Many of us enjoy the class of HAL and dress for dinner and 'gala' but many do not

If I use gift cards to pay for my gratuities once I get on board - will that count towards my stars? i.e. - i bring 300 worth of gift cards and have them applies at the front desk-
-
Thank you so much for the info --- we are cruisers HAL - so we know gratuities and specialty restaurants for sure - The PLAY activities (which I won't use but hubby might) - are not on HAL - We are on NCL for the itinerary this time for sure - I don't do floating cities or malls LOL
Again thanks for the info -

where can I find pricing for all the 'extras' on the new Prima - looks like there are many - we do small ships without the holabaloo - have no idea what this might run
-
Looks like the is plenty of Pay Extra things on Prima - not interested in that but we shall see- Where can I find pricing on all of this
-
This ship looks VERY large - I'm a smaller ship gal. I will enjoy the beauty I'm sure and I'm on her for the itinerary. I will keep an open mind about the size of this ship.

I understand the mariner’s discount on the surcharge…I received my 50% discount, but I “assumed” the discount would also apply to upcharges, but I was charged the full amount for those items. Was just wondering if anyone knew for sure about upcharge items.
wow - you get a discount for dinner and then want a discount on uncharges - Cruise lines are a business !!!! pay the up charge or skip that item !!!!!!

Whose sailing Jan 25 - round trip from FT lauderdale into canal and back?? whose going??
-
so you booked on a new line HAL without checking out how the line functions>>> how's that workin for ya LOL HAL is not part ship central for sure - there's plenty to do but.... if you want to party till 2 am you picked the wrong line. poppas

I just love these "discussions" - Like I wouldn't cruise because the music isn't up to my standards - oh my - I am sooooo pleased to be cruising - is the entertainment lacking - yep - we rarely go to the shows in the evening any longer. I know these are opinions -
I am NOT wearing a mask- thanks for reminding us - yes i'm awful but it is my choice - I love cruising and I did it with a mask -(hated it) but I did it --
people get sick on cruise ships regularly well before COVID - If it makes you nervous or you don't like the music - stay home - its' that easy

I love people who complain about germs, are afraid of germs etc and sill cruise!!!!!! stay home if germs make you nervous

HAL is - smaller, quieter, classier than her rivals. Food and service unparalleled. It is NOT a floating busy resort. You will have to decide if it fits your family. The music is amazing, BB King awesome - shows are ok and you can't part till 2 am.

I love these questions - They are so subjective. Do you get cold easily? Are you usually warm? Lots of people say it chilly - I have never been chilly in the MDR -
take a sweater/wrap and be prepared - What I think probably won't help you

Still having post covid large group anxiety. Not debilitating but enough to want to avoid crowds. Looking for timing and dining suggestions in less crowded areas/times. Inside passage Zuiderdam.
you are having crowd anxiety and you want to get on a cruise ship?? an enclosed cruise ship? not sure i understand this reasoning but there is no less crowed areas or times

They Do Not force whiners to dress up LOL -- If you want dressed up, classy cruising you need Cunard and small for sure - In this day and age we do not force anyone to do anything they do not want to.
-
If you get on a ship and Do Not have covid - what good would a vaccine be. If you live in fear of covid stay home Please - I got vaccinated to get on a ship - I took a cruise with a mask on - It sucked!!!!!!!!!! I do not care if you are vaccinated or not - I'm glad to know that you got on the ship negative.!!!!
