My 2 cents. I had an aft balcony some time ago on the Epic (2012 or 2013) it was a great cruise, but my chief complaint as well as others who had an aft balcony was the soot that settled on the balcony daily. Almost like it was some sort of design flaw the way the soot would collect back there, I don't know if it's still a thing as the ship has had a dry dock since.
In many major cities you can get them the same day. In NYC for example a specific P.O. on Manhattan you go in the A.M. then come back a few hours later to pick it up.
This is exactly what I came here to say, how do people not know this?
When I went to Antarctica in '07 I had to get a job (5 months) welding, and construction on part of the EHT array, to be part of that project was so "cool" pun intended
Travel advisories are like cancer, they only go up to level 4. Ask yourself how serious would you take stage 3 cancer? I've been to Iraq and Afghanistan. Level 3 in Jamaica I'd stay onboard. There is a hot thread going on now about 2 woman being assaulted by resort staff in the Bahamas which is at level 2, and way less ghetto.

Well did Max enjoy his cruise? Does he earn past cruise credits like the rest of us? Can you imagine what reviews would be like if were all aloud to bring our dogs? 😂
I have a Belgian Malinois (Casino) who works very hard and can use a vacation, he is very highly trained in protection so he'd be a good boi.
If you are going on a cruise to Antarctica, it is not your first cruise, if it is not your first cruise you know the captain can change the itinerary at any time.
I did welding on the SPT (South pole telescope) in 2007 at Amundsen-Scott research station population 137 it was really "cool" to be a cog in the Event Horizon Telescope Project. We partied our penguins off.

I bring and use a sextant with me, over the past few cruises I've gotten better and better at correctly plotting our location. It's becoming a lost art in modern times, and only seems to attract the attention of older gentlemen who served in a navy at a time when it was wooden ships and iron men (as opposed to today which is iron ships and wooden men.)
It's been known to be done, should you be travailing with someone you know next door or make good friends with someone next door you would need 1/4" or 1/2" (I forget) Allen key, and have to weigh the divider door open if at sea with the chair or table 🙄😜
Not to victim blame but 2 young women drinking around strange men in a country with a level 2 out of 4 travel advisory. Sometimes the most dangerous thing is not realizing you're in a dangerous situation. I've seen people get complement in war zones and get killed.
A Carnival cruise with Spring Breakers + all the extra small children because of Easter recess 😯
I wouldn't take that cruise if someone else paid for it.
