  1. Thanks! What was you impression of the ship?
  2. Thanks everyone. No to get to planning 😀
  3. Can anyone provide information as to which veranda cabins have covered balconies on the Reflection? Any information and or pictures would be greatly appreciated. Whitecap
  4. MissP22; just check with cruiser who disembarked Monday (28th) and who parked at the port parking garage. Cost remains at $15 per day. Although Park N Go is slightly cheaper, the convenience of walking off the ship and directly to our car is with the difference of $1.50 per day. Of course, each has to decide for themselves.
  5. Thanks. We are booked for Jan 27th and hope the staffing has improved by then.
  6. Voljeep; was the parking garage charge still $15 per day? We like the convenience of walking straight to the car.
  7. Thanks! We usually walk from one end of the shopping area to the other and then head back to the ship for a relaxing day.
  8. Sabreline, how was the area right as you exit the tenders? We've done most of the excursion around the island in years past and the last few visits have stayed right at the port area, plenty of shopping and restaurants.
  9. Longwood50; Below is the email for the Senior Vice President of Guest Relations, Mario Siebaldi. I will tell you this about contacting them. Yesterday morning, 10-20-22, I emailed Mr. Siebaldi along with other executives of Princess, with an issue that I experienced. I'm eastern time and my email was sent at 8:30am (5:30 Pacific). At 6:00pm eastern, I received an email from Princess Guest Services indicating that they were looking into the issue. At 6:15pm eastern, I received a call from a senior adviser of Sales; at 6:40pm eastern I received a call from a senior official of Guest Services. The senior official of Guest Services spent over an hour on the phone with me going over every aspect of my issue, never attempted to make any excuses for anyone, and at the end of the conversation, advised that he agreed that it was indeed an issue and that it needed to be addressed at the highest level. I don't know what the outcome will be, but I can tell you, at least in my case, that they do care. I hope your issue gets worked out. msiebaldi@princesscruises.com
  10. Email has not been returned, so, I guess it worked. Thank you so much!
  11. Does anyone have the email contact information for Cal Almaguer, SR. VP at Princess and Carmen Roig, SR. VP Sales at Princess?
  12. Did anyone who was on this cruise ever figure out why the President of Princess got onboard? Did the toilet issues ever get solved?
  13. Oh, ok, the ole "inside out" trick. Been there done that, then the DW caught on and well, we send laundry out now.
  14. When you send your laundry out, while on the cruise, how do you know you got YOUR underwear back? First thing I do with every new package of undershorts and tees!
  15. The balls would dissolve after a period of time. If face cloths, hand towels, dinner napkins were found, a quick search of the rooms would locate the room missing these items; underwear and swimwear most likely have the persons name or initials in them, crack pipes, coke spoons and ammunition would have finger prints and food from room service is easily traceable to who placed the order. Hope this relieves your fears of non-traceable items. 🙂
  16. Dear Princess, as a loyal customer and one currently booked on the Caribbean Princess for January 2023, I have become concerned about the ongoing vacuum system and I don't mean the one used for the carpet. I would like to offer a suggestion that I hope won't be thought of as a "waste" of time. I believe room stewards should be trained to look for items in each cabin that many people believe are flushable but are not; if they find them, a note should be left in the room advising the occupant not to flush the items and the penalty that can be assessed (see below). If the room steward notices, as the cruise goes on, that some of these items are missing but have not been placed in the trash receptacles, the room steward should activate the new "flushing surveillance systems" or "FSS". By placing hidden numbered balls (cabin number) in the cabin toilet that activate each time the toilet is flushed, should a stoppage occur the ball will be located at the stoppage, traced back to the cabin and that cabin assessed with a flushing penalty, also know as the NoPePo penalty. A monetary fine of $500.00 is assessed to the cabin and once collected, is to be split equally among all occupied cabins affected by the stoppage. Also, a sign should be hung on their cabin door advising that the cabin occupants are NoPePo violators. Once word spreads throughout a ship that the NoPePo penalty is being enforced, I believe the waste issue may resolve itself. Thanks, and no charge for this idea. Feel free to patent this system for Princess.
  17. Well, my thoughts are if I were to be diagnosed with the flu, I wouldn't be getting on a cruise ship for fear of spreading it to my family and or others. If traveling to and from a doctor's office, yes, I would and have used a mask. Not knowing your qualifications for making the statement, "now that covid is mutating into a less deadly form and will continue to do so", I will only say that I hope you are right and that this happens very soon.
  18. Here is what I don't understand about the entire COVID issue: If you believe that the vaccine and boosters along with a mask, help to protect yourself, that is what you should do; If you believe that the vaccines, boosters and masks also help protect others from you, why wouldn't you do what helps others? Now, that said, if you are vaccinated, boosted and masked, and come upon a non-masked person, well, that is their choice and hopefully they won't get the virus or spread it. As far as testing prior to embarkation, if testing stops one person, if testing alerts a person to them having the virus, then testing has just worked and just maybe, helped prevent someone else from getting it, so why not test? I have said right from the beginning of this virus, I am so very disappointed in those who are tasked with the responsibility to protect the American population, for not putting their collective butts in a conference room or laboratory and finding a solution to this issue. We have become so obsessed with so many side issues, that common sense, urgency and protecting one another has fallen to the bottom of the list. Please do what you feel is right for yourself but keep in mind that we can also help each other at the same time.
  19. Great information! Thanks so much. We are scheduled for a "true 14 day" (no return to Lauderdale halfway) in January. We have sailed the Caribbean Princess a few times and have always enjoyed ourselves. We are so looking forward to getting back on the water. Thanks again for all the good info. Have a great weekend. And, GO MAPLE LEAFS!!
  20. Oh krufrank have you opened a big door 😀 Here goes: Was the ship at full capacity? Were mask being worn both at outdoor and indoor venues? Were the sewage issues still ongoing? What were the requirements at the various ports of call, i.e. mask?, vaccination cards? etc. Food is subjective but what was your opinion on MDR, Buffet and or other food venues? Any word on numbers of passengers testing positive? How did they handle the back to back passengers, did you have to test at the end of the first leg? Did you have to leave the ship on turn around day? Elevators back to normal, crowded? Thanks so much for taking the time. We have a 14 day scheduled on Caribbean Princess in January.
  21. Norm, was this a Princess excursion or private and if private, can you provide contact info please. Thanks
  22. Who's name is on the boarding pass? Yours Who paid for the cruise? You did You do what YOU feel is right for you! DW and I are fully vaccinated and boosted, we still wear a mask when we find it necessary to go inside a store (mostly do pickups). We still take all sanitary precautions. We have had some tell us that it is time to "relax" and our answer to those, including family, is do what is right for you and we'll do what makes us comfortable. Have a wonderful time on your cruise.
