I would tell you what you can do with your silly comments but it wouldn't be very nice and since I am a pretty nice person, I'll just say this; at no time have I said that we weren't enjoying ourselves, I have merely pointed out actions of others that are unsanitary and show a lack of respect toward others. We protect ourselves and find it disturbing to watch as some shove food in their mouths, lick their fingers and then go along the buffet line picking up serving utensils. You may be ok with that, but we are not. Here is an idea for you, if you don't like the thread, don't read the thread and if you don't have something constructive to say, then don't say anything. Well, if cold fries aren't worth eating, and neither is any cold entree, you would not be eating much on this ship. I can honestly say that in the seven days we have been onboard, we may have found entrees twice that were hot or at least above the luck warm stage. So, if you want luke warm fries and fear them getting cold by the time you reach your table, you might want to consider just pulling up a chair to the buffet line.

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and comments. Seems that some are concerned about the unsanitary actions of others, and some are ok with their actions relying on their own immune system to protect them. We'll continue to use all the precautions available and hope that those that choose otherwise, will be ok.

I would like to believe that a "restaurant" is complying with all codes and inspections regarding food safety and sanitation but knowing that there are some who will try to find ways around the regulations. In this thread, what is being discussed is the actions of "individuals" who by their actions spread the germs that cause a number of issues to others.

Question for you: if your Mom saw you wipe your hands on your clean shirt or for that matter, stuff your face with food while walking the buffet line, what would she have done? I know what mine would have done; I would have been jerked out of line in front of everyone and scolded. But then I come from that era where if you failed to say yes ma'am, yes sir, thank you and excuse me, you had a difficult time sitting in that hard desk chair the next morning at school.

If we return to the serving station, be it for more entree type food or the dessert station, once returning to our table we sanitize again before continuing to eat. So easy to do and a very good preventive measure.

Exactly my point. We wash at the entrance then use a small bottle of sanitizer at the table before eating.

Exactly what we have decided to do. We will also ask for a change of utensils should these things happen by people in line in front of us.

We have seen a lot of things on our cruises but can honestly say that never to the extent that we have seen it on this ship, this cruise.

Well then, you would have to also give kudos to the elderly man who sat at the table next to us and as he finished his meal, used his finger to run across his teeth to remove excess food. But wait, he wasn't really finished, he walked over to the desert, picked up and replaced several selection before settling on a piece of pie. Came back to the table, ate the pie and cleaned his teeth once again with his finger.

You're right that the eating off a plate while in line has been going on for some time. But it has now progressed to actually stuffing a French fry in their mouth and then licking their fingers, reaching down and picking up the next serving utensil. It is disgusting.

And when I use the word demographic, I mean anyone that displays a lack of manners, hygiene, respect for others, control of their children, and that could be anyone. Unfortunately, there are many on this cruise.

May have missed it, but don't recall anyone using the word, "unsavory".

Sorry that my using Word to write, edit and catch any misspellings is offensive to you. Doesn't change a thing concerning my observations. I'm so glad that your cruise was great. Maybe the demographics on your cruise was different.

I have yet to express any anger and I would appreciate it if you would get things straight. I have express my disappointment in Princess for their lack of communication and caring for their loyal customers. So please, get you bs straight.

If it were a general statement, you shouldn't have singled me out. As for the "futility of a bunch of people", how do you think change comes about? Should everyone just sit down and shut up? I'm sorry, but you said, "since you're determined not to let go, here are your choices", were you speaking to me? I didn't start this thread, I like the 20 or 30 or so others have simply added an opinion. If you don't like the opinions being stated, don't read the damn thread.

As no1racefan1 stated above, there are those that are upset and have a perfect right to be and those that are trying hard to convenience them not to be. As my grandson once told me, Grandpa, you do you and I do me! Of course he said it with a smile, and I do too!!! 😃
