  1. Another late lurker.............I wanna be immortalised and be added to that list. Have fun and travel safely. Thank you again for the review.
  2. Thank you for your valuable comments. We had cruised on Dawn Princess in previous years - it is now time for a change. The words, "You get what you pay for" are relevant. We will do better research in future as all cruise lines povide different experiences.
  3. Aus Traveller is right - The photos are of two separate areas in corners of the wall and sliding door along the balcony, hidden by the curtains. My husband was looking for power outlets to connect our C-Pap sleeping machines. As we have health issues, good quality air is crucial. The filthy areas were reported to head of Housekeeping. It took 3 hours to resolve relocating us from midship to stern and getting to bed at 12.30am. Housekeeping had no further contact or follow up. Accidents can happen, but this had been there a long time. In COVID times when cleanliness is promoted by a Company, this is not good enough. We have done 15 prior cruises and never experienced something like this.
  4. The incident occurred on Level 11. It is an old ship with maintenance issues. Health and safety should be a major priority and there is room for improvement.
  5. We disembarked P&O Pacific Explorer recently. Attached are photos of what we found behind the curtains in our room. The holes in the wall, possible vermin debris and towel animal had been there a long time. The matter was reported to management, but this is appalling in COVID recovery times.
  6. I did the same thing in China and took it to their Post Office. Unfortunately I made the mistake of sealing the box. They had me unpack my dirty laundry all over the service counter. OHHHH the embarassment!!!
  7. Thank You CC Mods for re-opening this thread! ❤ Sid has a massive following, there are a lot of older aged lurkers like myself who follow his antics. He puts a smile on our faces and makes us grateful for the small everyday things we all take forgranted. Thank you Sid for your wonderful writings, please keep on blogging. Best wishes to all. Anne
  8. Brilliant suggestions thank you, those ideas sound like a brilliant plan and very much the type of touring we like to do. From your photos, the ship looks to be in close proximity to the City limits. Thanking you.
  9. I will be very interested in hearing your days activities as we will be in Cairns on a cruise later next year. The ship will be overnighting there and as we have done Kuranda Village area previously, I am looking for other ideas. Your comments will be welcomed. Hopefully the weather is kind.
  10. We will be returning to Cains next year and will overnight also. As we've done all the usual Kurranda attractions etc. I am looking for alternative suggestions. Any ideas please? We will be there on a Sunday. Cheers Anne
