  1. All I know is that a can of coors light was $7.49 + 18% grats.
  2. If you feel guilty then tip extra. It’s like using a coupon or discount at a restaurant and I base the % before discount. Remember the % goes in a pool and allocated accordingly.
  3. 1.50 here and a $1.50 there can account to a bunch of moneys. Do you recall the movie “The Office” where a programmer fixed the calculation if taxes and round up penny and after a while they millions deposited in a non company account. oennies add up. During the pandemic Caesar’s casinos in Atlantic City when you cashed the ticket it at a cash machine would give you the paper funds but not the coins. The machine would give you a voucher for tha coins. The big question how many of these folks traipsed to the cashier and cash them. Someone must have complained because when I went to the casino last week, it asks if you want to donate to a listed charity. This I don’t mind as the casino is not keeping the change.
  4. I had one but rd erased after I believe Florida Surf the cruise lines. It was a long time ago.
  5. This topic has been beaten to death. No easy solution. Either you tip or higher fares. On land tipping was in the 10%, then 15, 18 and now @ 20%. In some cases it’s 20+ as some folks tip on the whole bill rather than excluding state/local taxes. In addition, some restaurants will include a 2.5-3.5 % cc fee. Waiting for the “Chair Hogs” to make an entrance.
  6. Maybe Royal in addition of T&F a gratuity line of a % of the fare thst cannot be removed aka T&F.
  7. Also, if your e docs list the old rate and you prepay prior to cruise, one will pay the rate per the docs. Does this still apply.
  8. We found that table for 2 works best as the waiter does not wait for anyone else to take orders. On Oasis presently and sit at table for 6. if table-mates are a bit late he asks if we want to wait or order our meals. a Also, some waiters will ask if you have a show to catch.
  9. Mine was on Oasis by the Beach Pool bar.
  10. So are you saying that inflation is limited to those countries with capitalistic system. I think I’ll go refresh with an economic course. Maybe supply & demand has something to do with the situation. Or possibly push for worldwide price control.
  11. Economics, less Cabin Stewards required. I know that I would think twice on the extra grats.
  12. I’m on Oasis and in 4 days only once have I signed a receipt. It was eye opening. Coors light $7.49 + 18% grats if I was paying🤣
  13. The devil is in the details. No one has any idea as to the size or quality.
  14. On Oasis presently and haven’t signed any receipts. Whether in Casino,MDR, Sorrento or Coco Cay.
  15. Look up topic "New Menu on Symphony Reported". Test menus illustrated in topic and the lobster photo is on page 8.
  16. This topic IMO is an offshoot of the test menu presently on Symphony. The so-called menu is quite skimpy and get rid of the classic entree options. As a substitute on lobster night is the so-called Maine lobster tail, which from the picture is not any bigger than the present Caribbean one.
  17. I thought it was within a 3-month range.
  18. If one wants Special Dining, Chop's + 1 in the planner is a good price as compared to on board pricing.
  19. When I used the Key at Oasis from Bayonne, we met at Boleros to get off at port.
  20. The entire deposit or a $100 pp change fee.
  21. If you are disabled, there’s special areas set aside for the disabled.
  22. My bad, I thought the reference was to the size, eg. cucaracha.😜
  23. The sample photo as posted in another thread of a Maine lobster tail must be a midget as it looks the same size as the Caribbean one which some posters are calling a bug. I believe it was mentioned of $17 for a second plus 18% grats.
  24. I’ll see what it states when I board Oasis this Sunday. If same error, I’ll bring it up.
