  1. Doesn't look like a balcony cabin. It's looks more like Oceanview.
  2. Usually, you get outrageous pricing when the sail is sold out and no cabins available. Sometimes you should see the pricing of suites.
  3. A few years ago on our Anthem NE/Canada sail, the night we left Bar Harbour Maine, the MDR had whole lobsters on the menu. This was in addition to lobster night. It was a very pleasant and delicious surprise and the lobsters were not frozen.🙂 The next day, the MDR luncheon menu had lobster rolls. We were excited and assumed that they had excess lobsters, however so disappointed as it tasted with some seafood and very little lobster. It was blah and did no justice to the lobster roll. Not even close to the one that we had in Portland, Maine.
  4. Maybe the promo does not apply in this instance. Read the fine line. I learned from a poster that a promo of "DP340" does not apply to July & August sails. I had to go back and read the finite ever tiny notes or disclaimers.😊
  5. Ask for fresh made pancakes at the waffle/pancakes station. See my post #37.
  6. I'm almost positive that I had an omelet made at the egg center on my January '22 Allure sail. I simply asked a supervisor and it was delivered to my table.
  7. It's not the cruise industry, but the primary culprit is the CDC.
  8. Did you get off on the wrong side of the bed. I got my pizza at the Cafe and it's the same as what you get at Sorrento's. it may not have salads and all, but it's still pizza.
  9. Depending on the time I recommend Sorento Pizza. Can't remember if Mariner has a Park Cafe.
  10. They did that on the December Mariner and January Allure sail.
  11. Hope it is an improvement in the internet speed and cost.
  12. I had a similar experience on my Easter anthem sail. Went to the WJ about half hour after they opened and went to the waffle station and asked for freshly made ones—he points to the ones under the warming light I told him thst they have been standing there and I want freshly made. He gave me a sneer, but I did not care as I got what I wanted. They were delicious. I only wish they had ice I station and I would be in heaven. 🍦
  13. We are not sure what the OP selection was or the listed on-board pricing. If surf only, and I use the most recent Anthem on-board pricing of $21.99 it would come out to $263.88 ($21.99 x 12) and if S&S it would be $323.88 ($26.99 x 12) versus what the OP has indicated. Ps. The 12 days is arrived as 1 day of not internet and 2 free days for the 2 Ds internet coupons.
  14. Remember you are paying for the view. Lots of Wall St. money
  15. My SIL was telling me that prior to the pandemic initiation/entry fees were at $750K.
  16. On Allure in January. Not advertised and you have to ask them at the eggs station. Had 2 omelet stations on Anthem on Easter week.
  17. Saw this at the next cruise dept while on Anthem and found it very educational. Hope you find it interesting. IMG_1354.MOV
  18. It was a bad 3.5 hours, but I was laughing uncontrollably as to the stupidity of the security person.
  19. I had 2 issues on my Easter Anthem sail. Checked in via a laptop and entered all of the basic information but would not allow me to print the Set Sail pass. No indication of what was omitted or screwed up. Decided to enter on my phone still was having issues. Called the IT dept. and someone is telling, me something, but I did not understand her due to her accent. I was able to pick up country of birth. So, I go to my phone and re-enter my country of birth, however no luck. Read on this board that a poster was having the same problem as the country of birth kept dropping off. Finally, after about 3 other times it worked. The frustration is that there's no indication of where the mistake or omission happens. The 2nd issue was making reservations for the North Star on the APP. There are 2 versions--one is for pay on sea days and the other on port days is gratis. Supposedly, the reservations open up at 8AM each day. So. on the first port day, I immediately try to make reservations and it tells me that it's all sold out. I said to myself maybe my fingers are not as fast as others in keying on the phone. Tried on the 2nd port day and the same message. I was going crazy, and the problem was that there was one final port day, otherwise I would be shut out. I tried getting some staff to help, but they were getting nowhere. I finally turned to the D Concierge, and he made some excuses, but no promise. I muttered something to myself and hoped. Got a call late in the afternoon that my 4 reservations were in the system--I said to myself--Hallelujah!
