  1. Thank you all for the advice. Christy, for the Dailies that I looked at, there seems to have been a tour(s) on Wednesday, the first day in Bermuda. I was surprised to see that, and glad to see that there was another option (Friday, a sea day). I'm not sure if there was any other day listed.

I will be running to the excursion desk ASAP upon boarding.

  2. Dockyard on the pier has limited (and, what I consider mostly fair to poor WiFi coverage that barely reach mid-ship height on the open decks ... IMHO, not worth it - but a 3 days pass, was last reported at about $15 USD in total, not bad.

Ugh. I was going to recommend this to the OP. I'm planning to use it myself, with no other WiFI. Have other people had better experience with the short term WiFI you can get in Bermuda? We don't need it for work, just to stay connected.

  3. I don't know if you would consider this a big win, but it was for me! A few years ago I got $800 on a Quick Hit machine, and I was not playing the max (probably $.75). This was at a time when I went on this much needed vacation on a shoestring budget, and this more than paid for my cruise. I was thrilled.

  4. He will be going on his first cruise (my third) this summer, and is refusing to go the seafood specialty restaurant on board for fear that the fish can't be "fresh" unless they are reeling them in as we cruise. I know that this isn't true, but I have no info except that we don't have scads of people on cruises suffering from food poisoning!

  5. OP, I am in the same situation. I have tried to find out where the bed is because our adult son is coming on the cruise with us, and I am betting that he will be coming in later than we are. And also because I'd like to be near the balcony! But so far, no one has mentioned that they have been in my exact room (Escape 15156, in case anyone knows it!). Oh well, we will deal with it however it is. Knowing ahead won't change it, and we aren't changing our room. Anyway, good luck to you, and I hope you find out soon.

  6. OP, I am not sure why some people are giving you such a hard time. I would have been very disappointed, as well. I don't think it would have occurred to me to get out and cancel the rest of the tour, but that is a good idea if it happens to any of us in the future. It sounds like a total bust as a "tour" of the island. I hope the rest of your vacation was fun.
