This amount can vary based upon ship and accounting dept. I was on Enchanted last June and had a small amount of OBC left that was less than $25. I went to Guest Services and asked to be ‘cashed out’. The agent replied the $25 limit can vary based upon ship and they had to go back to ask supervisor if they could cash me out and it was granted.

Seems nothing is consistent with Princess.

*Anything* that is charged to your folio onboard will be combined with any OBC that you have on record.  If by chance you have any *refundable* OBC left over at the end of your cruise, depending on the amount...they will mail you a check or you *might* be able to cash out at GS before leaving the ship.  I don't know what that cutoff threshold is...I've NEVER had anything left over! 😄

I was told awhile back that the cut off that guest services could refund in cash was $25.00 or less. If refundable credit was over that amount a refund check would be mailed to you.

    Don't reserve Uber in advance.

I would just take a taxi. The only concern you will have regarding the Sumner Tunnel is the additional traffic. To get from the airport to the seaport you would be going through the Ted Williams tunnel anyways for a single exit.

Actually, you could just take the Silver Line from the airport to the Seaport, as long as you don't mind schlepping your bags. The Silver Line at the airport was designed for air travelers so there are racks. It's also free if you get on at the airport.

    Thank you for that information.

That’s not possible. I regularly take UberX downtown from Logan and it’s usually around $28-30 and even UberBlack is $50ish. I just looked on the app now and it’s the same.

Uber doesn’t have a fixed rate- it will depend on demand. Never prebook at an airport as the rate is always much higher than it usually is when you summon the car when you get there (which could be what happened here).

Uber or Lyft are going to be the best way to get from Logan to the Seaport.

I must have been looking at Uber Black as I just checked on my phone again and the rate for today was $25.00 so thank you for the information. However when I went into make a reservation and put in arrival date of August 10 the rate changed to $63.90.So that's quite an increase.

  5. Hello

With the closing of the summer tunnel can someone please advise me of the most economical way to get from the airport to the hotel I am staying in at the seaport. I looked up Uber and their rate was $89.00 which seemed extremely high. I also looked up another car service and their quote was $69.00. I arrive in August but the tunnel is closed the weekend of my arrival. Any information is appreciated.

I know the water taxi is an option but since I will have luggage to haul are taxis available from where the water shuttles drop you off?

  6. We have cruised on the Caribbean, Emerald, Ruby, Sky and Enchanted and have not seen any offerings for the Ultimate Ship Tour. As mentioned by karatemom2 they still do the Galley tour after the cooking demo on all of the above ships we have sailed on.

  7. We prefer the luncheons. Food taste delicious and the presentation is exceptional.

We do not care for the cocktail parties because when we are lucky enough to be invited we have found that many officers do not mingle at all or just stop and talk to one table.

Everyone has different experiences. As others have stated just happy to be invited.

  8. Hi all.

We have reservations in October 2024 for a B2B on the new Sun Princess when she starts sailing from Fort Lauderdale. I have tried several times over the past two months to make individual dining reservations but always get the response “Sorry we could not find any reservations at this time.” Is it possibly too early? Only looking for replies that are for October 2024 or beyond. Thank you.

Look at your loyalty level, if correct, you could log in and buy it. Or, if his loyalty is correct on the old App, why not buy it on there?

    You can also buy OB.

I was planning to buy it when on board so I can use my OBC.  I will have to buy under the old app as my status shows correctly on that but now my husbands shows incorrectly under both the old and new app. Mine is incorrect on the new app only. Just something else for me to have to deal with. That’s not what vacation time is for.

When we made Elite after our last Princess cruise in Nov, we had to contact our TA to have our upcoming January booking updated with our new Elite Loyalty status. Just curious if your January booking reflects your current status, especially if your Loyalty status was upgraded to Platinum after you booked your upcoming January cruise?

We have been elite for years so don't know why this occurred.

  11. When I opened the new app, I was timed out same as others. When I was able to quickly look at our upcoming cruise in January it shows the wrong Captain's Circle Status for my husband and I so now we cannot buy the internet at 50% off. Just more headaches for all of us to deal with when we are on board. When will the insanity stop!

We are doing a back-to-back on the Sun Princess in September and only the second leg shows up in the app.  I know from experience that trying to add the booking within the app is still problematic, so as long as I can see it in my online account, I know that there's no point stressing about it.  Just by way of curiosity, did you try using the Web Version of the app?  That does allow me to access the booking that way.  HTH!

No I also don’t stress about it. There are still many problems with the app. I just called my CVP and it was corrected.

I have this exact same problem.  I have a confirmed reservation showing on the website, but I cannot get the journey to show up on the medallion app.  States booking number not found.  However, I have a later Sun Princess booking that does show up on the app.  Help

I called my CVP and she was able to fix the problem. She said something was wrong with the email address.Contact your travel agent or Princess there is probably a very minor error somewhere.
