Thanks Sharon. As you know, we considered the repo from New York to Miami but could not make it work. We will however be getting off the ship as you are getting on in New York for a TA event and sleepover. We will see what works for the Horizon.

Too bad things didn't work out for the Repo. We have a great roll call, with some great friendships already made. Fingers crossed for the TA!

Hoping to retire by then and either will be inaugural or TA

Wonderful review and fantastic photos, Jimbo!
Some of us from the Vista Repo are already planning on the Horizon TA. Looking forward to it already [emoji3]

Sure thing....
650? Yikes!
If all attend the M&G, that will have to be a huuuuge (sorry, Donald:rolleyes:) venue!:D
Ours is 'only' at 161, currently, and I thought that was large.....:)
We have about 250 signed up for the formal M&G - so we definitely need a large enough venue. We need room for our shenanigans :).
Either way, we're going to have a fantastic cruise!

I took a look at your group website....very impressive!
I am on the cruise just ahead of yours (5 Nov), and we are just getting started in comparison.....:o
Thanks! With a roll call of over 650 people, both here and "there" we wanted a common place to hold all the info for both - so nobody would miss out :)
The group has been very gung ho since the start, so it was very easy to get the ball rolling.
Almost double-digits until the Nov 5th cruise! Please keep her in good shape for us :)

Hi Sharon,
We might surprise you and come on this cruise. Just need to work a few things out. We did the Inaugural and are going on the TA so might come home and turn around to do the repo too.
Hope to see you again too!
That would be awesome! Our group is very organized, and I guarantee a good time :). Have a look at our group website - link is in my signature :)
Fingers crossed!

used to be a funship, but as of my last cruise, I prefer the "cruiser".
Those are my "go to" drinks, too! [emoji484][emoji484]

Anyone? Bueller? Lol!

Seems everything they do is still all or nothing.
They even send them them to Platinum, Diamond and FTTF members.
Yes, because they need to select check in times too.

When you make the payment via a TA it should still show a transaction with Carnival on your credit card, if it isn't I wouldn't use that TA any more because they must be holding your funds.
My cruise is almost 200 days out still and I can print my boarding pass because my TA runs my payment directly to Carnival as they should. Granted I will have to reprint my boarding pass when I can finally sign up for a check in time as that isn't available yet for our sailing:rolleyes:
Exactly.

Strange. Have you completed your online check in? Worse yet, maybe your TA is holding your funds, and hasn't paid CCL yet.

Yes. You'll need the other person's booking number or sailing month to look up their reservation.

No reason for TA to hold onto your funds they should go right to the cruise line. Would find a new TA immediately.
I agree with this. My TA applies funds to my account, and immediately sends me an updated statement.

We routinely book flights for 1:00 pm or so, and have no issues.

Hi there Froufie!
Make sure you get Vista over in one piece so it is ready for my repo cruise in November.
Hi LouTheGlue - I am right next door in Kanata. Now that you have the inside scoop on Vista and both Froufie and I will be on upcoming voyages we should get together and discuss! I have seen SenatorsFan chiming in here and there and don't know if she is on an upcoming sailing but maybe she'd like to join in as well. We can have a Carnival Vista Meet and Greet!
Love your review by the way.
I'll second that!

I wish I had given smoking areas some consideration before I selected a cabin on deck TWO for the TA. I am so bummed that I didn't think about it ahead of time. I prefer not to be indoors to smoke, but realistically, I don't see myself making the hike up to eleven every time I want to smoke for two weeks. :( I tried to change to a higher level cabin but the cost is just too much more.
Guess I will not make that mistake again, huh? lol
There's always the casino bar on deck 4, and another smoking section deck 5 forward, starboard :). Have a great cruise!

Guy's Burgers are complimentary across the fleet. Maybe I'll actually try one in the Vista :)

Wow. I hope the person is ok. But if they jumped, wouldn't it be more prudent to stop the ship at this point and begin a search as well?
Someone on FB reported that the ship is stopped.
