Well, China is textbook communist. According to a Google search, 2 million plus Americans visited China last year spending gobbles of $$$. Why pick on little old Cuba? Twenty-First century perspective is needed. I am glad that Americans who still want to cruise to Cuba will be able to do so.
Guess there won't be any fire sales of empty cabins for naysayers in Miami-Dade County.
Not to mention all the "made in China" products purchased in the US (and other countries) every day.

OP, we were in 5210 for the Repo, and loved it! The Havana life is awesome!

I have a ? about the Lanai area when the Havana area is open to all the people can they access the Lanai area or how is it closed off to the public
During the day, only Havana folks are permitted both in the pool area and outside decks. After 7:00 pm, all are welcome. We only saw 1 family stroll by our cabin on the Repo.

Sorry this happened to you!
There's no telling if the fraudulent charge was a result of using your card in Mexico.
Scammers can hold on to card numbers and pins for months before finally making a purchase. This is what I was told by my bank.

Hi there
Yes. When the internet is slow, I have waited 5 min or more for a page to load. At the $.75/min this can add up. If it is too slow, I have just shut it down and tried again later. If you explain to guest services what happened, they have always reversed the internet charge, but it can be frustrating.
hope this helps
I wish I would have thought of that! Thanks!

We fly AC all the time, and have never had an issue. Do you pre-pay your seats? Thinking maybe that's why we've never had an issue :)
Internet connection can be pretty slow. Spent $14 one sailing trying to confirm my flight, and gave up!

I've done it, but I don't recommend it. Anything can go wrong causing you to miss the ship!

Carnival Breeze, February 23, 2019. All solos welcome :). Bunking in a 4J with a fellow Vista Repo friend. Hubby has given up cruising [emoji15] , so glad I have a cruise buddy!
Our fun group can be found on a popular social media site [emoji6]

Start now with your roll call. If you can't set something up there, then you'll certainly meet lots of friendly people on the ship, whatever you decide to do - trivia, shows, bars, the pool, the piano, the nightclub, and everywhere else. You can also meet people on excursions - especially if you take one from the ship. You can also get in line for dinner and ask the people in front and/or behind you.
Great advice!

Great to see your review, Jimbo! We loved our HC on the Repo. Would re-do that entire cruise in a heartbeat :). We really enjoyed the Vista!

Thanks, Rich! I had to look back at Bernard's Tours excursion info, and Oyster Pond is listed (although there is an Oyster Bay Beach Resort).
One of my favourite wines is Oyster Bay, and I often say "pond" instead...lol!

Do you remember the name of this area?
If I'm not mistaken, the pictures of the gentleman showing the native sea life is at Oyster Pond. I've been there twice, but I could be mistaken :)

Nice to see your post Sharon . Never a hijack ! :) Great picture .
Some have said unkind things about John but I would be happy to sail with him .
He was very gracious and humorous as always! John showed up just as we were pulling door prizes he provided, and added both JiJi and Cucina dinners too! Matt, not to be outdone, provided a Steakhouse dinner, and drew our $400 half and half ticket.
Our M&G was very memorable, as was the entire cruise!

Oh I didn't realize that John Heald was on your cruise until I read it on your November 20th Fun Times .
Was he actually the CD or was there another CD and John acted as the Carnival Brand Ambassador .
( I'm not sure what that actually means :D )
Hey Rich!
JH and Matt actually attended our M&G!
Was great meeting Mike and Tracy! Maybe we'll bump into each other some day (being a fellow West Islander, and all!)
Sorry to hijack!

Food and water safe to consume?
in Cozumel
Posted
We have vacationed in Cozumel 3 separate times, as well as multiple visits to the island via cruise ship. We have eaten everything (hot food, salads, beer, iced drinks) with no problems.
It may have been mentioned already, but even the locals drink bottled water. Local water is too mineralized for consumption.
