In a very comfortable Uber on the way to airport. Driver is a professional award winning, actor who does this in spare time and it’s been a pleasure speaking with him. Mr CT having a snooze! I gave Ziggy & Zumi some new grass as a parting gift!

Aw! We will just miss each other! I’ve been in YC in three shops that are ‘sister’ ships Virtuosa, Grandiosa and Euribia. World Europa looks different, so we are intrigued! Let me know if you need any particular information checking out. Good to have you along!

Checked in online with British Airways. Got these flights with reward points so pleased about that. Mr CT just finishing his packing. I just finished mine a while ago! Got house ready for our cat sitters and bought in extra treats for them! Then we’ll be up nice and early to call an Uber to London Heathrow. We enjoy the ease of door to door service -as can’t be bothered with train changes and the like! I’m really looking forward to this break. It’s been icy in U.K. and although the nights are getting lighter, it is very cold. Let’s hope we get some sunshine!

I’ll try and find out when we get onboard. They never tell you the times of the excursion til the last minute when onboard but I’ll try to find out. Whenever we booked excursions with MSC we are only given tickets the day before - I guess so they are accurate with the times- just in case of delays or cancellations. Meanwhile, someone else may read this that have been on that excursion into Rome and May remember the times.

Thank you. We have done the itinerary many times. Last years report covers a great excursion we took Rabat, Mosta & Mdina excursion in Valletta and another to Aix-en-Provence from Marseille both booked with MSC. Both were good!

Yes, Mark, I wonder that too! I have had a few people prepare me that it may not be such great service in the YC restaurant as so much bigger but, I’ll certainly report what we find!

Here goes with another live review of our January cruise around the Med on a new ship to us, MSC World Europa. Following a fabulous New Year’s live review from @Stockjock-this will focus on Yacht Club experience in particular. We have a couple of MSC excursions booked and I’ll report on those and I’m sure there will be food photos, menus and snaps of the entertainment on offer. We are intrigued to see this large ship and in particular check out the new design with open y shaped stern. Equipped to carry 6762 passengers and 2138 crew, is this ship too extensive to enjoy or an elaborate extravaganza? Please follow along on our trip and feel free to ask me if you want any information.

I hope GF is feeling better. We both came home from the last trip with a virus but have recovered now ready for this months cruise! 😅 Thanks again for your report. I think I’ll do one but focused on YC on World Europa as you’ve covered a lot already! I have friends at home asking when I’m going away again so they can ‘travel along with me’! 😂

Beautiful photos! Regarding getting off late….this is good news. When we were on Virtuosa in November, they came and found us in YC to drag us down to be checked out by Barcelona authorities! Even though we had arranged to stay onboard for lunch in YC! Luckily, our hotel were brilliant and checked us in early. It was a rude awakening as, I had just settled down on a lounger in YC outside area and, we were ‘found’ and told we had to leave the ship immediately! This was at 9.45am! 😨 Our assistant butler escorted us down in such a kind and friendly fashion and loaded our cases in the taxi. This made it feel better but I never take it for granted that I can stay onboard for longer now! 😅 Our flight home isn’t until mid afternoon, so this is good news for us! Thank you! 😇

Recently on Euribia, it was on a day that lots of Germans got onboard in Hamburg. It was a Monday and Gala night. On Virtuosa, it was the day we boarded in Southampton. Best to just go to the Perfume and Make up shop and ask. They often have an offer of two items for 10%, 2 for 15% and 3 for 20%. So that’s fine if you want three items. They also do a 20% off day (even for one item) once a week. Also, for loyalty members there is a spend $50 and get $10 off on boarding day.

Thanks for all the detail in your report. It’s really interesting. (You know, I am intrigued about the trout vomit delicacy now! Wish you had taken a photo! 😂) I was imagining that nothing would be included in the tea place so it’s good news to hear we can have a cuppa in there included in our drinks package. Is this true of the champagne bar too? We have Premium extra package (up to €14) so hope we can get a glass in there or just pay the difference if not. glad you enjoyed Masters of the Sea pub. I think it’ll be where we enjoy the ship entertainment the most, although we love shows too. Enjoy Malta! It’s so beautiful there.

I usually buy make up and perfume on the ‘20% off’ day!

If you can check on the Daily Sheet to see who is entertaining in there, that would be great! have a champagne for me! 😂

I was hoping for a Garden Cafe meal but guess we’ll have to make do with Butchers Cut….again! is there a Masters if the Sea punk onboard and if so, who is entertaining there? it’s one of our favourite haunts on other ships!

Which ship are you going on? I’ve been in YC on Grandiosa, Virtuosa and Euribia all have been brilliant! About to go on YC World Europa next week. I’m sold on the product! 😊

The best way to have a VIP experience on MSC is to travel in yacht club! There will be a cocktail party where all the officers are introduced. Often there is no Meet and Mingle on MSC as the sailings pick up and drop off people at each port, like a bus. Its up to individuals to arrange a Meet and Mingle. I’ve done this before on previous trips but not this one. We board on the 12th! Not long now. Enjoy!

Wow, it sounds like you had to work really hard to get good service from butlers and concierge! I would escalate to YC director, just to feedback your experience so far. He should show interest and take notes and sort things for you. I’m sure as you missed out re Butchers Cut he will be able to swing something for this cruise rather than you wait for the next one. As you said, it is from their error not yours. You’ve done well to spell it out to both butlers so, now hopefully, you can enjoy improved service.

I do wonder though about the waiters in the section that you first sat in. It is them that need to have their lack of service addressed. If the manager isn’t told they cannot do anything about it. Yes, if you give a second chance, that’s great if you end up sitting somewhere else but, the people sitting in the original place still have the inattentive waiters! 😅 I always feedback in a very friendly way with both positive and negative. Im enjoying your review so far!
