We attracted their attention Humpback Whale near the Sapphire Humpback Whale fin Icy Strait Point Gondola Cream of Wild Alaskan Mushroom Soup, Truffle Cream Spaghetti and Giant Meatball Seared Flounder with Alaskan Cold Water Shrimp MDR food is just excellent on this journey so far.
  2. I am totally surprised how good Medallion Net works on this ship. Pretty fast and reliable. Even here, far up north.
  3. I really enjoyed it. Soup with potatoes and bacon. And green onions on top, which perfectly fit to the dish. Just nice after that cold day.
  4. No, we don't tender in Skagway. The cruise director explained it: We will stop right at the dock, but the dock is a construction area right now. So shuttle busses have to be used to pass the construction site. Must have to do with the landslide last year.
  5. Alaska welcomes us with a cold, wet & windy day. Disenchantment Bay Drifting ice Hubbard Glacier 7 miles wide, 600 feet tall, 350 feet above the waterline Iceberg Fishermans Clam Chowder Fettuccine Alfredo Parmesan & Panko Baked Cod Another very good MDR dinner.

  7. Another sunny but chilly day in the north Pacific. Today's dinner at Sterling Steak House. Jumbo Sea Scallops, Salmon Caviar Black and Blue Onion Soup Surf & Turf Filet Mignon with Maine Lobster Tail I ordered the filet medium, but it came well done. Anyway, it was a superb dinner.

  11. It looks like we will have to tender in Skagway. Cruise Personalizer didn't show this prior to the voyage.

  16. On Asia sailings on the Diamond Princess, the kettle is also used to make instant noodles. Japanese won't go anywhere without their instant ramen.

  19. mmmh, sea hedgehogs ... 😆 Still waiting for Casablanca photos. As Island Pricness seems to be the only ship since Covid-Restart that really made it to this port. All other Princess ships cancelled before.
  20. Not up to date. It's the same menu now like Crown Grill (with the lobster & surf & turf stuff).
