Thanks for the review! I am looking into this cruise for next Oct...and am eagerly reading all I can about the ship & cruise ports...where in NY does the ship sail from? Trying to get an idea on airfare....

"IF" it is a sofa bed it will only be a loveseat size...not very big at all. I had the same cabin on the Radiance and it had a loveseat...we didn't need the 3rd bed so I don't know if it made into one or not...

If you need a full size sofa bed you need to move to a D category...

It would be helpful for her to have a copy of the Setsail pass...they generally ask to see it along with id when you are going thru the security line...you can link her expenses to your card on the online check in...or as was suggested...have her set up a cash acct. at boarding & then just change over at guest services onboard...it's not a problem at all...

But when did you make final payment? When you booked and made the initial payment? ? I agree with the approach they suggested but you didn't say anything about making final payment as part of the booking process.

Pretty sure a cruise booked now for Sept. is past final payment...so full payment is due at booking...

Totally depends on the muster station assigned to your cabin...as Bob said most are outside....some are inside at the Schooner Bar & other inside locations...luck of the draw...but at least no more life jackets...

I am on the same sailing. Final payment should not be due until August 15th. This is 75 days from sailing. You may have more time than you thought to search out price drops.

I think they have changed the final payment date to 90 days out now...for most sailings...

Mine are currently in the Personalizer/circle savings account/cruise credits

Thats the way it worked for us and the friends $25 came off their cruise fare.

Have they changed that?

That's the way it's worked for us too. The $25.00 came off the price of the cruise. We didn't get OBC for it.

Mine is definately OBC...it was showing that way in the personalizer & now shows on my passenger confirmation receipt from Princess...and the friend who referred me also has $25 OBC,,,

My two sisters did the referral/new guests for the 25.00 obc and it doesn't show up on my princess account - They got the email that said they were signed up w/ the 25.00, will it show up later or should I call Princess? Thanks

I had a $25 referral credit & it showed up in my cruise personalizer right after I got the email...when I made final payment the agent then applied it to my cruise and it shows on my confirmation sheet...I would call Princess just to make sure it went thru...

I have tried several times to sign up for the M&M on Harmony in January and I get the message that "only purchased reservations" can sign up. This is my 40th cruise so I know what I am doing and have never had a problem before.

 

Is there a time limit now before a cruise that you can sign up?

Are you booked thru a TA? As other's have said...make sure you are not in a group booking...the reservation # would be different from RCL's....

What is typically included in the coupon books? We will have them on our 9-18-16 sailing on the Grand Princess.

Not worried...but why waste it if there is another way....someone the RCI board had a program to download the luggage tags from the website & be able to print them 4 to a page...but it only works with Royal's tags....was hoping there might be a similar program for Princess...but if not I won't cancel the cruise over 6 pieces of paper...:p:)

How did you receive your cruise documents - electronically or as a hard copy from a TA? If it's hard copy, you should just be able to copy the page on any printer. All the cruise documents I've received in the last several years have been electronic PDF documents. If that's the same with you, if you can open the document you should be able to print it. Just hit the print button (or do "Control+P if you can't find it) and specify which page. If you can't see page numbers, scroll to the luggage tag page, then print 'current page', as many copies as you want.

 

Another way might be to save the file as a "JPEG" picture when you scan it. You can then print it as you would a photo, doing it as a 'full page' picture.

They came electronically...printing them isn't the problem...I was just trying to figure out a way to print more than 1 per page...think I will take JF-retired RRT's advice & print 2 ...cut out the center and just make color copies of those...good thing I have till Sept....:D

I always thought you needed to print them on a full sheet in order to fold them appropriately and thus create the strength they need to have. Even then' date=' I usually back them with clear packing tape to reinforce the paper.[/quote']

 

I have the clear luggage tag holders...so I don't need to fold them...will only be using the center part with my name & cabin # on it...

Does anyone know of a way to print multiple luggage tags at one time? I've tried printing one...scanning & saving it to my computer...but when I copy & paste it into a blank document it's about half size...I need 6 of them & don't really want to use 6 full sheets of paper...thanks...

Thank you! Those specials are through RCI still? I was wondering if individual travel agents have a website where they can advertise deals that they have on certain sailings? I know that agents can book lots of cabins and many times the price goes up with RCI and the agency is still holding the lower priced ones until deposits are due and then they lose them. It would be nice if there was a website where they could advertise them.

I would stick with the Aft balcony....Empress is a small enough ship the walk to your cabin will not be bad at all...and the larger balcony is a major plus! We had a side JS on Empress and it's pretty small...

Open up a RCCI Visa Card and start charging your purchases. Opening up the card gives you $100 OBC plus with every $5000 you charge on the card you can purchase $50 in OBC.

OP is in the Netherlands...not sure BOA offers the Visa card out of the US

I recently referred friends who had already booked their first Princess cruise for October & all of us qualified for the referral OBC. :)

 

I referred them however they did not initially reply to the Princess email to verify their participation. After they responded the Referral OBC was added to their reservation & my OBC was added to my Captain's Circle account to be usable after their cruise.

I refer people all the time. One $25 credit goes to the person that refers a new Princess cruiser and the other $25 goes to the person that is referred. You can refer up to 2 people per household so that would be $50 for each.

The person you refer can even be someone you share the cabin with ... with the only stipulation being they can not have sailed on Princess before.

You are also able to use several referrals per sailing if you are the one that sends out the referral. There is a limit but I think it is more than 2. I referred another 2 couples on my next sailing ... each passenger gets $25 and I get $100.

But you have to refer the people before they actually book right? I am a 1st time Princess cruiser sailing with friends who have sailed Princess before...but reading the FAQ on the website it looks like we miss out because I am already booked...:(

This used to be an issue, but Princess revamped EZ-Air to protect pricing once you book as long as you don't make any changes.

This is VERY good news to me...my 1 way return flight from San Francisco is nearly double the price it was when I booked it several months ago...

Just did a mock booking on the Princess Site & the price of air had gone up about $200...but the final balance owed has not changed on my booking...glad I booked when I did...
