  1. Royal Caribbean does.  We have had 2 scooters in our cabins for several years now.  We usual have them remove the glass coffee table.  I’m sorry, but I don’t know the policies on other lines.  We have cruised on Royal only, for the last 10+ years.

  2. Highrollers by Shugg is the best!!  We certainly made it tough on her, but she handled it all perfectly!!   We even had a “mishap” where our group got separated on flights.    My friends all made it on the original flight & met Erica at the airport.   Myself, I missed the first flight & had to be rescheduled a couple hours later.   That was complicated by the fact that I had my wheelchair.  Erica worked it out & made a special trip to return to the airport & pick me up later that day.  I was so grateful, especially after hearing that there are a lot of areas that aren’t safe in Houston.   We used them 3 times on that trip, with great timing and constant communication every single time.  I would HIGHLY recommend this service for any transportation needed.  THANK YOU ERICA & STAFF!!!  Contact her for a quote and book her before she’s booked up.   There are several new ships that will be cruising from Galveston soon, so transportation will be scarce.  Book the Best - Highrollers by Shugg ——281-755-0943

  3. We are looking over a year in advance.  There used to be a website that showed ALL available cabins, but it’s gone now.  We have been in accessible cabins for probably 10 years now.  But this is the first time we weren’t able to find ANY. But our itinerary makes it more difficult.  Unfortunately, we can’t cruise without a wheelchair.  Thanks for the tips.

  4. Has anyone found a website that will show available accessible cabins?   We are wanting to do a balcony Panama Canal cruise, sometime in the beginning of 2024.  We are usually Royal Caribbean cruisers, but we are looking at any other cruise line than Carnival.   My elderly Mother doesn’t want to try Carnival.  Even a year in advance, the accessible balcony cabins seem to be gone.  I know that travel agents grab groups of cabins, and some may show up later.  But waiting is not good for us with both of us being disabled.  Thanks for any suggestions!

  5. We are booking a cruise for next year using our 125% FCC from our cancelled cruise.  We should have about $300+ left over between our 2 cabins.  Can we use this remaining amount for anything other than towards the cruise for the people on the cancelled cruise?   Prepaid tips, beverage package, extra person in the cabin,  shore excursions, etc?   TA has mentioned doing a refundable deposit instead of non-refundable.  Seems like there should be a way to “use” it otherwise.   Thanks to everyone!

  6. DO NOT USE SeatacAirport24 for a shuttle!  I had 2 transfers booked through SeaTacAirport24, one before & one after our cruise.  Our trip is in 10 days.  I read the reviews & they were bad, so I booked with another company.  When I originally booked through Seatacairport24, I asked what their cancellation policy was.  He said if we cancel 48 hours in advance, no charge.   We called yesterday & cancelled.  They prefer cash so they didn’t have my credit card number.  I just now got an email from Paypal that there were 2 charges for $20 to SeatacAirport 24.  This is an old account that I never use. We use my husbands. Apparently, he looked up my name somehow & found my paypal info.  I just spoke with Paypal & they said they would take care of it.   I am so frustrated. The PayPal person said there are several ways they  could have charged it.

7730 should be perfect for you.

2 of the kids can share the sofa bed, and the 3rd takes the lower bunk.  Sleeping on the floor is an option. Stateroom attendant can set it up for you.

Will the stateroom attendant set up a mattress on the floor if we ask?  We have 2 big teenagers  that wouldn’t sleep comfortably together on the sofa bed. We were thinking we might need to bring an air mattress.  If the attendant can & will do that, that saves us some trouble. Thank you!

You don't owe an explanation to anyone who has posted.  (I had to bite my tongue very hard not to use the word "idiots" in that sentence. 😡)

Here is another thread that talks about the sofabed and has pictures.  It looks like I was wrong - NOT trundle-y.  That may only be Harmony and Symphony.

    Thanks Merion_Mom.  I appreciate it.

  9. Wow.  Asking a question on these boards these days is kinda like asking for a beating from some folks.   Thanks to most of you for the suggestions.  If they don’t even have Pullman beds on the Ovation, I guess I didn’t screw up.  To answer some questions, the reason I can’t sleep on the sofa bed is because I have a neuromuscular disease.  The beds are higher than sofa beds. Once I take my leg braces off to sleep, my legs aren’t strong enough for me to get up from the sofa bed.   My nephew graduated from Marine Corps basic training in October, went to infantry training, and is now at his MOS school.  Not that it matters, but he is doing a program where he does Reserves while going to College, then goes active duty as an officer after graduation.   To those who act like it’s ridiculous that they both can’t sleep together,  I know I wouldn’t have been comfortable with that at age 18.  Plus, they get along fine....but I wouldn’t say they are “close”.   So many sarcastic comments, not only about me, but others also.  I will be going on my 29th cruise soon, so I’ve been around a while.  I can see why people don’t feel comfortable asking questions here....

Again, thanks to those who helped.

  10. OK, Thanks for all of the replies.  We are sailing on the Ovation on July 26.  We both have wheelchairs.  There are no inside cabins near us,  and since we booked very early, the price for  an inside double is about what we paid for our balcony for 2.  Our niece is a VERY religious girl, of Mormon faith, & I just don’t want her to feel uncomfortable....although she is very appreciative of us taking her on her first cruise.  Our nephew is very laid back, has cruised with us before, and would be happy sleeping anywhere.  I guess I will start with explaining the situation to her, and see if I can tell if it would bother her.....because she probably wouldn’t tell me.  The mattress idea would work, as long as it  isn’t too heavy to transport in our luggage on the plane.  Thanks to all.

  11. I’m hoping someone can help with this.  We are booked in an accessible balcony stateroom (3D)  on the Ovation to Alaska in July.  Originally, it was just myself, my husband, & our niece (age 18).   Our nephew (also 18), COUSIN to our niece, is graduating from the Marine Corps Reserves.   He wants to go also.  So, I added him to our booking.  Here comes the “stupid” on my part.  When we have had 4 people, we have always had Pullman beds.  Not even thinking to check when I booked....this cabin has a sofa sleeper.   My hubby and I are both disabled so neither of us can sleep on the sofa.  Of course, these 2 opposite sex cousins can’t sleep together.  TA says no rollaways allowed in this cabin.   No other cabins are available.  Any ideas from anybody?   I thought maybe if we had a balcony lounge chair, we could bring that in & our Marine could sleep on that?   The floor???   Obviously he’s slept in much more difficult places. I’m stressing big time over this.....and I feel stupid after all the cruises I’ve been on & I make this foolish mistake.   Thanks for any suggestions.

  12. Hello!

We are going on a cruise to Alaska in July from Seattle .  Our group needs 3 mobility scooters.  I have checked around & the places that I’ve spoken with will only deliver to & pick up from hotels.... or into our cruise cabins.  We need scooters to board & disembark the ship also.   Has anyone else dealt with this?   Any suggestions or ideas please?

    Thank you!

They’re telling me that the “Fall” promotion is not compatible with the Crown & Anchor discount. I have always gotten both a promo plus C & A. Have I just gotten lucky.....or did this agent just try to pull a fast one?
