  1. I feel lucky that we got the Royal Family Suite for $6452 for 7 nights with 5 of us in September with a $200 OBC. Transferred to abTravel agent for $400 more OBC.

Booked it again for March 2017 on a 6 nighter with 7 of us for $5647. Transferred to a travel agent for $300 OBC.

Booked way early for both. Called later & they were up to $13,000 & $11,000. Of course....we will have to be looking over our shoulders for hurricanes, especially in September!!

  2. We have cruised a lot, but we haven't had a stop in Grand Cayman for quite a while. Years ago, we had to miss that port because of rough water & tendering. I believe that we only were able to go ashore twice in 5 stops. Have things changed? Some friends are planning one of their main big excursions there & I want them to be prepared if there's a good chance they won't be able to go ashore. I know it all depends on the water but.....I thought maybe tendering or anchoring had changed.

    Thanks for the help!!

  3. How would they reprice it if it's sold out? I emailed my TA. I hope she knows how to handle it. The RFS is the only cabin that can handle all of us in 1 room. We need to be together because we'll have little ones that we'll be sharing, plus we need an accessible suite.

  4. We have two upcoming cruises booked on the Freedom. One is 9/11/16 and the other is 3/26/17. We have different family members cruising with us each time and we are SOOOO lucky to have gotten the Royal Family Suite both times. On the Sept 11 cruise, there will be 5 of us, and 7 of us on the March 26 cruise. We originally booked with RCCL and then moved to a TA to get good OBC amounts, along with our Diamond Plus discount. When we originally booked, we got 50% off 2nd passenger and 20% off remaining passengers. The RFS Category has been sold out since shortly after we booked. If none are remaining, can the TA still get the rate changed to the 60/30 promo? And....if so, how will they refund the difference? One cruise is paid in full. The other is not.

    Thanks for the help!!!!!

  5. We have a 10 passenger van with a wheelchair lift & hand controls. I believe we would qualify for free parking at the port. This trip we will be towing an 8' uhaul because we will have 10 people plus two wheelchairs & luggage. Does anyone know if we can still get the free parking with the uhaul? Thank you!!!

  6. Is there any way around the 5+ people in a family or 2 bedroom suite? We are looking at the Explorer or Radiance to Alaska in 2017. We have 4 people going, and I am handicapped & our Mom is elderly with health issues. It would be a huge help to have us all in one room. Can you book for 5 then remove the last person before final payment? Or be a "no show" at check in? Not trying to be immoral or "cheat" but trying to work out what's best for us in this situation. There aren't too many, if any, accessible cabins connecting.

    Thank you!!!

  7. I just booked assuming we would get the OBC. It didn't show so I called. She said if you book with resident or senior rate, you don't get the OBC. She took off the resident discount....and the price jumped up $1250. I feel like it's kind of unfair with them promoting the OBC like that. We'll stick with the cheaper rate

  8. We were booked on this sailing also. This morning was HECTIC trying to get things changed around. We couldn't reach our TA, so I first called the C & A desk (we are Diamond +). The CSR tells me that since we are booked in a D6 now, and there are no D6's or below on the Oasis sailing we chose (2-1-14), we would have to pay the difference between the D6 & whatever balcony cabin is available. She was very rude, and I was already upset about the cancellation. I told her this is a whole different sailing & ship. How can we pay the difference? PLUS the fact that they were the ones that cancelled it. We should get at least an equal cabin, I'd think. While I was on hold, my Mom said our TA just called her & had called RCCL & gotten us moved to a higher category, but same type of cabin. We have to move from Deck 12 down to Deck 7....but at least we're on the cruise!!! I'm glad RCCL is fixing the ship but...the CSR's should know we're all worked up & be more helpful!! That's my complaint! Luckily....we have NOT booked flights first!!!!!
