Checked in last night. The system really didn't want to accept my passport info 😕 Remembered reading here that I could save my progress and go back in later, and it worked 😄

Update: Found mention of a specific PVP on here in a different thread. Emailed them asking about the upgrade offer and keeping our OBC. They called me back, confirmed that we DO get to keep the $200 OBC and upgraded us to a balcony on deck 7 😄 Super excited about the cruise, the awesome room & location, and having a great new PVP 😎

I did find this link when my upgrade page timed out: https://www.carnival.com/PostBookingSales/Index Might be handy for anyone looking to upgrade but hasn't received an offer

Yes it does. I got the email to upgrade from an interior to balcony for $150 in a couple weeks. We snapped it up! All the on board credit stayed the same. FYI tho-all of our purchases like cheers and on board credit we’d prepurchased disappeared from the reservation after I accepted the offer but reappeared a few hours later.
posted my reply twice and I can't delete it... move on 😉

In my link there was a “suggested” room to start but when I actually clicked into it it allowed me to choose the room.
Yeah, I was worried about playing with it, but found that I could even change decks and areas of the ship without worry. Waiting to see if we can get an email inquiry returned with answers from a PVP before calling - I prefer to have things in writing and don't want to lose our OBC changing from a great room to a greater?? room...

Good to know 😄 Took a closer look at the room they're offering and it's right over a night club 😕 have an email into a PVP hoping they can help us find a better location. If so we are upgrading! 😎 (Getting us to move from an awesome 4J... gotta make it worth it 😉 )

Just checked again, we are 15 days out, and they are offering an even better deal! Instead of an extra $360 to upgrade from a coveted 4J to a balcony, its now $180... Gonna have to call and see if we get to keep the OBC from the original booking promotion if we upgrade 😎

Good to know, thank you, we are on the Pride November 28th, one thing we always do in Cozumel, sounds crazy to some I suppose, is walk to the MEGA Store.
I LOVE to visit the MX Megas and Walmarts 😁

I just got an offer to pay for an upgrade. I sail Sunday on Legend. I had an inside and when I went into my cruise planner on Carnival yesterday there was an offer to pay $210 to upgrade to an extended balcony. I purchased the upgrade. Now I need to print new boarding passes and luggage tags. 😁
our offer was $360 to upgrade from a 4J to a balcony... not much of a "great deal"

comparing Cheers to buying a bottle to be delivered to the delivered to the room... never thought of THAT equation and it's definitely one to consider! And unless you're drinking a bottle every 2 days buying bottles is probably the better deal (bottom line). Not as convenience, but better for the bottom line 😉

I was thinking the same thing Sue Goodreds; I'm sailing out of Miami in November and didn't get that email either 😕

Our cruise had an itinerary change from Grand Turk to Nassau. Not super excited, but SUPER excited to cruise again 😄 Anyone know if we will be refunded the difference in port fees? Looks to be about $75ish difference (based on a mock booking today looking at the "taxes, port fees..." line). Or maybe I'm reading that incorrectly and someone else has a better idea?

Which ship is that? We're on the Freedom 12/4 sailing and are also scheduled for Grand Turk (on 12/10) and it's still showing us going there. Grand Turk might or might not be open by then, so I won't be surprised if either one happens.
Freedom sailing 11/27. Have they ever changed ports then changed them back?

We were just notified that our post-Thanksgiving cruise that supposed to go to Grand Turk 😄 was changed to Nassau 😣 No option of changing/canceling our cruise (wouldn't anyways) nor any OBC. We'll be fine but chose that itinerary because it didn't go to the Bahamas at all 😕 It'll still be a great cruise 😎

Just a thought: if you are a fan of tequila, there is a place south of PV in Mismaloya, MX called Mr. Tequila that is fun, informative, AND super tasty! Sure wish they shipped to Washington state as our bottles have run dry 😉 The zoo there is super amazing too!!

I've been wondering too! We are on there just after Thanksgiving and not getting to read new reviews and watch new videos is killing me!
-
Any luck with this yet??? I'm assuming "no" but still hoping we can do this on our Nov cruise as it's such a great experience 🤞
-
I emailed them to ask for my final payment extension to avoid just such a fate. Worked out wonderfully easily 😄
-
Our November cruise is closed to new bookings so no price drop available 😝 but there are some pretty good deals on other cruises too! Almost (drunk) booked a 6 day on the Breeze (bigger ship than I'd normally prefer - but it was a cove!) but lucky for me the site only gave me a white screen of nothing when I tried to finalize it 😉

I was told by the Cruise Director on the Miracle last week that Behind the Fun tours have been discontinued for the time being.
I figured, but was hoping 😔
Thanks for the heads up

Are the Behind the Fun tours happening right now?

Pretty much everything? That doesn't mean I don't love some of the food, but most of it can be hit or miss any day, and the buffet is mostly miss, imo. The huevos rancheros is actually the one thing I like better than at home.
Of course it has been a long time since my last carnival cruise, and NCL wasnt good other than the final night.
I LOVE the huevos rancheros from Blue Iguana (and the MDR)!!

Rum works also
I bet tequila would be tasty too, like a watermelon margarita 😉

We have a cruise scheduled for the end of November. Emailed them and asked for a final payment date extension and they pushed it back a month 🙂

Cozumel - can you get off ship and walk about on own?

it's just their version of Walmart, but I love wandering the aisles of both in MX as they have a lot of different things compared to the Walmarts near my home
