I tried searching on both Google and YouTube, but couldn't find anything useful (plenty of videos that include the sounds, but I really don't want to have to put THAT much effort into it). I remember John Held mentioning that Carnival was going to make some available some time ago, but I never saw a post about them being available

I searched but could only find threads from several years ago, nothing recent... does anyone have copies of the various sounds from the Carnival ships that can be used as ringtones, notifications, etc.? I'm hoping most for either the ping (as you are entering the ship) or the PA tones before announcements.

Great suggestions above! I'd like to add:

1: get a "drink of the day" while sitting by the pool people watching. I'm not much of a drinker, but these are sweet and tasty and fairly strong

2: tour the spa. You may be asked to "model" a service for them which equals free spa treatment. You might also skip this as it can eat up your first day...

3: eat in the dinning room at least once for each meal during the cruise (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

a: If you're bringing children, there is a kid's menu, but you have to ask for it. They/you can also mix and match from both menus.

yes, they work like other gift cards where you choose how much to put on them. You can then use them to pay your balance or load them onto your account/S&S card and use like OBC

I like to bring a basket with suction cups for the shower. It's not a must have (I've forgotten it more times than remembered to bring it), but it's nice to have

Another idea I've heard of is to book 2 connecting oceanview rooms. Might save a few $$ too. Won't solve your tub problem though; maybe bring a blow-up one?

If it were me, I'd choose to dine at a table with lots of "new friends" instead of a table for one, not sure if you can do this with ATD. (I choose this same option when traveling with just my daughter too; I love hearing of my new friends' adventures)

Oh I can't wait!!! I've been reading about the burgers and burritos for a few weeks now and even dreamed about them 3 nights ago. Whelp, just 5 more days and I'll be trying them for myself - finally! You guys are really upping my excitement :-D

I see the change too. It's terrible; don't like any of the changes to the booking process they've made recently. Guess that solidifies me using other sites to book my Carnival cruise as I can still choose my cabin on those (plus earn rewards and OBC)

I recently read that Carnival passengers can tour the Queen Mary for free before leaving on a cruise out of Long Beach. True? And if so, how do you go about it? Can I check in then leave to go see her? Can I board my ship, put my bags in our room, leave the ship to go tour as long as we make it back before sail away? How did you do it and what did you think?
