So, I've spent 2.15 days in Bucharest, "down the memory line".

For many years I've wanted to go back, to fulfill my promise to my mom, to lay a flower on her parents' grave, since she was too old to travel.

Dani, I'm happy you were able to fulfill your promise to your mom, sharing the experience with your son.

Good for you. Mystic was the favorite right?

The favorite was Fierceness, who finished 15th.  To be honest, I didn't even look at the entire list of horses, I just saw one named Dan and I didn't even know what the odds were.  🤪  If I hadn't seen one with my son's name, I would not have bet.

Marcel is definitely loving that. We have a cat that loves to have the insides of her ears rubbed. I’ve never had a cat that liked that so I thought maybe she had ear mites. Nope, she just likes her ears rubbed. In fact, she will start to drool when Mike gets a little inside her ear. Eew!

Marcel is quite the drooler, then he’ll shake his head and get it all over you. His ears get a lot of gunk in them, so that’s probably why rubbing his ears feels good to him. Andy cradles him like a baby and I wipe the gunk out of his ears. He seems grateful when it’s done.

Is there a song that stands out to you? The only song I've heard on it is "Ioml". I can't get past it as I find it a bit haunting. I've never before heard a song of her's that I've wanted to learn to play and sing.😲

I was surprised to see you can buy the sheet music for that song already.  https://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtd.asp?ppn=MN0288217

I visited the garden yesterday.  The plants are looking great!  The tomatoes are already reaching the cattle panels.

I have a few in grow bags. This one is almost 3 foot tall. I will soon need to add a 6 ft pole to support it.

Rain forecast for later.   Tomorrow 86⁰.  Good start to growing season.

I enjoy seeing pictures of your garden.  I remember you had a lot of garlic plants, too.  I have a "garden" this year, consisting of one plant that produces genetically modified purple tomatoes.  Our son got a few seeds and shared one of his plants with me a couple days ago.  I'm growing it in our screened porch that gets lots of sunlight.  I don't want to put the plant outdoors because I think the pesky masked bandits (raccoons) would eat them.

@derorim I have a cactus that was grown from a slip of one that my Grandmother had in her house over 60 years ago.

It is on an opposite schedule than your plant.

Just one or two blooms at Christmas, but more blooms in April.Could be an Easter Cactus!

Do you feed your cactus anything?

I have given my plant the Miracle Grow fertilizer sticks-when I remember to do so.

I think it has survived through my benign neglect.

There are buds on the plant now. Hoping for some flowers soon!

    MJ🙋🏻‍♀️

You must truly have an Easter Cactus.  I never fertilize my plants, mostly out of pure laziness.  They usually somehow thrive in spite of me (your benign neglect theory).

  7. I have a Christmas cactus that blooms profusely around the beginning of December every year.  To my surprise, it also sent out a single bud this month and it just opened.  The sun coming through the window lit it up in a magical way. Maybe it was just saying hi and sending good wishes to everyone on this thread who needs a lift.

Today I drove for one of my few remaining babysitter for Zoey as my daughter and son in law will be relocating to a new city.
Brandon was accepted as the new assistant strength and conditioning coach at ………..(to be shared soon) as he makes the official announcement.

Let’s just say it will make my travels much shorter 😁

A shorter distance between you and Zoey sounds wonderful!

Also, the cookie table looks impressive.  I like the way the tables were arranged in the form of a cross.

  9. My bourbon collection is for the benefit of my DS2, who lives 4 minutes away.  Today when I was buying Vodka I stumbled upon this Elijah Craig that was part of a "limited availability" drop.  He said it was a good find, so I bought it. I put it with the other bourbons I have in my cabinet, but he said he'll buy this one from me so he can have it at his house to drink with his bourbon buddies.  Can't blame him!

My friend in Texas is downsizing and sent me this mixer.  She knew we would appreciate it and be able to use it in our display of old tools.
