Ok, below is the reply box. the insert pic button is at the top center.
I hope this helps
Wow, my reply screen doesn't have all that fancy stuff on top. My guess is that I'm using my work computer and we tend to use older Microsoft Operating systems so that might have something to do with it.
I'll try it from home and see what it does and I just got the TapaTalk app yesterday so I'll do a test from there.
Thanks!!

Many children.
Is that supposed to be good or bad? [emoji6].

The D3 (Superior Balcony) would be slightly larger than the E1 (Deluxe Balcony).
177sq ft. vs. 198 sq ft.
I personally would go with the D3 for the little bit of extra room. However, if the pricing is significant I would definitely consider the E1.

If your question is related to lunch, I would recommend Park Café as soon as you board (it gets crazy there!).
If you are alsotrying to decide what to do for dinner as well and are thinking of a specialty restaurant I would make a reservations when you board vs. online ahead of time. They almost always hold back spots for those that book on board so it's very likely you'll get a reservation earlier than 7pm without a problem.

I am indeed using the web based version on my laptop, but I don't seem to have the insert image button (looks like a mountain). I did all that you said above up until the button that I am missing. I tried to just past in the link but that obviously didn't work.
Any idea why I wouldn't have that button?

test
Darn...it didn't work. Anyone have any updates on how to post from Shutterfly?

I do wish you and everyone else affected stay safe, and that all you have are "cool hurricane stories" (no scarcasm intended). I just can't help but think of those less fortunate on the islands that truly had no where to evacuate to.
-
I still can't figure out why so many people want to stay and wait out this storm. It really serves no purpose other to say that you did it. If only we had days notification out here in California to evacuate when we are about to be hit by a catastrophic earthquake!
-
John, I think you should listen to Laura and get in the car and head to Orlando. How close are you to the beach?
It has been many moons since I was in a Hurricane in Miami. Actually we had 3 while I lived there. We lived near MIA so not in flood danger. Would not want to have been on Miami Beach.
Be smart, be safe, head west.
Grace
Completely agree....please rethink your decision to stay put and respect the mandatory evacuation. One thing to consider is that IF something were to happen those that stay and risk it are also putting the lives of first responders at risk too. That isn't fair to them or their families.

The petition now has 76 signatures and 261 views. I'm still not sure if that is a typical conversion ratio.
FWIW, the three ships available for Spring 2017 Mexico voyages charge more than Royals ships in Galveston, San Juan and Tampa for the same week.
Below are prices for an inside cabin, first week of March 2017
LA - Carnival Miracle $698
LA - Ruby Princess $659
LA - NCL Jewel $786 (6 nights)
TX - Liberty of the Seas $563
SJ - Jewel of the Seas $689
Tampa - Rhapsody $610
SJ - Adventure $786
I was surprised that Adventure was more expensive than Jewel
I like your investigative work! I am betting that RCCL has looked at this thread at least once (based on another thread that is ongoing now ;) ). Lets hope that this keeps the "bug" in their ear.

Actually, I bet they just go to Cozumel. There wouldn't be enough time to make it to St. Thomas or St. Maarten and back. You'd need an extra day because I think it's 2 days to get there. Cozumel would be just 1 sea day on either end and would be out of the path completely based on current models.
-
Since they weren't scheduled to be in Labadee originally, did anyone check/post if another ship was there? Can you imagine Labadee is Oasis and Allure were there? (don't know if they can use the inside part of the pier or not. Or even Allure and Freedom there teh same time? They could sell the cabanas for $1000 ;)
Oh my....that would be nuts! Labadee is crazy enough with just one of those ships, if there were two of them it would be standing room only on the beach and in the water. ;)
-
Based on the current projections and timing I agree you definitely will not be visiting the Bahamas next week! However, there is plenty of time to sail either West or East around this storm. My guess is that they will take you to either Cozumel or to the East visiting St. Thomas or St. Maarten.
I can pretty much guarantee they won't be taking you to the Gulk and just having you sit in port. There are many options and they have to take you to a foreign port if at all possible.
-
Other than the new slides and Giovanni's being Jamie's Italian Kitchen (plus a few other minor things) I wouldn't expect the reviews to be any different than Allure and Oasis. With that said, I think we will see a lot of them and will get people more excited to sail her.

Bump...found this way back on page 3.
-
Bob, Will you post a small review of your Pac Coastal cruise when you return? I'd love to hear what you think. Is this your first cruise on that type of itinerary?
-
I can understand the nerves, but please know that the captain will make sure the ship stays out of the storm's path. The nice thing about the Caribbean cruises is there are so many more options for navigating vs. say sailings out of NJ and are basically stuck along the eastern seaboard.;)
It is possible you could be delayed leaving Port Everglades if the ship isn't able to come in on time (basically has to follow behind the storm). I know that has happened a few times, where a sailing had an extra day and so the next sailing lost a day.

I agree with the previous poster that we really need to email RCCL (Michael Bayley) to have any chance of making a difference. Oh, and they are in the midst of working on 2018 schedules so time is of the essence!
Here are points I think I'll include:
- People are moving to other lines
- The limited 1 or 2 sailings in late Sept are SELLING OUT (yes, the demand is there)
- We would be VERY happy with just a limited seasonal schedule as I outlined previously
- They don't have to do a full repo of a ship to do a limited 1 or 2 month season, so it really don't cost much more.
Any others????
Would anyone like to post a good email address that we could send our pleadings to?
-
As requested here a repost of the link:

Bumping this back up to keep it alive!
Ok, I see that one of my favs Explorer of the Seas is in the midst of Pacific Coastal and there is 1 more next week. Guess what.....SOLD OUT! As stated by another poster, the Jewel also SOLD OUT on her Pacific Coastal last year. See a trend here???
Come on RCCL (Michael Bayley)....there is demand not just the "2 people" that you stated last week on Allure last week.
We realize that putting a ship here full time doesn't make good business sense, but giving us a month on each end of an Alaskan run does! I for one though, would like Mexican Riviera added back into the mix. Just saying :p
What about everyone else? What are your thoughts on the seasonal 2 month per year type of run?
-
Oh how I wish that was a more common site...and what a beautiful day in the city it is! So happy those passengers got to explore one of the most beautiful cities on such a day.
-
Agree...ignore them. Everyone will find things to complain about but they are all minor in the grand scheme of things. Oasis is a fantastic ship and you will have a great time!
-
You said it perfectly...what do you have to lose? Go for it and enjoy! I personally love the big ships at this point in my life but can see the draw for the smaller ships for many. Just be prepared for the cabins to be very small.
How to post pictures ??
