Thank you for taking us along. The photos of Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona are wonderful and emotional. I was there when I was 8 or 9 years old and remember being on the memorial but I need to return to experience it as an adult. I also would like to take my kids there for them to experience it as well. Especially for my son (12) who is intrigued by everything military. It would be a good lesson for him to see in person what war really does.

Beautiful photos! Really, so great...and I agree with the other poster that said they would look great on canvas.
We are headed back to Hawaii this summer and will be going to Kauai and Maui, but this photo tour is almost making me rethink this and should go to Oahu instead of one of the others. I've been to Oahu a couple of times years ago, but never ventured out far enough to get a full island tour as you did yesterday. Just beautiful!

The suspect is a local bailiff!
Yes that's what I read too.

So very tragic. Thoughts are with her family and fellow crew members.
This is a good lesson for all of us....when travelling it's ALWAYS a good idea to have a travel buddy when venturing out. A friend of mine just the other day was telling me how she and a friend of hers went to Cancun for a few days she took a taxi back to the airport by herself at night. She had a momentary panic of "wow, I don't know this taxi driver and I'm a female all alone. Anything could have happened." Of course, she said he was very nice and chatty but it is something to think about when travelling alone.

Now if we can only get them send us a ship back here to California....
If we keep asking for it just like you did for NOLA, we just might get it one of these days!

I think I just saw a video on FB of the "big group" you were speaking of. Holy moly! You made the right choice in going on Allure!

Now I'm curious, what is the group on Oasis taking is "taking over" the ship? I tried to Google it but couldn't' find anything.

I have thoroughly enjoy your review so far and I am sad to hear it's coming to an end. Can you drag out the last instalment, I need the distraction.
Lol, I need the distraction too! Maybe another week of wrap up/conclusions :p?

Oh the suspense!! More pretty please:cool:

On Allure I questioned the authenticity of their scanning process. I would always ask for and return multiple towels at a time for my family. Sometimes I would see them punch in a number while scanning and sometimes not.

OMG, Fabulous job Chase!! You have an amazing the talent and you and your wife are too cute:).

Love, Love, Loving your review :hearteyes::hearteyes:! You crack me up with your witty sense of humor and I am totally going to use your MMM Method for future cruise and land based vacations. In fact, last week we were in Las Vegas at the Bellagio and the chair hogs were out in full force there too. It didn't help that one of the days they had one of the huge pool areas blocked off all day to set up for a corporate function that evening. It created quite the mess at the other pool that was open, and so many people came out early to save chairs. I did witness at least a couple of towels being removed.

Awesome job! You have a great sense of humor and from what I can tell love of life! It's been fun following you along on your adventure and am looking forward to the next. I'm sure Miss Right is waiting for you on one of these ships :D.

I'm not sure when it went up but it was still $25 in August. I've done it twice and I wouldn't pay $30 for it. The last time it was one of the free perks from our TA.

Agree, I'd go with Royal! My kids are 9 & 12 and they love all that the bigger ships have to offer. If your kids like to "get out there" and do stuff this is definitely going to be the better choice. This is where Royal beats everyone hands down.
As for dining, no the food isn't top notch but we aren't there for the food anyway. As long as I don't have to cook or clean up I'm a happy cruiser. I'd suggest booking some of the specialty restaurants for dinners that are 1-2 steps above the main dining room.

Andrew, Add me to the list of those that really appreciate the time you have put into this review. I've loved all the photos and commentaries along the way. September seems so far off but I'll be there waiting to "join" you on that adventure as well.

And this in the summer.
My SIL calls it the storm trooper.

Haha...it does resemble like a storm trooper. Love that comparison!

Wow, gorgeous photos! Are those straight from the camera or was coloring enhanced at all? Doesn't really make a difference to me either way....I'm just curious.

Why are there no photos of Chicken McNuggets or Double Quarter Pounders with Cheese in this thread?
Because Dr. Ho is monitoring this board...specifically you two! :)

I'm a CPA so Captain Tax is my partner in crime in the crusade to drink as much as possible to forget what I do for a living.

Makes perfect sense now, thanks! I have to say....The fact that you get to cruise during the height of tax season is quite admirable!!:p

Wow, what a gorgeous day to be at sea!! Hope you didn't pay the price too much this morning for yesterday's Labadee fun.
Somewhere along the line I missed the story of Captain Tax. Can you refresh my memory, and I'm sure a few others as well?

It may not be a deal but at least there isn't sales tax!
