  1. Thank you for taking us along. The photos of Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona are wonderful and emotional. I was there when I was 8 or 9 years old and remember being on the memorial but I need to return to experience it as an adult. I also would like to take my kids there for them to experience it as well. Especially for my son (12) who is intrigued by everything military. It would be a good lesson for him to see in person what war really does.

  2. Beautiful photos! Really, so great...and I agree with the other poster that said they would look great on canvas.

We are headed back to Hawaii this summer and will be going to Kauai and Maui, but this photo tour is almost making me rethink this and should go to Oahu instead of one of the others. I've been to Oahu a couple of times years ago, but never ventured out far enough to get a full island tour as you did yesterday. Just beautiful!

  3. So very tragic. Thoughts are with her family and fellow crew members.

This is a good lesson for all of us....when travelling it's ALWAYS a good idea to have a travel buddy when venturing out. A friend of mine just the other day was telling me how she and a friend of hers went to Cancun for a few days she took a taxi back to the airport by herself at night. She had a momentary panic of "wow, I don't know this taxi driver and I'm a female all alone. Anything could have happened." Of course, she said he was very nice and chatty but it is something to think about when travelling alone.

  4. Love, Love, Loving your review :hearteyes::hearteyes:! You crack me up with your witty sense of humor and I am totally going to use your MMM Method for future cruise and land based vacations. In fact, last week we were in Las Vegas at the Bellagio and the chair hogs were out in full force there too. It didn't help that one of the days they had one of the huge pool areas blocked off all day to set up for a corporate function that evening. It created quite the mess at the other pool that was open, and so many people came out early to save chairs. I did witness at least a couple of towels being removed.

  5. Agree, I'd go with Royal! My kids are 9 & 12 and they love all that the bigger ships have to offer. If your kids like to "get out there" and do stuff this is definitely going to be the better choice. This is where Royal beats everyone hands down.

As for dining, no the food isn't top notch but we aren't there for the food anyway. As long as I don't have to cook or clean up I'm a happy cruiser. I'd suggest booking some of the specialty restaurants for dinners that are 1-2 steps above the main dining room.
