  1. We did the BOGO last month on Allure. The first day we went up to the specialty dining kiosk they had setup just outside Guest Services so I could ask what restaurants they assigned us and the times. We were told that each ship does it a bit different but on Allure they only book Giovanni’s and Samba. I didn’t want Samba so I asked if they would change to either Izumi Hibachi or Chops. They wouldn’t allow Izumi (I figured as much. It thought I’d try anyway), but after they went to check with a manager they agreed to Chops.

It was definite a good deal in my opinion so I wouldn’t hesitate to book BOGO again. However, I was a bit annoyed because we also received a letter in our stateroom in day 1 saying that since we were MTD they were offering 1/2 off day 1 and 2 at the specialty restaurants. There weren’t any exclusions that they noted so I guess we could have done Hibachi with that if I hadn’t already bought the BOGO.

  2. Thank you for entertaining us all week long. It’s helped me with the notorious PCD!

What did you think of dinner in the WJ last night? We are there our last night as well, and was less than impressed. I think some nights may be better than others so maybe that was just one of those nights where the menu didn’t fancy us at all. I noticed that you didn’t eat in the MDR at all, and come to think of it I can’t remember you not eating there in recent cruises either. Is it just your your family’s thing?

  3. As blatantly obvious as most of this sign is, is it me, or is there something suspiciously hidden (and adult) about this hOuse sign?:o

OMG, yes I didn’t even notice that, but after a closer look I would say that there is a hidden message of sorts.

Would love to see what these peeps looks like!

Andrew, perhaps if you run into them ask if they are willing for a shot next to their “clever” sign for CC posting. Inquiring minds want to know! Lol

  4. Curious...were you ever able to find any outlets hidden under the bed? I remembered seeing that before on CC but when I looked 2 weeks ago I couldn't find any, but perhaps I just didn't look hard enough. Hopefully Harmony and Symphony has more outlets, or at least USB plug ins.

How did you like Mamma Mia? I believe you said that Owen made it til intermission...does that mean that you all left then too?

  5. Nice wipeout in the back ground.

Don't see much of a line yet.

Lol that wipeout is the 2nd thing (Owen’s huge smile was the first) I noticed in that pic as well! That’s the shortest that line will be all week.

As for Owen’s huge grin...I can only imagine him thinking to himself “yep, my parents are suckers and I have them whipped.” [emoji23]🤣[emoji23]

I say that all in good fun, of course!

  6. Glad you made it on board so smoothly. Two weeks ago we took our time and got to the pier around noon. Normally we are there by 10:45 as we are biting our nails to get on board ASAP. We had expedited boarding which was quick and efficient, and found it to not be super crowded at that time either.

Enjoy and I’m looking forward to to seeing what the week ahead brings!

  7. I found and booked it from Island Marketing Ltd.,which is a reputable 3rd party excursion broker. I booked it the day before but I wouldn’t recommend doing that since I think word is going to get out (it’s a pretty new excursion) and they will probably start to book up sooner.

Unfortunately the day we were in Cozumel there was virtually no wind so we didn’t get to put up the sails but we putted along the coast had two snorkel stops with our own private guide. So worth it!

  8. I forgot I had one small request/comment....When we were on last week the whole week went by and I still have no idea who the captain is. I know I can look it up on the "Current Captains" list here on CC but I found it very odd that I never ever saw a Captains Welcome/Reception being held on either formal night. I never even saw the typical list they provide with the Compass the first night or two that provides the bio of the Captain and all the officers on board. Maybe they don't do either of those anymore? Not sure...but it seemed strange not to at least have the Captains Reception.

Anyway, Can you please let us know if there is indeed a Captains Welcome/Reception on your sailing, or if they provide that list of officers?

  9. WhooHoo...Another A&L report.

We just got off Allure on this same itinerary on Sunday. I can vouch that you will definitely need that Imodium, LOL. Thankfully, I didn't need it till departure morning but I'm still not completely right. :o

Anyways....Stay away from Bananarama on Roatan. While the beach itself is beautiful it was WAY to packed to enjoy. I was looking forward to that stop the most but we only stayed there for an hour because it was too crazy and just not relaxing at all. There were so many people on the beach, and boats, jetskis and vendors selling everything from bracelets to tours non-stop. Just not enjoyable at all. I think there are better places up the beach. We did go to the sloth/monkey sanctuary and loved that as well our 2 kids (11 & 13). That was probably the highlight of the trip as we all got to hold the sloth and the monkeys hopped on top of our heads while eating sunflower seeds.

If you want any recommendations for the ports on things to do, let me know. In Cozumel we did a private sailing/snorkeling charter on a 45ft sailboat that was amazing. They only take max 10 people but we were the only ones booked so we had it to ourselves and the price was cheap! Definitely the way to go over the huge crowds on the ship booked excursion.

Have an amazing time...even in your D5 ;).
