  1. We Googled "Lei Greetings" at Honolulu International Airport and you should see many choices for obtaining lei. What a nice idea, and we certainly hope it works out for you!
  2. How are you doing and how is your side of the world?
  3. OK, but it is a different world up here. What has not lessened is the feeling of disbelief.
  4. Just curious what will draw the guests returning so soon?
  5. BermudaBound2014 - Sorry for the delay in responding. It has been an unreal time, but we are fine and our home has done pretty well. An emergency evacuation was ordered for our area if we felt we should go, but we elected to stay. Water is still being air dropped in an area above us, but the smoke has lessened. Our electricity, telephone, internet and such were all out at the same time and the wind gusted to 80 mph. That was fun. We had no communication with the outside world until just a while ago. All of this pales in comparison to Lahaina, There are no words...
  6. It sounds like this would make for a very tiring and long day. How many hours did it take you to do all this?
  7. Curious which Regent ship caught your interest.?
  8. Dom Perignon is $199 per bottle and Veuve Clicquot is $69 on the list of Regent Bon Voyage gifts, so it looks like it is still on board. Veuve Clicquot is the welcome champagne for the upper suites and we believe Monopole Blue Top welcomes guests in categories F through H. Please correct us if we are wrong.
  9. We have read that while the Maui Seaside Hotel rents overnight parking spaces they do not rent cars. That would be between you and turo.com.
  10. To be honest, we live Upcountry and are perhaps not as current with everything beach-wise as other contributors here. Hopefully, they will chime in and give you more specific information. Enjoy!
  11. First of all, will you be tendering into Lahaina or docking at Kahului? If you will be docking at Kahului, figure about an hour's drive from there to Lahaina, and whatever Uber will charge for that. If you tender into Lahaina, it is less than four miles from Kaanapali Beach, but you should have some idea of where you want to go there since it is three miles long. We believe Snorkel Bob and several other companies will rent gear online.
  12. You have indicated a date from last year. You do mean 2023, don't you?
  13. Remember that the POA also stays in Kahului overnight on Sunday night, so you can do your Lahaina visit Sunday and not have to worry about when you get back to the ship.
  14. If you check the website "Taxi Fare Finder" and ask to go from Kahului Airport to Kahului Harbor, it shows a cost of $13,79 plus tip. In checking two other websites, the quotes were $13-$17. Hope this helps!
  15. You are correct. The POA docks in Kahului on Maui. It does not go to Lanai.
  16. Just curious and with all due respect, we wonder if you have done this type of seating before? If you haven't, keep in mind that it will be quite difficult to make conversation with so many people seated so close together. Also, serving that many in your party at the same time may be too big a press for the staff and take a toll on service.
  17. Yes - nicely done and we enjoy Regent, but we did not pay anywhere near $5,000 per night for a Grand Suite.
  18. It appears that Regent may have added the July 22, 2024 cruise to its inaugural season for the Grandeur, and non-refundable cancellation penalties are rather stiff then (we believe around 25% for a Grand Suite). One interesting thing is that the season should end about July 1st, so your cruise is not in the inaugural season window (but maybe they extended it).
  19. Aloha dumbth: Have you given thought to sailing the South Pacific on the Aranui 5?
  20. Try nps.gov haleakala for that information - and/or local tour companies.
