This is kind of a no brainier. Wild fish were not meant to eat our highly processed sugary cereals. Lots of snorkel tours will throw out chips, crackers, etc and it is not good for the fish, though they do go crazy for it.
It's not good for people either but they do go crazy for it too.

I think when a cruise sells out Carnival pulls it off their site. Is there somewhere you can look that shows the sold out cruises too?
-
We've don like 8 Carnival cruises and not been on any other lines. After reading about all the Carnival cutback complaints we decided we'd maybe try something else. Found a NCL cruise we might like but decided to monitor the NCL boards for a while before booking. I'm glad I did. Seems that NCL cutbacks might make Carnival look like they aren't cutting back at all. Looks like NCL is even charging for room service now. Guess I'll stay with my old friend Carnival. :)

"... only the new cabins have fridges ..." must not be true.
Our cabin was on deck 7 (not a new cabin) and we had a fridge. This was in March 2014.
-
Can't speak to all the cabins but our ocean suite had the regular mini fridge with all the stuffin's.

Well, if you turn the couch around then the kid will fall off the wrong side of the bed. We've all probably done that at one time or another. :D
-
$25???? That's expensive. I get notary here in NYC for as little as $5!
I guess California even makes the NYC cost of living look cheap. :D

I think Notawordok was talking about a permission form from DCL (Disney Cruise Line). I've never heard of a permission form from CCL.
-
When is "final payment"?
-
Maybe longer than you think.
One could walk into the kid's cabin at sail away and find one's 18 year old 6'4" son standing on a chair on the balcony.
This could be a kid that is supposed to have normal intelligence.
Don't ask me how I know.
The words "kid", "18 year old" and "normal intelligence" can never be used in the same sentence. I think it's one of the rules of English grammar.
-
Can anybody reference any instance where a passenger fell overboard while NOT doing something stupid or unauthorized?
-
Yes they do, they are very safe for all ages. We travel in balconies with kids all the time. Balconies as well as cabin doors are quite difficult to open. The OP must have a super strong child!
If bungee cords, sideways strollers or door stops don't work, try a good old fashioned spanking.
But that would have a negative impact on the child's "self esteem". ;)

Any tio on the receipt whether the regular or additional is shared. Cash however is not shared.
If you want a particular bartender to get the entire tip, cross the tip out and tip in cash.
Just curious, how do you know this?
Most who talk to bartenders seem to report that the specific bartender gets the tip. I can't imagine why a number of bartenders would report they get the tip if it wasn't true.

Why do so many folks take it personal when someone posts that they don't like the Sunshine? It's almost like you told them they have an ugly baby.
-
Perhaps it's a good time to think about what you would do if you happened to witness someone going over the side.
-
Every receipt I ever got on a Carnival ship had a blank space for an additional tip regardless of weather or not the tip was included in the price of the product or service. I think even the gift shop receipts have a place to add an additional tip.
-
You're hearing from several folks who have actually eaten at the Chef's table on numerous occasions. I would consider that reputable. If you just have to see it on Carnival's web site then you should look there instead of here.

Just marketing. At least they haven't started wearing out the term "organic" yet. Give them time. And I love the way some companies go on about "all natural". Uranium and lead are "all natural" but I don't want them in my food. :)
-
Tip is included in the $75 charge but I always tip it up to $100 per person. I'm just an over tipper I suppose but I bet the extra $25 means a lot more to the wait staff than it does to me.
-
Like most things, I bet the devil's in the details. I'm sure there is a link on the offer to somewhere where the specific terms are stated and I bet there is a deadline in the terms and conditions that not in the headlines.

According to USA Today, Triumph going to NOLA to replace the Elation and Elation going to Jacksonville. Don't remember when but think they said before the end of the year.

If the politicians tax the tourists they don't have to worry about how they will vote in the next election. That's why hotel/motel, rental cars and other such tourist only services are taxed so heavily. It's true everywhere, not just Texas. However, Texas does have some really strange alcohol laws.
-
Yeah, a lot of places have some strange laws. Last time I went fishing in NW Ontario I found out you can only have one line in the water for each licensed fisherman in the boat. In the states there's no such limit I've ever run into.
Elation 10 Day to Jaxport
in Carnival Cruise Lines

We did B2B 7 days (14 days total) on the Splendor and when we were done we were really ready to get off the ship. I think about 7 days is our max for any class of ship in the future.
