That is true only if the apple watch has a cellular connection. Many, including mine do not.

This question was beaten to death recently. The answer is possibly yes and possibly no. You will get a lot of flack from folks who think it is an immoral degradation of a "perk".

I am currently 103 days out from my Canada/NE cruise on the Emerald with an IB guarantee. Am I worried about it? Nope! Unless Princess moves me over, I know I will be onboard. Even if we have no assignment on the day of, we will happily drive up to Brooklyn knowing we get to sail that day! Having said that, I do check the website daily to see if we have a cabin assigned.

When is your cruise? The QR code does not appear until a few weeks before your cruise. As noted by others, and experienced by me, they do not check for it when you board. You don't really need instructions as it works like the old cruise card, used to board and disembark, make purchases and open your stateroom door. The medallion comes with a lanyard, but you will be given the opportunity to purchase accessories onboard.

We enjoyed ourselves and cared less about formal attire on others.

Good question! If you want to dress formally, more power to you. My wife and I got beyond that point several cruises ago, she always dresses nice and I don a jacket and dress shirt. I wasn't throwing shade it was an honest question.

I got this email twice last fall for my cruise on the Enchanted. They turned out to be rejections of my bid to upgrade my standard balcony to a premium balcony and a club class mini suite. I went to the website and discovered that my bid to upgrade my balcony was accepted for a standard mini suite. The email confirming that arrived later that evening.

Why do so many cruisers worry about which nights are formal?

It did exist during our NE/Canada cruise out of Brooklyn last October. Will let you know when we do the same cruise this September.

He will be fine. Without the app his experience will be just like before the medallion. He will use the medallion just like the old cruise card.
