  1. Thanks so much, we also like San Francisco, and Seattle, since we live just outside Vancouver, BC. Those ports are easy for us to fly to. I’m getting too old for those long travel days, but we love the Caribbean, so we do it. We have no interest in going to Alaska. My husband says he isn’t cruising anywhere that he needs to wear a coat and gloves, etc.
  2. Thanks so much. I’m looking for anything at a reasonable cost. I sure miss the old days. I did typically book and pay for a shuttle service beforehand, or grab a taxi. We still just grab a taxi in FLL. Since we don’t have a phone service plan in the USA, it’s hard for me to call up an Uber or something. I’ll check into the ones you have so kindly listed for me. I appreciate your help.
  3. Is there a shuttle service to go to LAX, I can’t seem to find one, but I have seen posts where people have just got off and boarded one right at the port. I need something for Oct. 1st. We used to just take a taxi, but it seems like that is now around 100.00 plus tip?
  4. Thanks for coming back and letting us know how it worked out for you. i hope your cruise was fantastic in lots of other ways, too.
  5. Some people don’t like the attention, which I totally understand. it’s not for everyone, that’s for sure.
  6. That was nice of your husband, and best not to know how much it was. I hope you enjoyed it. You can order all kinds of celebration packages for your cabin now.
  7. Do you mean the old paper ones, or the smaller electronic one where you use your medallion to enter your room? We only saw it there, and on the electronic boards around the ship. Still very fun!
  8. I appreciate you recognized how your post came across. I do hope everyone gets great service from Princess, as we all deserve it, even those of us who might not choose to spend our retirement wealth on a cruise. 😏
  9. No problem, enjoy your upgraded package…I’m a pay as you go cruiser and a non drinker, but I hope it works out for you.
  10. I was wondering about this post. I hope they answer… 5 hours ago, omynameistaken said: I changed all three of our upcoming cruises to princess premiere yesterday but I didn't change our September 1st Cruise and I'm really sad LOL. We just have so much onboard credit to spend 😆 We're definitely going to have to have a celebratory drink for your birthday!!🎉
  11. If you didn’t have all that OBC, would you be spending the same way? So many people are just cruising to use up FCC, etc. I wonder what is going to happen when everyone actually has to start putting in real cash again.
  12. Oh my goodness. How have I never noticed that? I guess I’ve always been focused on getting my questions answered. Thanks so much. Hopefully I remember that if the need to contact them about something arises. Luckily, I haven’t had to call about anything since I booked our latest cruise. Everything, including the app. seems to be working.
  13. You do realize anyone can book a suite, right? Retired and wealthy doesn’t mean a thing. Of course you pay for those extras and onboard services. As far as the suite line, it doesn’t always move faster as those in that line usually feel they have lots to complain about. However, the service that people receive when speaking with the representatives should be the same, no matter which cabin or how much money they have spent. I can tell you that when people call in with bad or entitled attitudes, if it was me, you might wait a little longer for me to come back on the phone after putting you on hold😉
  14. The OP isn’t interested in using the app. I prefer to save my time and money and use the app and be less frustrated.
  15. Well… how do you save the conversation? I screen shot everything, but would love to learn how to just save it instead.
  16. Definitely worth asking for a price match. I was able to get the same great price I got on an upgrade after final payment. I live in Canada and she lives in the USA. She sent my invoice to her PVP and they were able to upgrade, and got about 600.00 back as FCC. We both had originally booked inside rooms, but one day I was just looking at the site and couldn’t believe the balconies were heavily discounted. It was a bit of a process as Princess couldn’t see the same pricing I was, so I took a screenshot of everything as proof. In the end they had to cancel my booking and rebook it, but it was very much worth it.
  17. Thanks again. I guess I’ll have to wait and see if it becomes available in the fall.
  18. Do you think they will be offering the breakfast, at least? I can’t seem to order it on my personalizer.
  19. Thanks for your response. We have one of those large angled balconies for our Discovery cruise in September. We’re hoping the Ultimate Balcony Dinner will be offered by then as it’s something I’ve always wanted to try. If we can’t get a larger table, we’ll use your tricks, and for sure I’ll be asking for a tablecloth. What a great idea to dress up the table a bit.
  20. That reflections beach club was so fantastic. We stayed and enjoyed a sunset dinner there as we were in port until 10 pm. Drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. We got there just in time for happy hour. The taxi ride was about 12.00 and the restaurant called one for us when we were done. Best day ever, since we also did the Aruba trikes in the morning.
  21. That is crazy. Did you enjoy the other perks of the premium package?
  22. That is a great outcome. The best you could have hoped for and the right thing to happen. Thanks for the update and enjoy your next cruise.
