Are you not able to login ? I had a problem because Password was entered by Edge Autofill and it was using an old Password.

Correct. Like many others in this thread, after I login it asks to confirm/add information like it’s registering a new account. So no, I haven’t been able to login normally for weeks now. The only way I can see my upcoming cruise information is by looking it up using the booking number, first/last name and DOB (no login).

We all went through this when they first introduced MedallionClass but they did finally sort it out.  It seems they did an upgrade to MedallionClass.  This is a classic example of why you don't fix something which isn't broken...

So the Princess website is working again for you?  It’s definitely not for me even after clearing my cache, different browsers etc.

  3. This is truly becoming ridiculous. I can’t believe a corporation this size has had such a major problem with their website continue for so long. Truly mind boggling and frankly a little sad (pathetic). 🤣😐

We, typically, drive to our cruise port to save on the airfare (family of 5).  However, the unexpected lock down in 2020 REALLY left us wanting to go to places we have never had the opportunity to see.  We have already been to all of the cruise ports that the nearby ships visit, so . . . West Coast seems promising.

I LOVE the Mexican Riviera and have done many cruises there.  We're actually flying down to Puerto Vallarta to vacation for a week the end of June.  Anyhow, please be aware that the beaches are not like the ones you find in the Caribbean.  They are beautiful, but not the super white sand with turquoise water you may be used to.  Not trying to be a downer, just wanting to give you a heads up.  Enjoy!

I work in government affairs and closely monitor activity in the House and Senate. House Transportation Committee Chairman Peter DeFazio brought the bill up and asked for unanimous consent. There was no objection and the bill was passed. The exchange will be in the Congressional Record which should be printed sometime tomorrow, but I’m sure you will see a whole bunch of stories on this coming out shortly.

Appreciate the feedback. Good news indeed!

The bill just passed the House by unanimous consent. Looks like Alaska cruises will happen this summer.

Please post a link.  Thank you.

Edit:  I'm still only seeing the info from last week about the passage in the Senate.

There are issues here in San Diego since last week. Person that posted he had none in San Diego was just lucky. Even though when I log in it says to change password, or some other warning (different each time), , I go to booked cruises and they are all there.I was able to go into cruise history, FCD, etc. I made copies of all the records in case Princess wipes out everything and we lose it.

Confirmation that I'm having the same issues - also in San Diego.

On our last cruise in the fall of 2019 the waiters were openly telling us to tip in cash at specialty restaurants because the written amount on a bill would be pooled with the rest of the ship. My husband didn't have any cash on him and was going to write it in, but was so turned off that he didn't write anything. Now, we are good tippers and if we're brought a drink, etc he'll give them a dollar or so, but the whole cruise it seemed people were fishing for something extra. I hope that doesn't ever repeat itself. It was such a turn off

I've not experienced that on Princess, or any other cruise line I've sailed on.

While I agree it should not be a problem for the IT folks at Princess to program the software to make periodic recertification of retired veterans unneccessary, I also understand that Princess does this at their option as a courtesy to veterans, and if they want periodic recertifications, who are/am we/I to say otherwise???

    Paul

Good point, Paul. I’m grateful Carnival Corp offers this perk for veterans. I’m just offering my opinion is all.

Seems pointless as once a veteran, always a veteran. I can see being required to reconfirm stockholder OBC, just not veteran OBC.

Hi Doug - Keep in mind that not everyone who served is considered a veteran.  There are those who may be serving in the reserves yet are never called to active duty, other than for training.  They qualify for the OBC while serving in the reserves (using their CAC or military ID as proof or service) but as soon as they are discharged they are not considered veterans.

But yes, I agree that those who are veterans should not have to "re-up" with Princess. 😉

Let's start sailing!!!  Can't wait to see what happens with the first few cruises in July!  Praying all goes well!

Agreed!  We finally get this fantastic news about the resumption of cruising in the US and we still have folks arguing about all the same old unknowns.  Pass the popcorn, please... 😁😉
