  1. But you can't carry on - every player has one set of pulls either 3 pulls at 💲5 or 5 pulls at 💲3 depending on the machine chosen. No extra players and no extra pulls. The pot is then divided according to the Rules in our case every player gets an equal share rounded down to the nearest 💲. The player pulling the highest gets their share plus all the odd cents. In addition the casino usually puts in some prizes in the case of our last Pull these were I have/had no idea, not do I have any idea what if anything these are worth. Perhaps we should have a draw for whose Card we should use. That would be easy for me as all players are allocated a number and they play in number order. As long as everyone has fun that's all I want.
  2. A poorly organised pull. The rules under which I organise a Pull (inherited from another organiser) clearly state that members can't join once the Pull has started. On our last Pull we had 80 participants a total of 💲1200 put in the machine and it made no difference to my Casino Status. The rules are also designed so that in the event of a big win no one has to pay the tax. Won't know if it will work but hopefully one day we will get to find out.
  3. Yes and also the hot chocolate and iced coffee based drinks.
  4. Agreed at last sense has prevailed now 2 basic options on every cruise. Cruise only - applicable on all cabins except Aqua and Suites. All included - which lists exactly what the "all" is. Of course you can then upgrade the drinks and the WiFi.
  5. The crucial bit is when or if you order a drink over the $9 price you only pay the difference not the full amount. Wait until you are no board, see what you drink and only upgrade if it makes sense.
  6. Look at the chairs. If you like to relax on your balcony in chairs that recline and with a reasonablely sized table you can't on an Infinity Balcony. Silhouette is our favourite - 4 times in the last 4 years. Captain's Club breakfast ( table service, croissants, Danish pastries, fresh fruit, smoothies, speciality coffees/teas, bloody Mary's, etc served in Tuscan Grill 08.00 to 10.00 is a great start to the day. We don't see the value in anything other than a Regular bslcony.
  7. Code share is different as the rules apply to the primary carrier in this case AA which doesn't charge.
  8. Welcome, a great age to start and a great line to choose. As fellow Brits we are sure you will have a great time. If you would like a copy of our "Hints and Tips for first time cruisers" please email us: geoffanita at hotmail dot com ( sorry for the odd way of writing it stops the robots). Geoff and the boss (Anita).
  9. What wrong with the configuration? We loved the backward facing middle seats now sadly gone but have not experienced the new layout.
  10. Yes unless you have the Status or need assistance.
  11. Only exceptions are high airline status (BA silver or equivalent) or above or if you require disability assistance.
  12. Australia and NZ are different as their prices include tips which cannot be removed or as Celebrity puts " tips not required".
  13. We find a tour we like, take out any lunch stop and substitute with coffee/cake breaks, also remove any lengthy shopping stop. We choose a guide that has a vehicle that holds 6 to 8 then put it on the Roll Call to share with one other couple splitting the cost. This gives us plenty of room in the vehicle. We also make it clear that we walk slowly (Anita uses a folding walker) and we take lots of photos. We are happy to book the guide, pay the deposit and the balance and collect the other half of the cost once onboard and before the tour. Yes we take a bit of a risk but it has always worked out. Great way to spend a day with no waiting for busses to load/unload. Stop when we like. Walk with the guide rather than trailing behind like being back at school.
  14. We find the TBL prices very much reflect the hourly pay rates in each country. For example Scandinavia tends to be very high South America cheaper. In addition at present there is what think of as the "Covid affect" as those businesses/guides which have survived now struggle to recover from 2 years of no income - think Celebrity prices.
  15. Don't worry. If the latter you would receive a full refund. If the former TBL will pay for overnight accommodation and to get you to the next available port. For added security we always tailor the tour to come back at least 1 hour earlier than the ships latest "back on board time" which has the added bonus of usually missing the lines to get back on the ship.
  16. Why Guest Relations? You are just adding another link in the chain go straight to the Excursions desk.
  17. You can get the same experience through Toursbylocals at a fraction of the price and you deal direct with the guide rather than through an intermediary.
  18. Also the water during the 5 to 7 slot is unlimited and in unopened cans. If you drink this type of water take a few to see you through the next day.
  19. Sorry forgot also latte, cappuccino etc in the main dining room.
  20. Not quiet you get bloody Mary's, and some other wine/champagne and lattes/cappuccino/flat white at the Elite breakfast. If you are Elite+ you also all non alcoholic coffees, teas and chocolate in Al Bacio and in every other bar that has the espresso machines.
  21. Had this problem on Indi. At 2 punches for a Latte it was cheaper to pay.
  22. On our last cruise (Silhouette in May) on the first night we received a nice 4 page tour brochure from the excursions desk which specifically highlighted 4 tours that they highly recommended. The only problem was that all the tours were for the previous sailing.
  23. The odd thing was the Director of Guest Relations was expecting us to get a refund and she contacted HO twice to confirm that no refund was due. No problem on the ship about it and frankly I don't think the majority of passengers (mainly Brits) even knew that the fees are ever refunded - we certainly didn't until our US friends told us. In fact the first time it happened the ship credited all American/Canadian passengers automatically but not the few Brits who were onboard. At the suggestion of our American table companions we asked and were initially told no refunds. When we explained that our table companions had been credited we were told " sorry it was a mistake, of course you get the credit" and it was done immediately.
