  1. Another question, we sailed at the beginning of the month. I was not 100% that we would sail again next summer so I did not using the FCC. I have since misplaced or possibly threw in the trash. Is there a way to get another copy of this? Even my Mom and Dad had one and didn't use it. We must have been crazy!! Sure, when the deposit is $1,000 my balance just seem that bad...but it makes it so much handier on my wallet when it's half....

  2. Hi :) The Comfort Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport South and Cruise looks to be a great one!! It's just about 4 months old. They offer free airport shuttle, free breakfast and they do offer shuttles to the cruise ports, Port Everglades and Port of Miami. I am sorry, I do not know the exact prices for Port Everglades. We are sailing out of Miami so I have arranged transfers with a company they recommended.....All Star Transportation. It will be $68 each way for 4 adults.

  3. Hi Everybody :) I have searched the forums, but cannot find anything about how often NCL does their reduced deposit fares. I know when we booked in November last year for this past summers cruise it was, but I am getting antsy and wanting to get our cabin rebooked for the Getaway for next summer!! I did see on their web site if you book for any remaining cruises in 2015, you can get a reduced deposit, but thats not gonna help us  Does anyone have any idea of how often they run the reduced deposits??

  4. What time is this held around? Are children (8/9) able to attend?

I checked my dailies from the 7/4 sailing on the Getaway and it started at 10:15 pm of course :) yes, children of all ages are there! Make sure to get a couple glow sticks and the necklaces they hand out once the party starts!

  5. We were on the Getaway, it was on deck 16. It was a fun time!! I had read online about it, so I packed all my family white to wear. They use the black lights, so it glows :D:cool: The staff hands out go sticks/necklaces and play music and dance. There were persons there in attendance of all ages. We stayed for the majority of the party, until our youngest was ready for bed. Enjoy your cruise with your family!

  6. Unless you plan of doing the "walk off" ship yourself you have to put your luggage out by your cabin door, I think no later than 11pm the last night of your cruise. You have to claim your luggage at the port and go through security/customs. Once you go though there and make it outside there are plenty of porters to help. I do remember seeing porters available inside of the building to help as well. We did use NCL for transportation from and to the airport. We flew in/out of MIA though. Our cost per person was $19.00.

  7. someone posted this photo in another thread of an angled balcony, which they found to be bigger than a regular balcony:

I may have not done that correctly....but if you search angled balcony on Getaway or Breakaway it will bring up some pictures. My Mom and Dad had 14208 2 weeks ago on the Getaway and it was angled. It is quite a bit bigger than our regular balcony mini suite we had beside them. Some of them are angled to look forward, some backward. Hope this helped. :)

  8. Does anyone know if the reduced deposit is going to be making a come back for 2016 bookings soon? Maybe in August?? I did see that if you booked for any remaining 2015 cruise, deposit was reduced. I can't remember how long ago it was and how long it stayed around.

  9. We said the same thing about seeing the same people! It was crazy!! :) The only disappointment we encountered was our 12 year old doesn't weigh 99lbs, so she couldn't do the drop slide :( I told her not to worry, we'd get it next year ;) I had read that about the Atlantis too!! Glad we opted out of that one, as we seriously considered it. We've ported many times at Nassau and never been over there!

  10. We sailed the Getaway two weeks ago and loved everything about it!! Our excursions were booked through NCL, with the exception of us grabbing a taxi and visiting Magen's Bay. My family and I are thinking of taking this cruise next summer too!! We were just discussing it this morning. We decided that the perks of The Haven just was not worth it as we felt our time on the ship was just as well as someone who was staying in the Haven. It would be about $5,000 cheaper for us to just stay in a mid-ship mini suite which we felt was the perfect amount of space for us 4. Getting all the perks right now for booking the Haven is tempting though :D My girls are younger than yours, 12 and 8, but we just do not do the kids clubs either. We sign up and they never go back. I can't wait to hear what others and past Haven members can tell you :)

  11. We were on the Getaway a week after you! Such a fun week!! Our excursions were booked through the ship also. It eased my mind. Your review on the Baths was spot on to our impression of it!! The inside room going over, the EXTREME hotness coming back. I joked the captain was doing 2mph on the way back. Such a gorgeous site to see though! Sounds like you and your family had a great week such as us. We also had the UBP, and we feel it's a must!! Especially my husband ;) We did not eat at any specialty restaurants. Only at the Garden Cafe, O' Sheenan's, Flamingo Grill (we didn't care for it at all!) and The Tropicana Room. I regret not eating breakfast at Savor! Thanks for sharing!!

  12. Hi all! :) In the beginning stages of booking our cruise for July 9,2016 from POM. I have went online to book our pre cruise stay, and it seems there is not many with availability. Specifically Hilton properties, the Hampton Inn's. I am a creature of habit and seem to gravitate towards their properties. I would have thought with it being right at a year out, we wouldnt have a problem. I booked our room this past November for our cruise last week. Does anyone know why, or what is going on this weekend??

  13. Were these included as 'free' with the ultimate beverage package? Did you just ask the baretender for a vanilla milkshake?

    Thanks.

I could never find where we were charged for the shakes on our final bill. My husband said there is no way they were part of the beverage package though :) I'm sorry I'm not 100%!!! Yes, just for a vanilla shake. Our 8 year old liked the chocolate ones too!!
