can anyone provide information on, or a copy of the current MDR wine price list (bottles) on Reflection (or other Celebrity ship, assuming prices are the same)? Thanks!
-
just doing our online check-in & read this re the onboard safety briefing:
"
Onboard: Complete your safety briefing
Connect to the ship’s free Wi-Fi (no internet package required, in-app charges), tap Safety on the app’s home screen to launch the safety briefing, then stop by your assembly station before the ship sails. No app? Go to your assembly station and a crew member will assist you.what does "(no internet package required, in-app charges)," mean?
is there a charge for using the app??? or what?

Another change is that your Seapass stateroom entry card is now waiting for you outside your stateroom door - it will not be handed to you at check-in.
oh....so, anyone could grab it...& walk off with it??
-
aside from the 2 bottles/ cabin policy, does Celebrity offer anything in the way of "wine packages"? ie purchase "x" bottles of wine for "x" dollars, or whatever....?
seems to me we had that option somewhere...but not sure which cruse line, or when...hic!! 🍷

just got email to check in online now for our April cruise.
One of the requirements appears to be to provide a "Security Photo" of each guest as part of the check-in process. I don't recall having to do this on our last Celebrity cruise.
Is this something new? and, is it mandatory?

ok, but the second part of my post is FLL-related, no?🤷♂️
I guess I'm wondering if the approx. 4-5hr window between disembarking & flight departure time(or at least airport-arrival time) is long enough to plan any other activity?

actually, I was hoping we could make this request PRE-Cruise, to avoid any problems as mentioned above by Pushkin

we're on Celebrity Reflection April 7-13. Our flight out of FLL on disembarking day (Sat Apr. 13) is not until 2:30pm. What's the very latest we can hang around onboard that morning and, is there any point? Also- probably not, but... any suggestions for killing time before our flight, other than hanging out at the airport?

When we have done it, it was so we could use the refrigerator for our own items. (Water, soda, etc.). I didn't see it as extra work as it only took a couple of minutes to remove anything and place it in a container.
We have also experienced times where mistakes were made and we were charged for items we did not use and had to get an adjustment from GS. Just was better for us to just not have it in the stateroom. In fact on one occasion the first thing the attendant asked was if we intended to use the items and would we prefer if he removed them. Just our experience.
agreed!👍

thanks all. we NEVER use the stuff,we just want the space...to store our own items😉

we're on Celebrity Reflection April 7-13.
Is there an option, pre-cruise, to request to have NO chargeable items at all in your stateroom (and no re-stocking) during cruise?🤦♂️

anyone stayed in this particular cabin, or in the area?
just looking for comments re location, noise?.....other?🤓
-
Embassy Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Hyatt Place.
Anyone stay at either lately ? Much difference between the 3?? (does the Hyatt incl. free breakfast as well?)
We've stayed at the first 2, but its been a few years...so.......
Would appreciate comments - pro or con - from recent visitors....or anyone...😉
Hoping to book somewhere TODAY!

Specific dates are needed to make a comparison since prices can vary wildly given any special events like the Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale from April 5 - 7. Prices will also vary depending upon when the reservations were made so what someone is paying for a room booked months ago can be less than what the hotel is charging for a reservation in 2 months.
You might check ValueTrips (www.valuetrips.com) for prices at the Hyatt Place Cruise Port near 17th Street. Both the hotel and booking through ValueTrips have very good reviews here.
You could also check out the big 3rd party booking sites (booking.com, tripadvisor, etc.).
not familiar with valuetrips. so, they're ok? legit?
as mentioned, I've used horwire in the past

2 nights
check-in Apr.5
check-out Apr.7

price point?
well, what I'd like, & what's realistic, are two different things! lol
what would $200-300 get me these days?
(yes, lots of hotel threads, but most dont seem to deal with current pricing...)

Just looking for something for 2 nights before our April cruise. Been a while since we've been in FLL. I've used Hotwire in the past , with usually good results.
Any hot deals floating around for April, 3.5+ hotel will do. In the Port area, or in the nearby beach area? where / how to book? Thanks!

just stayed 2 nights at the Hampton Inn Brickell, and highly-recommend it.
Rates vary widely. If you can get a rate around $200/night jump on it.

On our two recent cruises ( Equinox and Edge ) the food quality and selection in the OVC was fine, in fact very good. Lots of Staff around to assist if needed .
It's some of the " Attendees " are what the " negative stuff " is all about.
Unbelievable how some people act--- and, the amount of food that's wasted is awful !!
agree....about the food wastage...it's sinful

WE never go IN the pool, but from what I saw, the pool situation appeared to be about the same level of chaos I've seen on any other cruise / cruiseline...🤪

We're really looking forward to cruising next month. Thanks for your review. There's been such negative stuff posted lately about Ocean View and cutting back on offerings it's nice to hear some recent positive feedback.
we just got off the 4-night cruise on Silhouette April 6-10. No complaints about the variety or quality of food in the Oceanview Cafe (the buffet) or the MDR. Didnt do any specialty dining. Here's the "dessert" spread at the OVC on Easter Sunday:

current MDR wine prices?
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted · Edited by jargey3000
thanks jelayne😊
quite an extensive list indeed!
I'm assuming there's no "corkage fee" in addition to the price per bottle, on the menu? ....so a $50 bottle of wine costs you $50? correct?
(edit: $50 plus tip, of course🤦♂️)
