I am Andi from Munich,
I travel with my partner. We have sailed last year a TA mit HAL gemchat, we have enjoyed it. Are there other family members?
-
Thank you for this..... so interesting
-
Thanks for your kind answers. I had only seen photos of new programs on which the meeting was no longer noted. We make a transatlantic cruise in the fall. On our last trips we always enjoyed the meeting.

Is there no LGBT in the daily program any longer?

Check Roger Jett's site. If you have an older bar menu like the one I posted from December, just pretend that the limit is $8 and you'll find what's eligible. The prices and the SBP limit moved in sync for the most part.
As a general rule, almost all your liquor and mixed drinks are covered with the exception of the most expensive tequilas and single malt Scotch. All the beers are covered. The wine selection is more limited, but it's workable.
Great! Thank You!

Does anyone have a really new bar menu? Wondering what is included with the new 9$ limit.

anyone likes this better ?

Thank you so much! I i think they are not done with the Atrium, looks hot finished. I like the new lido on the Oosterdam much better.... really love your pics... like to see more.... :-)

We are 34 and 38, love HAL.

We'll be on the Zuiderdam's Viking Passage next year, which is essentially a westbound TA that starts in Copenhagen and winds up in NY via Norway, Iceland, Greenland, and Canada. So, part Europe, part not.
Any idea how laundry prices are treated on such a sailing?
Thanks!
We will be on the Westerdam westbound Oktober TA, i called them tiwce, it is 9$.
I think they now all know about the 9$ in Europe, still a good deal i guess.

The crystal chandelier is gone too, replaced with a (in my opinion) hideous set of tilting circles for lighting.
Those circle lights are the trend. I've seen them at several hotels recently. Some of the pictures reminded me of the newly redone Marriotts in Charlotte and Bethesda, Maryland -- grays, whites, distressed woods with a pop of color somewhere.
I looked at the crew member's facebook pages and the video. It all looks fresh to me. Would I copy it in my home? No, but it is fresh and clean, yet still refined. I hope they still have some nautical nods so that I feel like I'm on an ocean liner and not at a "any city hotel."
HAL is in a difficult position-- just like a country club or a Marriott Hotel, they have to update every few years without going too wild but still look classy.
Looking forward to seeing it in person next month.
I agree, some of the other HAL ships look really dated (not vintage)... they need to do something. I prefer the nautical style to, but this is much better then before in my opinion. I am really interested how he buffet area looks... it seems they did almost the hole ship (public spaces) during this dry dock.

If you need to see for from her.... search for "Peter Banaag" at FB. He seems to be a crew member...... many pics during and after dry dock, enjoy.

Ok... how about this...
I really love the new atrium.

Please take good care of this suite for us as we will be there in October for the TA from Rome to FLL. We love the corner suites on the stern on all ships. We have been in 6177 on Westerdam in the past but really love the cover and size of the verandah in 5190..
We will be on this cruise too.... see you!

The only pizza I have seen is in the Pasta and Pizza station in the Lido Market.
Sent from my iPad using Forums
Ok, thank you. No more flowers in the suite? Enjoy your cruise.

Wonderful, thank you so much? Do they have a NY Pizza now?

And NCL is one, (if not the BEST) drink packages at sea, with alcoholic drinks up to $15!!! ;p
Sorry, but i do not think so. Softdrinks are just soda... No coffee, bottled water....
you do not get much for 15 $ on NCL.

Looks pretty BAD to me
Alternative Facts ?

just Cub Soda for all i know....

Hello, we are Andreas and Dominik from Munich / Germany.
Are other family members on board? We would love to hear from you ....
Is there really nobody else? This is a pity ... there will be lonely evenings at the bar :-(

Any update on the wife who was sobbing on the couch because the captain wouldn't sail the Breakaway directly into a hurricane?
Just wondering how she's doing. She manage to enjoy part of the cruise?
I really feel sorry for her :-)
