We were on the first cruise after dry dock and it had no negative impact on us at all. We don't spend much time in the Crows Nest, we use our own balcony a lot. I know some people had some problems but I can only speak for us.

 

There was no Noro and there were no coughs - all new carpet and upholstery on a lot of chairs. I am sure that helped.

 

We were compensated for the disruption to the Crows Nest so can't complain.

How did you like the diningroom, they added new chairs ?

It seems to be hard to get pics or info's.

Other lines use facebook for drydock infos, not HAL.

I understand that the Zuiderdam went into dry dock in April and that additional cabins were added on deck 10. Does anyone know if updates were made to the existing cabins and to the public spaces?

It seems to be really hard to get any new pic's......

You can see the refurbished Sports Bar, Atrium, Explorers lounge, Crowes Nest, MDR, Queens Lounge...

 

The Showroom doesn't seem to have been changed, based on older pictures...

Can't see it because of stupid German music copyright :-(

AIDA only offers buffets (no cover), most German's love it

(I am German and hate it)

It' saves a lot of space.

The other two won't be HAL ships, I would imagine Costa gets them.

 

That sounds like a God-awful ship btw, wow at that space ratio.

Space ratio on AIDA ships is always bad, there customers are used to it.

On Zuiderdam in 14 days so I will take some pics for you.

I have cancelled my reservations on Azamara, despite over 12 voyages under my belt.

I am going,instead, for the first time, on Crystal Symphony.

The pumped up prices, the pumped down standards, the unazamazing evenings have made it that they have, very sadly, priced themselves out of their price niche.

I will miss you so much but money talks and your shoreside couldnt organise a Sunday School picnic!!

Actually I was thinking about taking the cruise leaving on dec, 10th. But as I can see how many single gay travellers will be on the dec 1st trip I will consider this one.

I will be travelling alone as well as my partner prefers to go skiing instead of cruising.

Ps. Any thoughts about making excursions together while in port? Been to Madeira a couple of times, but never to the others ports…. Prefer to go independent instead of going on one of those overpriced excursions they sell on the ship.

Hi! I bocked 2 excursions.... but cheap ones... remember, the cruise at Dez 1 goes to Tenerife not to Madeira... i makes it may be more attractive for you?
