I've been to San Francisco many times....but I'd like to repeat one memorable experience....:) When I was 6...and coming home after 3 years on a U.S. Navy Base in Japan....we cruised under the Golden Gate bridge at night... And even though my Mom had said it wasn't really "golden"....I still remember looking out the porthole and exclaiming....it really was Golden....!!

Sadly....Casey died yesterday....he was 17....I can't help but think they might be all together now.....

I am waiting for it to get a wee bit warmer... This is my first day in the pool this year....and as I sit here in my fleece and sweats....I'm having a few doubts....:)

Graham...sleep with a pillow between your knees....it keeps your hips in alignment and protects your knees...just FYI....:)

@grapau27 Question.....when you leave out of Southampton....do you fly from home...or drive...or take the train....I know it is quite a distance.....?? @StLouisCruisers Your cruise looks great....!! Do you have plans when arriving in Southampton...??

@grapau27 Oh Graham...that is so tragic.....

A few years ago....we replaced several batteries in one of our cars...plus the alternator....and couldn't resolve the problem.. My cousin called and said his friend had the same problem....and it was the radio. It had just enough pull when the car was off...to drain the battery.. We replaced the radio....and never had another problem....

After my husband passed away several weeks ago....I needed to stay busy....and have gone thru every closet, nook and cranny...organizing and downsizing.... A few days ago...I made a command decision...and booked a condo in Waikiki for the month of September....:) I use to live there....way back...in 1967.....and have taken our family many, many times... This is a solo trip...just want to kick back and do nothing but bob in the pool and watch the sunset from the lanai.....:) My family is so super glad and so super excited that I'm going....they even have it all worked out on who is staying with Casey every night (our cat)...and who is taking and picking me up at the airport.... I'm guessing that old Don Ho record I found....might have had something to do with this...:)

@kazu Jacqui....great minds....!! We were posting at the same time....

When I was in the process of trying to get my husband into a hospice care facility (however...he died at the hospital)...I had two problems with his Will....I only had an unsigned copy at home and had to make a wild dash to our safety deposit box for the signed original...then make a copy.....as the care facility needed his POA (Power of Attorney)... Thankfully....the POA was included at the bottom part of the Will.... Just this morning....I typed up a blank form of the Will with all the correct legal terms ....as all the adult members of our family...children and grandchildren....now want to have their own Wills....and they will then have their signatures notarized at their banks.... We have all learned how important it could be.....

One of my UK genealogy friends posted a photo collage of her Mother, Grandmother's and Great-Grandmother's.....what a great idea....so I did the same....and had to share...:) My Mom (and me), my Grandmother's...and my Great-Grandmother's.... Happy Mother's Day....!!!

@aliaschief One of my sons joined me on my last cruise to Hawaii...and he plays disc golf... We booked a tee time at Puakea Golf Course...not far from where you are on Kauai....they have both ball golf and disc golf... I am not a golfer....but had great fun driving the cart....and it was beautiful....:)
