  1. Yes, thank you jelayne, Janedo2012 posted the benefits a little while back. And unfortunately bottled water isn't one of them. Just good to have in the cabin. That's ok, we've got the Icon to look forward to in 10 months.
  2. I'll have to look up what the Persian Garden perk is all about on only one port day.
  3. One more quick question, I appreciate all of your information to date. We're in Celebrity's Elite status, does that status provide any complimentary bottled water in the cabin as does sister line Royal where we're D+.
  4. Janedoe2012 have you specifically been on the Silhouette in the last couple of years? If so anything stand out in your estimation anywhere on the ship? Your thoughts are greatly appreciated, I have an April 2024 cruise coming up.
  5. Like Royal, are guests on all Celebrity ships offered either a morning or evening cabin attendant cleaning and makeup? Thanks in advance to those who reply.
  6. Not as far as I know, it's not a Shore Excursion, if it was we didn't do it as such, why pay them when you can take a van /taxi.. We arrived at the Boatyard from getting off the pier. That same taxi came back to pick us up at a designated time we told them. The taxi fare is relatively inexpensive also being a round trip. Barbados isn't like some of the other islands when it comes to taxi and van rates. Don't skip the Boatyard whatever you do !
  7. I'm happy to read your post, enjoy your next ports and the Beyond !
  8. Yes, I would think that too, after all, the cruise line right down to the Captain of the ships to maintenance and the cabin attendants should all be aware of this on going problem with this class of ships. Thanks for your reply Oceansaway17.
  9. Sounds like a plan !! Have a great time Lastdance !
  10. Thanks for your review Mrs_Tiki. much appreciated ! If possible, please let us know how things are going at least by the nearing of your cruise.
  11. Again, thank you RTShaker, for your insight and photos. I'm looking into booking on the Silhouette in 2024 from all the good information received.
  12. I'm so used to unobstructed views from the larger Royal ships. So in your opinion for the Silhouette, skip deck 6, possibly 7 or how about deck 8 for a less obstructed view, after the hump but still midship thoughts anyone?
  13. But if you aren't do I gather looking straight down from a deck 6 balcony you'd be looking on top of the lifeboats? Question Helen, I'll assume the balcony doors on the Silhouette are the same sliding doors like other balcony doors have as opposed to what the E Series ships have.
  14. Would deck six be too close to the lifeboats if staying in a mid ship cabin when looking down or would you say deck 7 is a better choice being in a mid ship cabin? Thanks in advance to those who reply
  15. Where were you sailing to and from? Did you find the Apex handled the rough seas better than other class ships?
  16. Anyone experience this issue on deck 6 in the 6212 to 6216 group of cabins. I read 6287 had the issue. I had read that this new design of E ships that there's something built under the bow area to facilitate air bubbles to make the ride smoother when the seas get rough. Has anyone researched this as well?
  17. Lots of lol's there, did you read some of the threads and posts with cabin numbers and look at the video by chance? Look it up if you haven't. Hard to believe it could be happening on a newer cruise ship Macdl.
  18. I've read the post and saw the video of the ungodly noise that's taken place in some of the cabins a few days ago, but there's been nothing new to read whatsoever. I hope your cruise goes well and you'll be posting your thoughts and give us the good news that you didn't have any noise issues. it's interesting that there's been no noise reports from other places on the ship like the dining room and and any other open decks, only in the cabins when moving. Pleasant voyage !
  19. I'm thinking perhaps they finished working on the Beyond either late on a Monday or early on a Friday so they could go home leaving a few areas of the ship not as tights as one would expect it to be. A poster posted a video and it sounded like gunfire taking place, I don't know anyone who could get to sleep with the sound of gunfire. I'm happy to read that the Apex wasn't one of the E ships with that problem.
  20. Mrs_Tiki from what some are saying you may need more than earplugs. Hope you have a wonderful cruise with no issues, please let us know how you make out.
  21. Please be sure to post your results, I'm sure by now comments after the cruise must be making someone in Miami aware of the problem.
