  1. There a few other sailings too that as cheap as chips.
  2. There some real baragins for Carnival if you live out of Brisbane.
  3. The airport in Auckland about 20kms outside the CBD.
  4. Princess just assigned her to me. She sends me emails all the time. I guess maybe cause I'm Elite. And she knows I've be hogging FCC that have to be booked before Xmas and sail by August 2023. If she going to send me prompting emails like that I might start using her 🙂 Though, I prefer to hold the cabin on Princess website straight away. Cruise planners, TAs can be too slow to respond and sometimes the deal gone.
  5. It was actually an email from my cruise planner at Princess that alerted me to the cheap fares. Then I went online and booked them. If I had waited until Monday to contact her I would have missed the fares. I still need them to apply my FCC to the first cruise. The second I just pay the deposit. Maybe they can fix up cabins so we have the same one. Not too fussed if we have to shift as its only two doors down.
  6. Must have been just a few cabins they selling off cheap cause now for the two cruises I booked before hand its now showing: 3019 pp and for 7 day one following $1675 pp
  7. It could be that and I'm holding onto FCC that need to be used up too. There the cruise following it for 7 nights for $699 pp. I booked that too 🙂 I couldn't select the same room, but same area I booked that one too 😄
  8. I wonder if its because I live in Melbourne or close to Melbourne I getting cheaper price?
  9. Also did a dummy booking for 21 December cruise. Still showing the cheap price for me.
  10. Definatley in AUD as I got my booking confirmation.
  11. Finally Princess has some deals that suit my budget. I booked 13 nights to NZ from Melbourne inside $1299 pp. I booked the 8 March 2023 cruise, but for those who like to cruise over the Xmas break they had the same pricing inside $1299 pp or oceanview $1599 pp leaving 21 December 2022 from Melbourne. Princess not open to apply my FCC. So I call them on Monday . Found these deals directly on the Princess website.
  12. I looked at them. Nah. Not interested in them. I want something out of Melbourne and pickings are slim.
  13. I think the cruiselines are going to have to drop their prices a bit if they want to full up their ships. I havent really seen any real baragins. Nothing to tempt me to pull the trigger. I got a couple of FCC with Princess that I have to book by December and sail by August 2023. But nothing take my fancy and cruises are pricey so I rather lose $200 than overpay at moment and they wont extend the date on them too. On well their loss. I'm not going to book for sake of booking.
  14. Must be some people who ate a lot of baked beans in the past two years cause it nearly fully booked. I guess if you couldn't really travel far and you wanted to do a cruise of lifetime you could shell out the money. But would you want to spend all your potential travel money on one big splash or lots of little ripples. I guess it depends on various factors. Like the Regent Legendary cruises just released. $$$$$$$$$$$ and then some. Is this the first time they offered this cruise?
  15. You be fine Sparky 🙂 Just go with the flow. I'm envious of you. Can't go anywhere at the moment until the builders finish building our new house. And that sucking down the $$$
  16. What with the Henny Penny posting. There is still plenty of demand for cruising post COVID-19. Lots of stocks have taken a hit. I dare not look at my super fund cause its probably lost a lot of $$$ in the past couple of months. But then I'm in it for the long term as I'm not retiring for a least 10-15 years. If I was retiring in the next 12 months I would be a little bit sad.
  17. There seems to be a few bargains around of late. And I thought it might be opportune to just have one thread so people can post where they see a good cruising deal. Ship Name: Celebrity Century Cruise Code: CN22OCT14 Departure Date: Wednesday, 22 October 2014 Cruise Name: Southern Australia Nights: 8 Departing: Sydney - Australia Inside Guarantee $595 pp Ship Name: Celebrity Century Cruise Code: CN11NOV14 Departure Date: Tuesday, 11 November 2014 Cruise Name: Southern Australia Nights: 8 Departing: Sydney - Australia Inside Guarantee $595 pp These are snooze or you lose type of deals.
