  1. We sail on Sirena Tues., October 18th. I was panicking a bit reading the recent reviews, then I remembered that our cruise is a tad special.

"This culinary sojourn is hosted by Sirena’s godmother, Claudine Pépin. Guests will be treated to specially designed signature menus, engaging lectures, culinary demonstrations and much more."

Thank God, we're newbies. We won't know what we're missing! :D

  2. I'm the one who wrote about the pool being 8 feet deep, and it is. The pools on all of the Oceania ships are DEEP.

There are Steam Rooms (one for men and one for ladies) which are available at no additional cost (nothing on a Cruise Ship is free!).

    Thanks a lot JimandStan!!

  3. Hi All! a010.gif Newbie here.

PLEASE tell me about the SPA on Sirena. Is there a sauna? Is there a steam room? Can anybody use it @ NO CHARGE?

Also, how deep is the pool? Someone said 8 ft. a038.gif

(I read the previous thread about the Riviera.)

  4. I guess I was one of the guys that money never meant anything to me...I flew for the airlines for 37 years...flew the 767 as captain for a few years...loved that airplane, as I loved all the airplanes I flew...I can honestly say that I went through life without a job. :) ...I just wish I was as good at golf as I was flying airplanes!

Hi smiling jack!! a010.gif I felt the same way working in the back. Bless you for keeping us all safe!! g098.gif

  5. I have just witnessed that on Riviera. Some cocky bloke who was full of himself, told us that although he was only ocean view for the week, he had booked his 4 restaurants and then booked the other three nights as well.Unfortunately for him, three were very quickly cancelled by Oceania and they weren't the times he wanted..

Thanks so very, very much for your timely response!! e030.gif I'm sooo glad I didn't press the 'confirm' button! e034.gif

  6. Oceania closes out the Reservation system one full week before the voyage commences in order to adjust irregularities.

If they catch on, you never know which of your "extra" reservations they would choose to cancel; you of course would be in no position to complain.

    I would lose my mind.

BINGO!! That's the answer I was waiting for! I knew it, knew it, I knew it was too good to be true!! d045.gif

Thanks sooo much for your help!!

  7. The number of guaranteed reservations is tied into the type of cabin you've booked AND the length of the Cruise.

If your cruise is 18 Sailing Days (or more), you'll be permitted to make two advance reservations per restaurant in an inside cabin.

    For All Vessels:

-Owner's, Vista and Oceania Suites may make reservations at 90 days out until 7 days prior to embarkation.

Penthouse Suites may make reservations at 75 days out until 7 days prior to embarkation.

Concierge Level Veranda Staterooms may make reservations at 60 days out until 7 days prior to embarkation.

OK.Veranda, Ocean View and Inside Staterooms may make reservations at 45 days out until 7 days prior to embarkation.

Number of Reservations, Regatta, Insignia, Nautica, Sirena:

Owner's Suite, Vista Suite, Penthouse Suite and Concierge Level Veranda

0-7 Sailing Days: 1 reservations at each restaurant

8-17 Sailing Days: 2 reservations at each restaurant

18+ Sailing Days: 3 reservations at each restaurant

Veranda, Ocean View and Inside Stateroom

0-7 Sailing Days: 1 reservations at each restaurant

8-17 Sailing Days: 1 reservations at each restaurant

18+ Sailing Days: 2 reservations at each restaurant

OK. Here's the deal. :D We're in an Inside cabin. It's 10 days which means we can make 2 reservations online. We did. 1 in Toscana and 1 in Red Ginger. After I submitted our reservations and it was confirmed, I noticed that I could put in more dates if I wanted to. There was no restriction. Has anyone booked 'over the limit?'

  8. Everyone is GUARANTEED their allowance of specialty dining reservations - whether you book online before boarding or once onboard.

They may not be on the days/times of your first choice but you will get your allowance.

Booking early and being flexible with time and table size may give you more choices.

    Enjoy.

Sirena only has 2 Specialty restaurants. Toscana & Red Ginger. We have an inside stateroom so I booked both. HOWEVER, I noticed that we could reserve more than the 2 GUARANTEED. Have you ever done that?

  9. What are interline rates? Do you need to be in the airline industry or retired from it to utilize it?

    Yup.

Interline also includes Courier Company Employees such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, Airborne Express.

We are flying UA home from our cruise. Hope to meet you on-board :)

    Denise

Hi Denise! a010.gif Hopefully we'll be having a meet 'n greet. I'm gonna go check out the Roll Call thread. See ya there! k025.gif

  10. UAL....are you still working, I used to was a PSR at CLD and SAN, got an interview as a FO years back for 767 driver.. Phil Fields days.. with the old A and B scale... Still my choice on metal...UAL... in fact heading out to IAH and FRA/ZRH in a day or 2...

I retired in 2012 after 40 yrs of flyin' JFKSW. a040.gif OMG ... A and B scale! lololol Haven't heard that in a loooong time! Are you still working? Sounds like you commute to IAH.

This is our 1st time on O. The interline rate was unbelievable so we had to take it. $1,200 for 10-day NY-NY on 10/18 and NO FLYIN' to boot! The Interline price has since gone back up to $3,400. Do you also utilize the Interline rates?

  11. Lots of experience..... my favorite cabin is 7043 ..... are close 7040 and 8017 and 8036 8039 are good too

The access the comfort, the location is astounding better than many PH for location....

    Hi Hawaiidan!

We were worried about our upcoming stateroom 8036. Thanks so very much for putting us @ ease! (whew!) g018.gif

  12. This is the template we use when emailing our stock information.

I have attached a photo of the relevant page of my stock account statement as proof of ownership of 100 shares of Carnival Corporation Stock (ticker CCL).

If I bought 100 shares today it would cost $5,100. f035.gif
