To buy a day pass (if any are still available) if have to wait until you are on the ship and go to the salon/spa area to buy them.

I'll be sailing on the Nieuw Amsterdam Jan. 3rd. When/Where do I purchase the Spa Pass? Do I go to the Spa directly OR do I go to Guest Services upon embarkation.

My biggest fear is dining solo. Something tells me I'm going to feel awkward being all dressed up sitting there waiting...waiting...and waiting for the next course to be served. I worry that people will be looking, etc. I read where some people bring along their kindle to read during the meal.

Jan. 3rd will be my 1st SOLO voyage. I'll be on the Nieuw Amsterdam for 7-days. I'm 63 yrs young and a bit nervous. The roll-call seems VERY quiet. Hope I didn't make a mistake booking this one.

"Does the Regal Princess charge a FEE for Room Service and Alfredo's Pizzeria? If so, what is the price?"

The 'official answer' from Princess as of 6/23/15:

"There is no charge for either. The only exception to this is pizza delivery via room service and a $3 service charge applies."

(I heard rumors they were charging for both. Great to dispel these rumors!) :)

Breakaway uses a TV brand called SOLE. Has anyone successfully hooked-up their DVD player to it?

I've seen quite a few posts from people who have tried to hook up their DVD players to Philips TVs on Norwegian Gem and other ships with similar TVs, but couldn't, because the RCA (composite video) AV inputs were blocked. Here's how to unlock them, so you could hook up a DVD player, or any other video player that has composite video output.

Problem, though. On our last cruise - Splendor 11/9/13 - I ate myself out of my elegant night dress. Couldn't friggin' wear it on the 6th day! I boarded the ship @ 145 lbs. Came back 154 lbs. :eek:

On my next cruise - Splendor 1/20/14 - I MUST embark @ 135 lbs so I can eat and still fit in my dress!! lololol :D :D

ps - I'm 5'5"
