  1. I did find the new menus for the Seaside they are trying and that they did change the comfort classics sections which you are showing. At least the rest of the menu looks good. They still have the surf and turf from what I have read. Here is the rest of that menu for that day.
  2. I went back to look at our menus from last February and they are the new menus, the exact ones being offered now. I did find the fried chicken and the meatloaf and included some of the menus below to show you how their menus are not inferior IMO. On Carnival, that was all they were serving was Golden Corral food, as you can see below, MSC has a wide variety of food.
  3. Oh great, I really would be happy with that. Guess I will have to go and check those menus. Not to worry though, I have 6 NCL cruises booked right now.
  4. Yes, Suites at 130 days, Platinum and above at 125 days and all others at 120 days out at 12am EST.
  5. I have sailed 12 times on MSC and their food is awesome. MSC's food is quite better than NCL's IMO but we have not sailed NCL since right when the pandemic (Breakaway for 3 weeks). Getting ready to hit Sapphire on NCL in January when we have 3 weeks booked on the Epic. We quit sailing Carnival years ago due to their food going to meatloaf, fried chicken, etc. On our last MSC cruise this past Feb. in the MDR we had Lobster, Prime Rib, Steak Dianne, Rack of Lamb, Veal, Coq Au Vin, Fillet Mignon, and Grouper to name a few items that we enjoyed in the MDR. We do not sail Haven or YC as we usually sail 3 to 4 weeks at a time and can do that amount of days for the price of 1 week in either YC or Haven. CS on MSC, now that leaves a lot to be desired on land. I usually make a reservation and do not have a need to call and change things though. I do agree with you, I am loyal to no brand. We sail for ship, itinerary and price.
  6. I would not send anything delicate or that may shrink. We send out undergarments, socks, jeans and things like that. Send a pair of dh's pants once and they came back so small he couldn't get them on. I sent out a couple of my tshirts once and the dryers were so hot the shirts melted and you could see through them. I take some travel size detergent for our delicates and wash them myself.
  7. No, not transferable and he would need to be 18 or older, he is too young for the thermal spa
  8. Right when I take my nap then get ready for dinner. Guess I would never have my cabin cleaned. Kinda stinks if you can't get it any other time.
  9. We have used it on the Seashore and Meraviglia since Covid. All we had to do was to to the reception desk at the Spa and tell them we wanted to use our free hour. They took our card and told us to go ahead. We stayed over an hour since we lost track of time and not a problem. Love the spa on newer MSC ships. Too bad they raised the price for the week so much. But still cheaper than what NCL wants.
  10. Made our dining reservations last week at 4:00am on the first day we could, 125 days out. Dining times available were 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 for MDR. Later that day someone on our roll call said there were only 2 time slots available. I looked and only 5:30 and 8:30 were available. Today at 119 days out I looked again and the time slots are 5:30, 6:30 and 8:30. Looks like they are changing the available amounts and who knows why. I have not sailed on NCL since February 2020 but if I remember correctly, you were not given a ton of time slots then either. I can't see them doing away with Freestyle dining since that is what they are known for and I sail on MSC a lot and one of the main complaint I see is the set dining times. Most people just don't want set dining times. My question is entertainment. Suppose to be able to book entertainment at 125 days out and it only shows Burn the Floor but says not available to book still at 119 days out. I know Priscilla went away and I have seen Burn the Floor 8 times but I would watch it again since been a while. I sure hope they have some type of entertainment in the theater.
  11. Oh seriously! I forgot that you don't get robes in an inside cabin on NCL. I haven't sailed NCL since 2020.
  12. Depends on how you book the cruise. If it is a 21 day cruise booked as 3 cruises then you will get the benefits 3 x's but if you book it as 21 days then you will get the benefits once. We are booked for 21 days in January but booked as 3 Seven day cruises therefore we get our benefits 3 x's. We will have 6 dining vouchers, 6 bags of laundry, etc.
  13. Priority Restaurant and Entertainment seating and Dinner with the Officers.
  14. I will be 1 day away from Sapphire on my next cruise which is 21 days but doubt I will be Sapphire until after we are back. I am going to check at the CN desk since it is booked as 3 different cruises. Won't hurt.
  15. Not much of a difference in gratuities for Haven than for us in steerage. We pay $20 a day pp
  16. I did...I sail in 125 days and mine only shows 7 excursions, zip line, clam shell and villas, not what you are showing. I was also wondering about floats, etc that that does not show.
  17. Went to the port of call boards and found NOTHING so thought I would ask here since this is NCL. Looking at GSC are there any rentals or excursions other than villas, zip line or clam shell? Not finding anything on our NCL reservation other than those items. Do they release them later closer to sailing (125 days out). Wondering about paddle board, snorkeling, floats, etc. Will they be able to book at a later date?
  18. Because, it is the new "norm". Gratuities goes up, service goes down and people say "oh, they work so hard". For some reason, some people on a cruise feel so much sympathy for their cabin steward that they say it is all okay and we should not complain. Would they do that if their waiter forgot to bring napkins every night to the dinner table or if they never received butter, silverware, etc. Their bartender gave them a whisky instead of a Shirley Temple. I really doubt it. We shower twice a day on a cruise, I like clean towels and wash clothes, so I will be asking to have extra every day.
  19. ohhhhhhh, good idea! Over 50 cruises and never thought of that!!
  20. Pretty common nowadays so you should have no problem! I never really thought about it but I just bought hash guard (UPF50) swimwear. The top is long sleeve and the bottom is to my knees. Seen them everywhere this past February on MSC, I would think NCL is no different.
  21. OOPS forget that! Just figured out that even though it says Too Early To Book, if I click on the link it works. Just made my reservations. WooHoo!
  22. Did something change? I am trying to book our dining reservations for the Epic and we are 125 days out today. We are Platinum so have been able to book at 125 days out for quite a while. This morning I am trying to book at 125 days out and it still says unavailable Did something change? Latitudes benefits still states it is a benefit. Any clues as to why I can't book at 125 days out when Platinum ( will be Sapphire on the next cruise so not like I haven't been Platinum for a while).
  23. I will be Sapphire and my dh will miss being Sapphire by 1 day but he won't get to go to the officers dinner. Just the way it is.
  24. No, I know someone that tried. After signing up you will receive a letter in your cabin stating when, where and also states for Platinum and above.
