  1. Hope you got your date wrong because the Epic sails out of PC on 1/21/24.
  2. We have sailed 5 weeks on the Epic and 3 weeks on the Breakaway. We liked the Epic much more than the Breakaway even though the ships are similar. The bathrooms on the Epic is weird but did not bother us. We have 6 more cruises booked on the Epic and can't wait. The prices on the Epic out of PC is great right now.
  3. $299 is way too much for us. Being that we are on a b2b2b, it would $,1800 for the 3 weeks for the 2 of us. We could take another cruise for that price.
  4. Just curious, how much is the thermal suite pass on the Epic?
  5. Yes they can. I just booked 3 cruises yesterday, used 3 cruise first certificates and received our military discount.
  6. Yes they are transferable. You might want to read through the terms and conditions before you buy one. Here is a link to it. https://www.ncl.com/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions#cruisefirst
  7. Just a heads up...NCL is offering the $250 cruise first again! Yay!
  8. Maybe you should have read the fine print? I missed the $250/$500 deal because I took a day to read all of the fine print but at least I know what I am getting into. Would rather have taken the extra day to read and figure out what I am purchasing before I jump in and purchase then regret it.
  9. Here is the link I use https://www.ncl.com/cruisefirst-program
  10. Yes, I realize that. We were going to purchase them this morning and just our luck they are not offered. I should have done it yesterday but I had just heard of them and wanted to do my research. We will wait for Father's Day and see but really want to get these 3 cruises booked! Hoping they show up again.
  11. Looking for the $250 cruise first certificates. I see they were offered for Mother's day, does anyone know if they ever offer them for Father's Day?
  12. It surprises me that he was surprised. I love the itineraries out of Martinique or Guadeloupe but I would never fly there to cruise out of those ports when NCL and other cruise lines out of the USA goes to most of those ports. We haven't flown in years and drive to the ports. There are a lot of people that drive to ports in the US. Like I said in a previous post, due to the lack of ports that MSC is going to in the Caribbean we are going on NCL again in 2025 after our 14th cruise on MSC. Love the product but the itineraries are getting old. I want to go to Barbadoes, St. Lucia, St. Croix, St. Martin even Bonaire, Grenada, Aruba and Curacao sound good at this point though we have been there numerous times years ago.
  13. I rarely book with a TA but the one we do use occasionally now offers free gratuities on NCL cruises. It was a no brainer to use the the TA and get the free gratuities since we are booked for a 21 day cruise. $800 in gratuities is a big chunk and a lot better than obc to us.
  14. Yes they are but it is not new. We are doing the 11 day along with more but did this exact cruise in 2018 for 32 days. In 2018 it was a 10 and an 11 day. Now it is an 11 day and a 7 day. Nothing new and same ports they have been doing for years. What gets me is it on the Divina which is the exact ship we did it on in 2018. Wish it was on a newer ship with a better spa. Since we have been on all their itineraries and ships we have decided to go back to NCL for a while.
  15. Have never tipped for Platinum laundry. It is your cabin steward that picks it up and delivers it so if you want to give him/her extra then go for it.
  16. I totally agree! We have 21 days booked on MSC next January then we are going back to NCL for the ports. Love MSC but tired of the same old ports after 12 cruises out of the Caribbean.
  17. We were on the Meraviglia in January and received our maccaroons and champagne on the first day. We never did receive our gifts for being Diamond. Received one chocolate bar to share for the two of us on the fourth day.
  18. Do you have paperwork from your TA (which you should) showing you have an obc from them? If not, call them and get it. My TA when I use on (only use if obc) always sends a confirmation of booking and that paperwork shows the TA obc in the details. I then take that with me and if there is a problem the ship I have shown it to the GS and they will contact your TA and find out why it is not there.
  19. Did you book the 2 cruises as one cruise or do they have separate booking numbers? On the Seaside we booked 3 cruises b2b2b and the funds did roll over but it is best if you go to guest services when you get onboard to make sure. The reason why I say this is because we booked a b2b2b on the Divina as 3 different cruises and the obc did not roll over. If you booked as 2 individual cruises then you will get a new cruise card for the second cruise. We we booked as b2b as one cruise (one booking number), we did not get a new cruise card. The answer for the specialty dining is no in my experience. You will need to use the package on one cruise or the other. It all depends if booked as one or two for your answers.
  20. On MSC my obc from the TA has never showed up on my MSC documents. It usually shows up on day 2 of the cruise on your account.
  21. LOL...you made me laugh. I am from KY and we call them "worsh rags". But dh being raised in PA calls them wash cloths.
  22. Trust me, I didn't think about it before we did it. It was a 7 day and a 4 day cruise booked as an 11 day cruise. I will never do a 4 day cruise again and you are correct about the crowd type.
  23. We did not have wash clothes on the Meraviglia this year. We asked the first day and the cabin steward brought us two the second day. After using them we put them on the floor with the dirty towels and he removed them and did not replace them. I am like you and like a clean wash cloth to wash my face with. On day 3 dh had a discussion with the cabin steward about the wash cloths and we never had another problem. No clue why he had a problem leaving them when he always had some on the cart and we would walk out of the cabin and get them when he didn't leave them. I also carry makeup remover clothes from the beauty dept at the drug store just in case this happens. So they came in handy this last trip.
  24. Actually I have done several 7 day cruises in March which is considered to be Spring break time. Once there was 1,000 kids on board. The only time I found there to be waits was this year on a 4 day cruise from Port Canaveral on the Meraviglia (second half of a b2b) when the people were so rude. If you went to the pool on a sea day, yes it was crazy. Therefore, we were smart and went places were we did not have to wait on a drink or fight the crowd. I will never sail on a 4 day cruise again!! It was the "all about me" crowd.
