  1. This would be perfect for you to do with your friend, I have done it on vacations with my grandsons and plan to do it on my trip with my daughter and three grandsons (10, 4. and 14 months) on the Pearl to Alaska in June: get a book of stamps for post cards. Each day, starting at the airport to leave and on the flight, I ask them what they liked most, or in the case of the 10 year old he will write it himself, write about it on a picture postcard and mail them at the first chance. I do it every day sometimes twice a day if it was eventful and when they get home they will have cards to go with their memories of the trip to add to a scrapbook or photo album.

  2. One of my traveling companions for our August cruise just had to do this. She applied in March, about a week later got the news about the birth certificate which took about 10 days to receive and then another 10 days to actually get the passport in. so total time from beginning to end was about 35 days.

  3. Hi,

First, thank you for the fabulous review:)

I am travelling with my father who is in an electric wheelchair but has the ability to stand and walk 10 steps or so.

We are booked into cabin 11203 on the Dream, and he is really looking forward to the Thalasso Pool and the Steam Rooms - however from your pictures it looks like there are stairs up the the Thalasso Pool so I am worried by dad won't be able to get in. (he can climb enough to get into the normal hottubs on the serenity deck)

Do you know if someone in an electric wheelchair would be able to access all the ammenities in the Spa?.

On the Magic, there is about a 10 step staircase to enter the pool area in the spa, so he would have to be able to climb those stairs and then there is about a 3-4 step down into the bottom of the pool in order to move to a seating area.

  4. And my plan is to hopefully make a"build a bear" while on the Magic next January who will then continue to travel with me and the family on future adventures. I don't get the folks who smuggle liquor on board, but I realize I was raised by two serious alcoholics and that has colored my view of folks who can't survive without that much liquor - and I do love a good margarita myself. But I don't plan on criticizing on those posts about smuggling 4 or 5 bottles of liquor for a 7 day cruise.:D
