Keep your name on it but black out your account number.  If the rest isn't there they can't verify it.  I've attached the most recent form that I have with the contact information.  They react pretty quick to both emails and faxes, just check the payments section of the Personalizer and you should see the Shareholder OBC listed within a couple of hours.

Thanks we now have 6 upcoming cruises so I will get this sent off today!  Do I have to provide both our names when I send it in or just mine as the shareholder?

  2. Probably a dumb question but I have to ask it anyway lol 😀  I bought the 100 shares this week and a confirmation showing the number of shares bought showed up  in my trading account this morning.  Our cruise date is Aug 8th so I'd like to send off the request ASAP.  If I black out everything but my name and share purchase is that acceptable no idea when I would get a monthly statement.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is what information does Princess require I send?   TIA

I think the US is going to open for the fully-vaccinated at least - even if Trudeau still has his head in the sand by July 21.

That would be awesome if we can get out by car they have to let us back in lol.  Just wish he'd hurry up and quit dragging it out.

@SprocketSounds like things are falling into place for you! I haven't been able to enter my passport information yet into the APP, it's in my profile on princess.com but for some reason won't carry over to the APP.  I need to call somebody about that...  My husband and son are still waiting for their passports, nothing like waiting until the last minute! Hope they make it on time! We have original birth certificates as a back-up but it's not ideal.  I double checked though since it's a closed loop out of seattle that they would be acceptable.

Have you done a Medallion cruise before?  They have not asked me to scan my passport and I honestly can't remember if we did that in 2019 think I've read somewhere they may already have that info.  When you find out I'd be interested in what they say.

Fingers crossed their passports arrive soon!

You will be able to drive in Jan - weather permitting.  Border will be open long before then.

We sail August 8th, 2021.  I sincerely hope it is open for all cruises we have booked.

@Sprocket I am also on the August 8th cruise and was able to pick embarkation last week, it just became available one day in the APP.   I had 3 options with the first time being 11:30-12:15 so I took the earliest time since we are flying in the night before.  Hopefully it stays that way since I wanted the early time. 😄

We hope to drive down but I think I should book at least one way air soon, no idea when we'll find out if/when the border will open to allow us to drive.  I think I booked our hotel in January lol and also got 11:30-11:45 boarding time.  Reservations for dining and excursions all locked in so we are good to go.  I am a little more optimistic that we will actually go every time the app updates, pretty sure the Covid part won't be until about 3 days before we sail so the information is current.

My QR code showed up last week so everything seems to be clicking into place.

  7. So happy this is happening!

HONOLULU -- Hawaii is dropping its testing and quarantine rules for vaccinated domestic travelers in two weeks.

Gov. David Ige says the state will drop the current travel restrictions for fully vaccinated U.S. mainland travelers on July 8.
The governor says he expects the state will reach a 60% vaccination rate among all residents by that time. Ige had previously set a 60% rate as a milestone for allowing more so-called vaccine passports.

Restaurants will also be able to seat up to 75% of their capacity.
People will still be required to wear a mask when gathering indoors. Masks are not required outdoors.

  8. When I press for our December cruise (second one) the date highlights and turns green , the odd time I have to reboot my ipad because it won't light up.  But there should be your ship, sailing date, cabin number etc.

I have 4 cruises listed and can go from one to the other with no issue.

You may have to call Princess for assistance if you can't access your info pretty much everything is through there now.

Actually, scrap my comment above.  You have quoted a standard line from Princess Travel Summary.  This isn't the real situation.  In past practice, the ships are ready to board after 11:00am sometime and before noon.  Usually around 11:30am has been our experience.

What they are doing is supposedly enforcing a certain number of boarding groups with specified entry times to the terminal.  No one really knows (AFAIK) how many groups, how much time between groups and the times for each group.

The enhanced cleaning protocols could delay things as well.  Not sure if or when they will do crew testing but that could slow things down too.  We’ll just head down after we checkout of our hotel drop off our bags and hope there is something anything nearby to do.

Considering the All-Aboard will be 3:30pm, I don't see how they process everyone in 2.5 hrs if truly only opening the doors at 1:00pm.  That is much later than normal.  But perhaps only sailing with half the normal load.  There will be people lined up waiting for sure I would say.

No idea but with everyone preloading everything into the Medallion they must be counting on a very organized checkin I think there is a QR code they are launching to help speed things up.  Two cruises before ours to get the kinks out and I am hoping it all goes well for everyone.

  11. Spoke with the Casino Department and was told it was not combinable but I am watching the stock and if it gets to a certain point I will probably buy it anyway.  I can always send it in and if its refused not the end of the world but we have 2 20 day cruises booked so will lose out on $500 (that I probably would have spent in the casino anyway lol)

  12. What does your booking summary say?  Copied from ours Your ship begins boarding at 01:00PM on Aug 08 and sets sail at 04:00PM on Aug 08 and I read on earlier posts that early arrivals will not be allowed in the terminal but passengers should be advised.    As of today I think we are 55 days out and this showed up in the select boarding section of the app.   No other information given and still no option to choose a specific boarding time.  But its something new lol.  With our offer we are supposed to have Priority Check in but as this is only our second Princess cruise no idea if that also means Priority Boarding.

    Less waiting,
    faster check-in

  13. This sailing is not happening for somewhere around 6 months from now.   I think a lot of people are taking a wait and see attitude with the upcoming Alaska cruises.  I believe lots of families at this time  are unable to book because of the ages of their children and not being able to be vaccinated.  Still lots of people not fully vaccinated and I think that will change for some when they start to see the ships sailing without them.  I recognize there are some who refuse to be vaccinated under any circumstances and that is their decision.  Personally we couldn't wait for our second shot.

I would be surprised if ships sailed much below whatever capacity levels they have set even if they have to offer some spectacular pricing, but I think they will wait until after final payment to do so.

I'm only on HAL.  I have indeed had the CCL shareholder benefit approved on many cruises when the price is what my  PCC tells me is my "casino rate".  However, I have NEVER had it approved when on any of the free (complimentary) stateroom offers -- got one coming up in November.  That has been MY experience in many years on HAL.  YMMV.

Thanks I was curious about HAL too although I stopped sailing with them a number of years ago.  No real reason just moved on.

Pre-COVID, a lot of people on casino comps were getting turned down for the shareholder benefit.  Some that had paid upgrades were able to get it and a few on full comps were able but this seemed infrequent.  Definitely hit or miss.  Policy states: "Employees, travel agents cruising at travel agent rates, tour conductors or anyone cruising on a reduced-rate or complimentary basis are excluded from this offer."

Thanks I was about to buy my shares this week, we paid to upgrade to a mini suite on all but one offer that was for that category cabin so it sounds like its hit or miss.  Maybe I'll call them and see what they say.

@Sprocket Thanks for the reply.  Due to the uncertainty of flight times using the NCL air promo, prohibitively expensive flights if purchased independently, and other logistical issues, we have decided to switch from the Bliss out of LA to the Encore from Miami.

Have a great cruise!  I know flights take a lot out me now and at 68 I'm constantly amazed at the stamina of seniors older than me.    We did a red eye to Jamaica from Vancouver 12 years ago, hubby was down for 2 days.

  17. For flights within the U.S., as well as most international flights, baggage will generally not be accepted for check-in more than four hours before a scheduled flight departure, although this policy varies by airport and daily check-in counter hours

For a flight that late I would book a nice hotel room with a shuttle to the airport.  She'll have someplace to rest and lots have decent restaurants.  Way too long a day for me with no place to hang out.

Yes, it is color coded and I am sure the driver will have your cell number so it should be pretty easy.

Great!  I know there should be signage in the airport just want to make sure we exit in the right place so we're not back tracking or sprinting 😁
