  2. I was confused when looking at the thermal suite description and reviews for the Breeze.  Looking at the price it gives me the option of switching "primary guest" between me and my husband.  In one review it says that the suite is booked for the cabin.  So the question is the price for the thermal suite per person or per cabin?

It is Port Canaveral.   Does it make sense to show up like 45 min early so we can park and check our bags and stuff?

Yes, the parking and checking bags are outside of the checkin area. They consider the arrival time as the time you get to the front of the line outside the terminal. We get to the port about 30 minutes before our arrival time.  Then we drop off our bags, park the car and walk to the terminal.

  4. You did not say what port.In Galveston there is an "on time" line and a "before or after your assigned time" line. They allow you to get in line and enter the terminal, but the "on time" line is a lot shorter, Once you get in the terminal you have to wait till your assigned boarding zone is called. So you may get into the terminal at 11am, but there will be a delay to get on the ship.

No issue to check your bags.

    She can have mine.

I plan on taking the ones I currently have back the ship and pass them off to a couple of young ones with their parent's permission  Also considering taking the pins I have accumulated and doing the same.  Decluttering and giving a treat to a  young one.

After speaking with a carnival rep... The screens have changed.

Before you could select gift cards and enter the info hit apply and you were done.

Now its a new payment area, after selecting gift cards and entering the info, then click apply.

you still need to go down to the 'Other Payment" section and enter the total amount of the gift cards and click select then submit again.

Thanks for that explanation,. I just purchased $700. in gift cards and was running in circles trying to redeem them.

Ameritrade puts your personal data on a different page of the monthly statement so you either need to send both pages or combine the pages.  A real pain.  Have had it rejected when I sent two pages and had to resubmit.

I had a rejection because of two pages. I ended up doing a cover page with the statement that they would be getting two pages of brokerage statement. One with name and one with stock verification. I also numbered the pages 1 and 2.  No problems once I started doing that.

I'm ordering two of these today! Why did Carnival do away with trays? Getting lunch or breakfast on Lido is a challenge even with both hands free - dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, utensils, cup, dessert plate. A lot to fit on a tray, but impossible to get it all in one trip without one. Thanks for the tip.

Saves labor and costs.  No more washing of the thousands of trays. Saves the cost of water. Saves on food costs. Over the years Carnival switched from trays to platter sized plates and then to regular plates. Less surface = less space for food to be placed. Less food = less cost and less waste.

Using Cruise Cash to fund an S&S account before the cruise allows one to purchase drinks at one of the bars as the ship leaves port and sounds like a practical plan. But just to be clear, if I use a gift card to transfer a portion of the funds on that card to the S&S account,  THAT IS refundable? What happens? Guest Services transfers unused funds back to the gift card?

If you do not use all of the $ from the gift card and it is more than $10, you will receive a new e-gift card. My last cruise I got it about 2 days after the cruise ended.

I hope trays will be provided on Lido so if one wants to bring food and drink for more than one person back to the room, they can.  My past waitressing skills were put to the test when I wanted to surprise my DDs with breakfast in bed and no trays were available.

We packed our own tray last cruise.

  12. Carnival, along with Royal, NCL, Princess etc are part of a voluntary organization called CLIA. It is very likely that all current and upcoming changes to covid policies are a direct result of agreements reached through that organization. If that is accurate, then expect most  cruise lines to be following the same patterns, or close to them

CLIA's mission statement is "Our team is proud to provide a unified voice for the global cruise community, which offers travelers the best way to experience the world by supporting policies and practices to advance a safe, secure, healthy and sustainable cruise ship environment and promoting positive travel experiences for the nearly 30 million passengers who cruise annually."
